Just wanna ask ....about bike cleaning ...

Each time after cleaning your bike do you degrease and relube your chains ? Or relube enough?

I just learned that you can use WD40 (which is cheaper) to degrease ...rather than use a more expansive Degreaser ..ie Finish Line stuffs ....

I only do degrease if the chain and other moving parts really really really dirty. But relube after every wash.
Try not to use WD40 at all as it will "karat" your chains.

Cheapest degrease is degreaser sell in dyi shop. Wd40 is expensive and is not intend for degrease. Wd40 n rp7 is water displacer.

U degrease with water base degreaser n water. Then spray wit wd40/rp7 to remove the water n coat the metal from rust. Few hours later or prior ride relube with chain lube. Best is do this after every offeoad ride.

I don't use raibow painted chains wo? Also cassette is anondized, not painted. I use on my Deore crank, which is painted. I don't leave it on for too long, but I don't see any paint chip. Heck when I raw the cranks, I have to use lotta paint strippers and alot of elbow grease to depaint it.

Not sure bout the hub & frame though... I took it off the wheels when I did mine.
