Haha I'm not too sure tbh. Mum has a quartz Santos which costs less than 10k, but she bought it a long long time ago.

Seeing yonggoh's Daytona reminded me - saw on WUS yesterday, the new rainbow Daytona is gonna cost a shocking 70k Euros apparently!
Also yonggoh, if you don't mind me asking, what credit card company did you redeem it from and for how many points?

Popped by Rolex KLCC to ask about the Tudor Black Bay. The girl there said it should be coming in April (so soon blink.gif) and will cost approx RM10,500 after discounts. Perhaps it is time to add another diver into the collection laugh.gif

the new rainbow daytona is FUGLY!!! yawn.gif

The watch winder can be had for maybank and redeemed with 87,000points smile.gif

In real life the Altiplano is a thing to behold... such a thin case with a beautiful auto movement... truly a mastercraft of watch making... it truly is like a wristband that tells the time...

I have always been fond of the house of zenith smile.gif
If not for my daytona i might've pulled the trigger on a Striking 10th...

Another dress watch in contention is the JLC Ultra thins... *sigh*

So many choices...not enough $alad for them all sad.gif

Thanks for your warm welcome.

Congrats to your Daytona acquisition too. I was contemplating between a Submariner and Panerai basic model 112 & 104. Just want to look a bit rugged. That's why went for the Panerai Pam359 with in house movement.
*
I was also considering the PAM104 as my introduction into the Panerai family!
In the end i paid "a little more" and went with a PAM312... the in house movement, sandwich dial and 1950 case sealed the deal! biggrin.gif

I like the G-Shock as the beater...
Revolutionary at the time and still highly iconic and relevant smile.gif Also cause it fulfils the criteria of "beat with no regret"... you guys who have a Submariner down as a beater must be RICH! yawn.gif
Oh... and lets see our Rollies survive this...
http://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/remember-...see-348477.html
yawn.gif

I can understand the historic sentiment to have the Reverso as the dress watch but I think the Piaget Altiplano is the modern espression of dressed up swag smile.gif

The Chronograph should the the Zenith El Primero or the Zenith Daytona. Some fellas may reckon the Omega Speedy Pro Moonwatch has a strong case here...

But the the list was compiled by askmen... and for all the fellas who read their articles regularly...u know how they are smile.gif

Justin Beiber wears the CASIO GLX-5600-7 G-SHOCK G-LIDE...often in different colours...
Kanye West wears the GX-56 (this thing is MASSIVE!!!)

IMHO they all got nothing on the legendary Frogman! biggrin.gif

congrats ! not a pro, but jewels in watches refers to the bearings for the movements usually made of spphire or other semi precious stones to improve the accuracy and withstand wear and reduce friction.
*
and nowadays..even those precious stones are fake smile.gif even in the high profile brands...
hehehe
