50%! Man that is a big discount, all the more if it's a current model and not NOS.

Saw a picture of the new white Planet Ocean. What a striking bezel and dial! Would not mind wearing this at all...if I had the funds tongue.gif

Look at the sales period posted, it's already over.

The nighthawk is probably the best choice in the 600-700 dollar range. I'd say go for it but try to get the one with steel bracelet; my leather strap had some discoloration at the edges not long after I bought it.

Iirc there's the US and Asian version. On the Asian version the caseback is engraved and the dial does not have the 'Nighthawk' wording.

...and on the other end...there are smaller watch companies who dont have the means to produce hundreds of thousands of watches...so everything they make is labelled as 'limited edition'...

Like Panerai? tongue.gif

The dial ruined it for me.

this getat.. is mechanical... not automatic...
as for watch winders.... are there any.. less expensive ones?  sweat.gif

Technically an automatic movement is mechanical. So is a manual/hand wind movement, which I think is the accurate description of yours smile.gif

Breitling dials look too busy for my liking, never really warmed up to the brand. For aviator/pilot watches my current favorite would be IWC flieger series.

last weekend went to pavilion and check out the ML roadshow.

Love the pontos model but the discount is only can go up to 30%

sigh...

where else can get more than 30%, pls pm me as I wanna to get this watch.

thx

30% is a pretty decent discount from AD. Anything more than that you may have to go the grey dealer way.

It should be able to get close to 30%

Nope, I am not a seller...but if you want, I can be one  rclxms.gif

You can get the Engineers series chrono for under 5k? I think the non chrono maybe but the chrono costs more than that even after discount.

Speedy or Seamaster Pro are worthy considerations. Recently saw a few models of Zenith Open Port Royal on sale for 3.5k USD, very tempted myself to get one.

The Steinhart marine is pretty good looking as a dress watch. First time I've seen a blue rotor being used, perhaps to match the blued hands?

^That's a nice piece. Always liked Sinn but they seem a bit on the pricey side.

It's hands down Mido for me. Nicely decorated movement trumps the other two. Naturally you'd expect the price point to be slightly higher than quartz models.

If by same maker you mean ETA then you're right. Generally I've noticed the movements in Mido are better decorated (elabore or even higher grade) than the others. Read the first page of this thread about movement grades.
