Do you know Yee Loi San Cheong?

I think he means jiu yin zhen jing.

Can the "yee loi san cheong" or "jiu yin zhen jing" stop the pistol or gun? tongue.gif

In the movie, no matter how good kung fu the starring is, once the pistol or gun is pointed to them, they surrender. biggrin.gif

Just asking for opinion on fixed/time deposit. If you got 5K SGD to set aside, would you rather save it in Singapore bank time deposit with 0.2-0.5% interest, or convert them into RM then saved in fixed deposit with >3% interest rate?

RM higher interest rate, risk of currency depreciation. SGD vice versa. Let's exclude other investment options.
*
SGD also got risk for depreciation. I heard the rates has dropped to 2.41? I changed at 2.432 two weeks ago...

If it's the only 5K you have, put it in a SGD FD as you need to protect your capital in SGD... assuming your spending is in SGD. If your spending is in MYR, then bring it back home and put it into a MYR FD.

If it's one of the many 5Ks you have... buy exactly 2 lots of M1. Averaging 7% dividends at current price, blue chip and stands up well in a weak market as telcos are considered to be safe havens (as fars as safe havens in the stock market goes).

You are advising him to pick up stock gambling.... tongue.gif

Later he see good money there and keep investing and later become "goreng" and earn fast money...... biggrin.gif

WRONG! You will get molested more than in KL....the mrt are packed like sardines everyday (peak hour 8.00 - 9.00 am and 6.00 - 8.00 p.m.). Anyway you wouldn't know even if people molest you cos like i say everyone is shoving and moving around and will most definately brush against you whether accidentally or purposely.....
*
More terror in Japan, they can gang up and molest the girl in the train.... tongue.gif

Thanks for the reply, Tigerr. Can u tell more about the job like the working hours, job descriptions? How long have u been in this field?

BTW, how's the average salary for fresh graduate?
Thanks, wseng, how long have u working in this field?
*
Working in Marine line, some will have to work 24 hours round the clock (on shift or special task comes along). Many have to go off-shore and travelling most of the time.

I dont know the fresh graduate salary but it will be a very rewarding job after you have settled down and gain some experience. When you have more experience, it will become jobs looking for you (if you are good) instead of you looking for jobs.

There are many international companies that you can find your opportunities working with.

Guys,
Due to work exigencies I will be touching down Singapore on the 21st of jan from a long haul flight. To ensure I can still make it back with my family for reunion dinner, I purchased a bus ticket from Larkin. All the other alternatives have been exhausted.

Question is, my bus will depart on the 22nd at 9am. Given the high traffic volume, please advise the fastest route to reach Larkin from Singapore. Thanks
*
To avoid the jam and missing your reunion dinner, you may take SQ, MH or AK flight to KLIA and then take taxi go home. You never know the PLUS highway got any massive jam due to accident or not. tongue.gif
