Every company come out with diff model and targeted diff set of market.
we cannot compare apple with orange like that.
The major diff between fua28e model and xiao mi model is the "air pollution indicator" and the "air flow".
No doubt the coverage area also bigger.
the air flow is important to "clean" the air quicker.
If we buy the air purifier put inside 10ft x 10 ft room then we might not need too expensive purifier.
The "air pollution indicator" is very important because if the indicator show it is green now, you might able to OFF the purifier to save energy.
Some model come with automatic function, so it will run top speed with the air is dirty, run slow when it is clean.
Some model also come with humidify function.
Some model target big area like living room and dining room, filter price, life-span of filter, warranty, haze mode, child lock, timer, noise db also take into consideration.

See below my simple comparison chart.

hi guys, do you know that you need to change the filter in the air purifier in 3-6months time? Otherwise it will loose it's effectiveness in removing the dust from the air. If you look at the maintenance cost in the next few years it will sums up to a good amount of money.

Would you like to have a better air purifier that is CERTIFIED not just AHAM?? It is also certified AAFA where it is used widely in clinics and hospitals? And it is almost maintenance free because there is no need to change filter regularly... this is a big plus smile.gif

You can vacuum the air purifier filter in opposite direction.
And don't ever use water to clean it, the filter will be very smelly and no longer efficient.

Just follow the manufacturing advise.

Thanks, I think they don't sell the matching prefilter (carbon) and hepa filter (don't seem them online).
Do you happen to know where those can be bought?

Robert is water drum filter air particulate purifier that users water as the particulate filtration media. Venta is the other equivalent competitor.

Maintenance cost is silver ion cube to sterilize water from becoming breeding pond for aerosol based pathogen. If air con is used and set very low, the water chamber needs refilling more often. Without aircond usage, the room humidity is raised slightly.

Additionally, you can use aromatic oil to "scentify" the room.

But these does nothing to remove or neutralize VOC, airborne pathogens. Anything that doesn't readily stay in the water won't. Cigarette smoke, pollen, brake soot, vehicle soot and haze particles somewhat or almost definitely. Use it on combination with AC that has air purifying function like nano-e, plasmacluster, negative ions and photo catalytic ( TiO2) filters or Corvan air purifying lamps or plants that purifies those other stuff.

If living right in heavy vehicular traffic zones, they do not affect NO2 as with most residential air purifiers. For that a very large surface area photocatalytic purifying filter is required or spider plants that helps reduce their concentration. See here for beneficial plants.

Have been reading up on the differences between air purifier and air ionizer, finally decided on Medklinn Asens Premium, since now they have promotion RM584 (original price RM899).

The new type medkinn is not powerfull anymore as the old type. My friend brought 1 after I recommend him. But he can't smell the ion. Take back to medklin. They tune back to max. They said some people don't like the smell. So they lower down the power.

My old type spoil after about 4yrs use. I didn't get back after this as the price in the high side.

They explained in the FAQ that the metallic smell cannot be used as indicator in the functionality of the device, rather to hear the "hissing" sound as indicator that it is functioning. This is my first time using Medklinn, so let's wait and see smile.gif

Super fast delivery, placed order yesterday and got my unit now. I can hear the hissing sound, and smell the faint metallic smell. Now it occurred to me, my office has a de-odorizer machine at the entrance and it has the same but stronger metallic smell, which I don't quite like. But the office unit is much bigger than Asens, so I hope the smell won't be overpowering.
