I dont know. I dont have a Myvi. That's where you guys need to correct me.

Missing the 3 is really.... sweat.gif. The 1 and 2 supposed to be the low gear and 3 is the high gear while 4 (D) is the over drive gear. Everytime when overtaking on trunk roads, the engine must be screaming like mad whenever the gear is dropped to 2. rclxub.gif

BTW, Myvi ada O/D off function kah?

for 2nd gen i noe gt O/D off, LB n LPLB seems like no. and gear 3 i think LB n LPLB have oni (cnt rmb previous gen have or not, too long din drive d ><)

Just did a quick google, apparently the first gen is L - 2 - D and the new one is 2 - 3- D4

The new one should provide a better drive when shifting manually compared to the old one.

I don't think so @@ Multimedia is quite expensive. SA won't be able to afford it lol

rarely people use L anyway since the max speed it can go is very slow (20-25km/h). Its a wise choice of perodua to omit it and put in the more useful 3rd gear in it.

As for the first gen D is 4 and OD off is 3, I am not 100% sure, but theoretically, it should be. Siapa mau try? Start up from L then when reach 25kmh shift to 2. Before shift to D, press the OD off button then shift to D. and when somewhere near highway speed, press the OD off button again and see any drop in rpm or not. If it drops means it shifts from 3 to 4. If not, dunnolah. rclxub.gif lol

common sense indicates that if it really makes the gearbox goes wonky, why would Perodua put it there in the first place.

Sendiri shift from L > 2 > D, it wont make the gearbox spoil easily. But constant downshift to 2 from a high speed (eg: 110kph), it will make the gearbox dies faster.

how to test 0-100? Slot into D and pedal the throttle to the metal. Only the TCU knows the optimum shifting points. lol

aye...just got my car bang on the rear bumper
hit with the new SAGA when reverse, the SAGA just some scratches and minor dent, but my bumper cracked and 1 sensor gone. bonet also hurts blush.gif

i am driving the 2009 exclusive version..
the gear shift is L-2-D
D is 4th gear
whereas OD is chunk down to 3rd gear...

L really lacks of power...its good for uphill climb..
in case u wanna speed from standstill..
pull it to 2..then step on it...it can easily achieve high rev...

OD off wise...when u are driving on highway about 90-100..and u wanna overtake the car infront..
pressing the OD will easily push ur car forward to 130 or 140 and change back to D and u wont feel the decrease of power...

i tried to speed on my myvi about 160..very very floaty...hoping some bars and chasis foam will help though...

@ace - OD Off, okay. So when I'm in Gear D, my speed around 90. I press the OD? then press again and use D as 4th gear?

D = 4th gear, means the daily auto myvi drivers are always on 4th gear?
