i am driving the 2009 exclusive version..
the gear shift is L-2-D
D is 4th gear
whereas OD is chunk down to 3rd gear...

L really lacks of power...its good for uphill climb..
in case u wanna speed from standstill..
pull it to 2..then step on it...it can easily achieve high rev...

OD off wise...when u are driving on highway about 90-100..and u wanna overtake the car infront..
pressing the OD will easily push ur car forward to 130 or 140 and change back to D and u wont feel the decrease of power...

i tried to speed on my myvi about 160..very very floaty...hoping some bars and chasis foam will help though...

@ace - OD Off, okay. So when I'm in Gear D, my speed around 90. I press the OD? then press again and use D as 4th gear?

D = 4th gear, means the daily auto myvi drivers are always on 4th gear?
*
bro...in normal driving..when u put into D..the gear change itself....from 1 to 2 to 3 and to 4...
L-2-D and OD Off...is for u to change manually...coz some drivers like me like to have full control on the gear shift...
bt...from what i heard lar......if u change the gear manually in a consistent manner..it will create a lot of damage to the gear box....
and fixing the myvi gear box is not cheap though....

for manual..its ok to drag to redline only change gear..
provided u need to use high grade gear oil..then it help to smoothen the gear transition...

if u are driving manual and u wan to have faster gear change..
there is 1 thing called short shifter i think..i heard from the nissan sentra gang before...

@ikiey: wow bro thank you so much for the explaination!
So for the sizing between 1.6 and 2.0 i would leave it to the exhaust shop, most probably i think he will ask me to take 2.0 since the price not big different and of course they want to earn thats why.

What is the standard sizing of pipe for myvi?i mean old gen.

Added on November 24, 2011, 10:25 am
How not to void the gearbox warranty?since repair cost a lot, need to aware of it.

Kind of regret i didnt take manual,sigh...
*
take good care of ur gearbox lor..and i think..in the user manual..it is stated there when to change the gearbox oil de..so must follow lor...

QUOTE(ikiey @ Nov 24 2011, 10:33 AM)
Standard is 1.5" diameter Bro.. Bro, if piping soo big, FC really bad ooo
*
actually..bigger piping does not directly leads to better performance de mah...bt it will confirm worsen ur FC

QUOTE(rest @ Nov 24 2011, 10:37 AM)
Wow,so 1.6 just little different will it make any changes?
I already feel that my fc drop so if 2.0 really give more power i would just give up the fc.
Haha

At first i research 4-2-1 better for auto, but when i went to that shop he said what 4-1 better so i end up 4-1.
*
mine is auto and i use 4-2-1

QUOTE(ikiey @ Nov 24 2011, 10:54 AM)
Uve changed the extractor already ker rest...?? I also tout 4-1 more suitable for auto... IMHO, 2 piping is too big lar...
Try read here ---> Exhaust system mod  many sifus there, but that forum like dead already..
*
yah..2 inch is too big for myvi ady...it will work better for higher CC cars such as sentra or even evo...

QUOTE(rest @ Nov 24 2011, 11:07 AM)
tongue.gif i thought my pic last time can see the extractor what haha
Erm i think rm3xx something cant remember.at kweng shop lo budget.
I went alot exhaust shop all the price so expensive like rm6xx and finally found kweng the price ok for me.
*
i changed my extractor at cheras..they quoted me rm 320...4-2-1 extractor...

QUOTE(IceFlame21 @ Nov 24 2011, 11:14 AM)

Dear all myvians, if you allow me..here is a long post/review of mine...

I drove my black exclusive edition myvi for about 2 years for now.
During this 2 year, there are some problem i faced:

1) Absorber mounting spoil as soon as i get my car
2) Absorber spoil after 1 and a half year
3) "Krok Krok" sound from the front
4) "Ting Ting" sound from the silencer of the exhaust system
5) Rattling sound from the passenger side door
6) Steering shakes when high speed braking

Solution
1) Changed my absorber mounting from my foreman friend
2) This irritates me the most. I have changed 6 pieces of front absorber before getting the final 2 one working fine and excellent
3) I bought 4 brake caliper pin from LYN. Now it eliminates the krok krok sounds
4) Changed my entire exhaust system in Cheras. And i bought another silencer to be included in the exhaust system. Bt myvi type silencer does not last long..the Ting Ting sound still exists.
5) My foremen friend sticks sponge to the center locking system. It appears 1 of the trigger lose and causes contact with the chasis
6) Gonna purchase OEM Brembo Disc Rotor from LYN...quoted me RM210..is it worth it?

Overall, here is some things i changed for my myvi...

I thought IMP locally made. lolx.
I only heard IMP is oem race disc rotors? o.O

I think IMP with 5.1 brake fluid, brake hose. U get best brake feel I suppose. or go get Honda disc rotors. biggrin.gif
*
honda disc rotor? is the the nexxus dat 1?

QUOTE(ikiey @ Nov 27 2011, 12:46 AM)
My dad's myvi on IMP rotor n pads previously, now changed to vttr pads.... IMP rotor will perform so much better than the stock rotor... 140-0 can settle without shaking at all... The pads also really good, bites harder as warmer it gets... The disc is also slotted and cross drilled, for that racy looks..  laugh.gif  Hehehe, though its not huge like the 11" rotor that nexxus warrior selling... That one more garang, + bigger caliper sumore....
Price forgot already.. But in the region of 500 bucks kot..
*
bro..500 for the disc rotor onli? should pair with what kind of brake pad as well?

u can choose urself which size of rotor u want. biggrin.gif

go view his thread ba. need at least rm5xx +

Added on November 27, 2011, 1:29 amps: Yes, its plug and play. too bad brembo max dont have for myvi. so sad.
*
5++ for disc rotor onli ar? izzit kinda expensive?

QUOTE(ikiey @ Nov 27 2011, 01:30 AM)
Heheh, not to that extend lar Bro.. My dad complain about the shaking problem, even went to SC 3 times to change disc, eventually gave up, that is when i read about the IMP products, n gave it a try.. Untill now still very strong the performance... But i just change IMP rotor n pads only without brake fluid n steel lines etc... My dad use that car just like normal usage, go to shop to buy grocery, go fetch sister from college etc only... But when it comes to me that i misuse it... Hehehe, do all sorts of testing etc... During that time i still dun have a car, so when the brake problem rises, quickly go racun my dad... Hehehe

Added on November 27, 2011, 1:32 am

Dun really remeber Bro... But +/- 500, inclusive of installation, brake pads, rotors, and center cone... All in

Added on November 27, 2011, 1:35 am

Bro... Brembo have for myvi... Rotor only... ---> Brembo rotor
*
ohh..quite ok mah..inclusive of brake pad, rotor and centre cone..if good and reliable..worth it rite?
brembo rotor for myvi got ar....LYN got alot also ar..

*
bro..then how much the caliper cost?
for brembo rite? does it improve the braking as well?

The 1 i mention 11" rotor, big caliper etc is the one being sold by nexxus warrior... That one iz chop shop item that he managed to source and then sell to the potential buyer... He sells it in a package Bro, all in... Just have few options to further customize it, thats upto u... I dunno the individual item price.. Maybe u can go n contact Nexxus for further inquiries...

If u compare with OEM, i think what ever rotor also will improves the myvi's braking performance
*
haha..correct also..i dont like the myvi stock braking system..not really reliable..thank you so much ya..
i will contact him and when i change..i will upload here... laugh.gif
