Oops my bad.noted.However I have no idea how to use Odin...never needed to when using htc...can u point me to the right direction?
Read somewhere using Odin can detect flash count...so sorry am a noob on these...

Odin 1.85 is a program used to flash roms on the galaxy series of phones. You can use it to flash a whole packaged rom ( with PDA, PHONE, CSC included ) - these are normally packaged in a single tar format file. Or you can use the program just to specifically flash the phone firmware ( PDA), or baseband modem ( PHONE) or even kernel.
You can download odin 1.85 for Windows at either forum XDA or just google for odin 1.85 - plenty of links on web to download
Chainfire has recently develop his Mobile Odin - just install his apk file and you can now use his mobile app to flash rom, kernel and modem. This is more convenient - no need to have phone attached to PC. You can read more about this tool at :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...=1347899&page=1And a piece of advise to newbies to flashing, don't worry about the flash counter. The samsung tech can detect that you have root your phone and flash your phone ( to other firmware or kernel ) even physically it shows a zero counter. So trying to hide the flash counter is only making yourself happy - it will not help you at all when you submit in your phone for warranty claims. If the Samnsung tech wish to void your warranty , he can always do it. But it is proven many times at the SGS, SGS II threads the tech seldom bother and close an eye to this rooting/flashing. I have submit in my tablet, phones to claim FOC services with it in rooted and in flash rom state - and each time I have no problem getting FOC services. I even managed to get free FOC service from Spore Service center for a rooted bricked SGS ( AP set bought in KL)

As I suspected, you cannot copy the contents of your memory card to another as the device does not recognise some of the contents of the new card after transfer. Even if you had moved some of your apps to the memory card, now it does not show in the new card.
Is there any software out there that can mirror copy the memory card? I am sure some of you will be upgrading soon and you probably wanna know this.
Are you talking about external memory card ? I NEVER have such problem as I always copy my stuffs from one card to another and I used these external SD cards interchangeably among all my androids inclusive tablets. Have been practicing this for the past 18 months since I started using Android. Never have any problem the phone/tablet unable to detect the contents. Only exception is some games data ( Gameloft example ) - you need to redownload it
If you have moved apps to external SD card - you need to reinstall the apps and then select to force move to external SD card again

Yes you can use CWM to flash a modem zip file. Make sure it remains as a zip file and not extracted
