keeping my fingers crossed waiting an official announcement on the injury of lucas, i dont see us doing well without him around, he has really step up with gerrard out and carra out too for a few games, and altho reina is also a leader on the pitch, i think lucas has really grown into a good player who has time on his side to grow further.

honourable mention to coates whom i thought was brilliant, easily his best game yet, kelly too and he got a goal, for a local lad, thats huge. cant wait for the semis, at the same time, hoping lucas is only out for a week ! spearing is decent but he's not quite there yet. pls god, let lucas be fine ! carroll was better last night, but he should've scored the penalty..bellamy should keep kuyt on the bench with his form atm, felt a sense of sadness when watching him wipe his tears upon the appreciation for gary. once again, RIP gary, and bring on fulham this weekend.

risse marking bellamy anyone ? tongue.gif

lastly, good to see the malaysian backed cardiff is in the semis too. if im not mistaken, they are gonna take safiq rahim on trial. our malaysian team captain who scored the freekick in the friendly against us..

yes, its true we've recalled jonjo, and i admit, at some stage, i was frustrated with lucas, esp his first few months, but i had faith, and most importantly Rafa had faith in him. now i hope the same will happen to henderson and carroll, i can see their enthusiasm on the pitch, i hope it will soon translate to better performances and some goals esp for our no.9. i think spearing and henderson can do a decent job covering for lucas while jonjo will be on the bench. hopefully, gerrard comes back n stays fit this time.

my tots : yes red card changed the game, but 11 v 11, it was super exciting end to end, open play football, thought we had the better of the chances and look more of a threat.. sucks that ref's decision changed the game, it was only last week when manu dropped 2 points cuz of a bad penalty decision. i used to tell my mates that this is part of football, human error, so i guess im gonna sucked up n get on with it.. had always believed that football might find ways cutting down these errors by employing an extra referee on the pitch.

feel for spearing though, thought he was decent out there, certainly looked like losing after he left.

defence look alright imo, apart from reina's mistake, cant fault him tho, has been brilliant. another bad performance by carroll, could have scored, and probably should have with his golden chance... and when does downing want to open his account ? another awesome shot saved by keeper/post.

this is very frustrating. feel for all the players, hope for more of the same against qpr apart from the inability to put the ball in the net after creating lots of chances and applying pressure. king kenny should teach them a thing or two of how to put the ball in the back of the net !

both manu and manc is out of the champs league !!!!!! what a happy day, looks like fergie has to wait another year to try to add to his champs league medal collection ! rclxms.gif

cant wait to see what reasons those 'fans' give, to be honest, some of them are still in reality mode realising their team wasnt good enough against basel. anyways shaqiri is one to watch for the future.

back to us, lots of rumours surrounding 2 attacking players in gaston ramirez and eduardo vargas, but as of now, im pretty satisfied with the squad, kinda feel kenny should probably look into our goalscoring problems. for me, our defence is pretty solid, and going forward, we're creating chances, just not finishing them. i'd take a 5 shots, 2-1 win against a 10 shots, 1-1 draw or 1-2 loss anyday anytime.

spearing for all his energy and also the sentimental value of being the local lad, isnt good enuf imo, n he's not that young, he's 23 and he needs to improve if he plans to stay in the first team imo.

No disrespect to QPR but it's games against the likes of QPR that Coates should be given a start to gain more exposure. Not so crazy imo.

yeah, tot of that too, considering the physical/aerial threat of heidar helguson. skrtel dont always fare well against big physical forwards.

need to contain barton and faurlin and without lucas, im a lil worried plus our home form hasn't been good. if we cant get 3 points come this sat, we are in for a rocky ride.

oh btw, no to toulalan. im sure he's enjoying his money at malaga, plus he's not that young either. doubt he'll leave. come on, be realistic, stop making football manager like comments.

I would love to see Internacional sensational striker Leandro Damiao alongside Suarez, would be a deadly duo and we could see goals coming from the combo..

wont be cheap considering both arsenal and spurs are interested too and not forgetting other clubs in europe. i dont think its a wise idea to get torres back for 20mil, i however have the believe that with the right tactics and mindset esp in his head, he can be as good as before. unlike carroll and suarez, he is a PROVEN goalscorer. and looking at our current squad, we have none. suarez has been brilliant, but his goals-conversion rate is the lowest and so is our club. we have been waiting a few matches now for our players to turn up and bang in some goals but so far, nothing has materialised.

we cant be controlling matches and knocking on opponent's goal without actually scoring. we dont want a tease, we want some goal-fest. we can say that opponent's goalkeepers has been brilliant when they come to anfield, and for all his brilliance in addressing the media, his cheekiness and humour, king kenny cant no longer hide the fact that we have been poor in front of goal.

even kuyt has been really poor imo, how is he still starting games is puzzling me. he has been waiting for his 50th goal for sometime now.
