Can i use the CMW in lightning rom to flash it?

I will follow the below step as in xda , any add on b4 i proceed?

Q: I'm coming from a different ROM how can i install this ROM ?
A: Follow the steps below
Get into the CWM recovery
Wipe Data/factory reset
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik-Cache
Wipe Battery Stats
Wipe Data/factory reset
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik-Cache
Wipe Battery Stats
Install the wipe version of this ROM

Last but not least, the wipe version of this rrom mean u need to wipe everything b4 u flash it with CMW right?

sorry for long question~~ ^^
*
Since your coming from lite'ning, no need the kitchen.
Yes you can use the current CWM to flash.
There is no wipe version so you will have to manually wipe as per the instruction. Yes everything will be gone so make backups first.

i know i can't use both but i wan to carry the spare 1650MAH ard when my 2k MAH dry out smile.gif
*
I use the 2k mah cover for both battery. No sticking anything to anything. rclxub.gif I think as long as you don't throw your phone around the 1650 batt would not come lose.

Thanks!!!  notworthy.gif

I see you are trying out a new ROM? How is it compared to CheckROM?
*
The new rom is ok so far. Not issue yet. But my opinion all Samsung based rom are the same if it is well cooked. So just go for themes and stuff that you like.

Dark knight is the kernel. Checkrom rev HD is the rom. It use to be like that unless he changed it.

Got any difference? Can flash custom ROM? sad.gif

So what processor is this T version using? The original one or the underclocked one? sad.gif
*
Its the same original exynos processor and you can use the same custom roms as non-G i9100.

i feel mine one cant kill it clean  sad.gif

I don't use any task killer. Android can manage this very well. Plus our device got lots of memory.

Oooo.. Yay, so I can like just flash? biggrin.gif

I just realised I must flash the radio modem something after I flash the custom rom.
Does that mean I can't use this phone in Malaysia? sad.gif
*
You should be able to use it in Malaysia. Just need to flash custom ROM, csc and modem. The T version got specific customization for Australian telco which you won't need here.

isn't that true running more apps will slow down our phone n waste more battery??
*
Androids kill idle apps on its own. By not using task killer my device have never slowed down and my batt last just as long as others.

Going back Malaysia for holiday for about 3 weeks.
Means I have to flash modem thingy when I go back, then flash back when I come back to Aussie?
*
Wah you need to use in both places ka. Then when you get to malaysia see if you can use or not first? If can no need to flash lo. Tedious.

Why you cannot just go to xda forum and type "betterbatterystats" on the search bar and click search? And yet you can post here asking for link. Sigh... doh.gif

the few main wakelocks.

wakelock

there doesn't seem to be anything on partial wakelocks, the most is 0.1% with 1 minute..
*
Monitor abit longer to see if anything turned up. From your batt usage previously, your device woke up alot when screen was off.

Checkrom 3.1.1 + siyah DK 2.3 drain battery quite fast compare to Lightning Rom~~ ><"
*
Since you just flash a new rom, you should give it a few days before evaluating the battery. Not sure about 3.1.1 but Checkrom 2.0 was good on battery. rolleyes.gif

so do i just freeze the app/service that cause lots of wakeup?

Well it depends on what it is. Most wakelocks can be prevented by properly exiting an app.

Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Network Mode.

You can change it to your liking. By default it would be in auto mode and will use H/3G if available.

To be used by apps such as your phone.apk. Example when you talk on the phone, the screen will turn off cos the proximity sensor sense your head lor.
