Maxis, sister company of Assteruk, using it's older sister tricks - "exclusivity" - to lock in channels. I can see where this is going. Still, TM already got Trace Sports, and Maxis Internet salesperson once told me most likely Maxis IPTV and TM IPTV will share channels once launched. So maybe some (if not all) of TM's channels will also go to Maxis IPTV and vice-versa?

I have switch off 2 times and waited more than one hour already, the problem is still there.

The clock is still normal and don't show 00:00.

My scheduled recording are all removed automatically after the 100 free channels and I cannot remove it manually.

So there is nothing to record and I cannot record.

I think this is to prevent people from recording the 100 free channels and distributing them. eg. Astro on demand, astro first etc.

So I need confirmation from other subscribers.

Well, I don't need it   Klang town is very strategic in that all the UHF transmitters (KL Tower and Genting Highlands) are in line of sight and one well positioned UHF antenna is enough to pick up from both where Analog and Digital is concerned. Just need a second VHF antenna pointed towards Sungai Besi for RTM1 and 2 and that covers all analog channels.

Yeah. Very fed up with FTA channels. They dropped too many shows mid-season and never bring in new seasons of shows I like that I'm very PO'ed by them already. Plus, very pissed off when I tuned into Lilo and Stitch the Series on TV2 one morning and found that they've translated it to Malay. I dun understand the practicality of that action

I am thinking of buying Blackmagic intensity to capture some some of my favorite HD program from Astro Byond to keep as my personal copy. Do you think Astro will block the HDMI signal input to Blackmagic to prevent copying of these byond channels

Are you sure about that? Because once I unplugged one of the cables, no signal received. I think for pvr decoder, 2 cable must be connected. otherwise the decoder cannot recieve the signal. correct me if i'm wrong.

this would be one huge drawback for pvr decoder. sigh

i understand that. but my question is if i just connect one cable, would i be able to watch without recording other show? just want to watch the tv. tq

Hi. i'm trying to inquire on how to update astro to the latest firmware/software?

before you go and say these --> "put your astro in standby-mode and then unlug your power and etc etc etc ...", that's not the answer i'm looking for becoz there's another alternative way to do that, simply by pressing the buttons.

reason is coz i was at my friend's house when as astro installer came and checked his astro, and i was surprised on the way he did the "software updates" just by pressing some buttons .. i know 1 of it is "standby" , but can't see the others.

so i'm trying to understand if there's anybody who knows of this method ? i'm trying to update my astro b.yond decoder.
