have a good feeling that shelvey will be a top player , he is currently the second top scorers for blackpool fc behind philips

Blackpool Top Scorers

Phillips 7
Shelvey 6

QUOTE
A disappointed Ian Holloway told the official website, "Obviously this is a setback to us as Jonjo has done ever so well in his short time with us, we knew that Liverpool had the recall option on him and it was only the unfortunate injury to Lucas that has prompted them to take this course of action. I would like to thank Jonjo for his efforts with us and Kenny for allowing him to come to us, we will be in regular contact with Liverpool about trying to bring him back in January should Liverpool's injuries clear up."

keeping my fingers crossed waiting an official announcement on the injury of lucas, i dont see us doing well without him around, he has really step up with gerrard out and carra out too for a few games, and altho reina is also a leader on the pitch, i think lucas has really grown into a good player who has time on his side to grow further.

honourable mention to coates whom i thought was brilliant, easily his best game yet, kelly too and he got a goal, for a local lad, thats huge. cant wait for the semis, at the same time, hoping lucas is only out for a week ! spearing is decent but he's not quite there yet. pls god, let lucas be fine ! carroll was better last night, but he should've scored the penalty..bellamy should keep kuyt on the bench with his form atm, felt a sense of sadness when watching him wipe his tears upon the appreciation for gary. once again, RIP gary, and bring on fulham this weekend.

risse marking bellamy anyone ? tongue.gif

lastly, good to see the malaysian backed cardiff is in the semis too. if im not mistaken, they are gonna take safiq rahim on trial. our malaysian team captain who scored the freekick in the friendly against us..

6 months is pretty much the remaining of the season. But it always depend on the player, some heal better than most. Hopefully the fringe players can step up and do the job for us. If not we just need to hang on till January and make our move then if necessary.

Looks like Lucas' injury is a pretty serious one. I hope he can still make it for Carling Cup Final. He deserves to play there!

We got City doh.gif

Return leg is at Anfield. Not sure if that's good especially we suck in home game recently.

If i were Lukaku, I'd fessed up and told the ref it was I that made the challenge. Don't see how I could let my mate take the fall for a crime I committed.

I know whose's name I'm going to get for next season's home jersey.
Was thinking the same thing although I don't believe in having names on my back unless they prove to be Anfield legends, which explains why I only have Carragher's name on my kits. I try to avoid the temptation to stay current like everyone else. As good as he is I'm not going to get a Suarez until he cements himself in Liverpool folklore. Look what happened with Torres.

I will however deeply consider getting a Lucas one as I feel he's displayed all the traits of a Liverpool type player. He's put his head down amidst the criticism and now displays the energy and enthusiasm befitting of one who deserves to wear the Red shirt, a right not many in the current squad has earned yet. The other name I'd consider getting is Kuyt's

My heart sank as I saw the news. Ligament damage. Best not to rush him back. The fact that so many fans are alarmed by this news is testament to the player that he has become.

I don't see the point in the trial though. Unless we achieve a top 70 ranking in the world, what chance does Safiq or Safee Sali have of playing in England?

Cardiff may be Malaysia backed but I'm not a fan of the owner and neither are many Malaysians I can tell you that. If you haven't already, try reading up about him. He has screwed many people over and continues to do so. Is it also mere coincidence Cardiff actually have a chance of winning the cup after being bought by a man who owns just about every slot machine in the country, and wanted to legalize sports betting?

It will be a tough semi final and final. If we do win City and get either one of those teams, it will not be a walk in a park. Cardiff/Palace are considered underdogs and underdogs always play better under pressure.
