Hmmm, wanna see opinions...

Is 1/100 better or 1/144 better? Of cos i'm not hardcore gunpla player atm, as just started... but hey... every opinion counts ^^

Advice please =P

if you want to get better details and lazy to paint, go for MG
or else go for HG if got limited space to display your kit

btw stay away from RG, it is totally not for newbie sweat.gif

If starter, go for 1/144 from HGUC/AW/FC lines, or 00 or GPB lines. Recent MGs are quite complex imo

I think i stick for HG and MG for now since RG have so many small parts and feel loose. Hope that it will improve more in the future.

it all depends on preference/s.

1/144:
+
if you're on budget
enjoys building something quickly
loves to play with the kit a bit more due to less part (less breakage)

1/100:
+
pricewise, just add a bit more, MG hardly will go over MYR 200 mark, unless the big ones/exclusives/extra coating
love inner frame, the details and complexity
looks good if displayed

and btw, it all up to you on what mobile suit you fancy. Sometimes, like GP02A case, the MG is from 1999, but the HG are of 2007, or something like that. My point is, the year of production also play a role here. Newer ones are ALWAYS better. But this is not the case for all.

Old MG like Dom/Rick-Dom can cost you at around MYR 130++ comparative to HGUC Dom/Rick-Dom which is less than MYR 100.
I'd went for MG, and never regretted.

This is totally biased unbiased, go for MG Zaku 2.0 or MG Dom tongue.gif

i would say go for MG unless u scare to screw up or wanna learn how to paint like me, then go HG.

as for which kit.....just buy whatever gundam model u like. but always refer to the reviews. some kits, even if u like it, have a lot of issues. so ur job is to be a smart buyer, and see if u r ok with those issues (also important when u assemble so tat u will know which section u need to b extra careful)

HG kit, color separation for some kits are poor. you must paint some part to make it nice. Otherwise whole part same color when it shouldnt, not that good looking

Go for MG. Its not harder to build MG compare HG, just that it takes longer.

i don't see how an RG can be more complex than the more recent MG (take zaku 2 for example)? the only point i see is the RG's part is smaller(more annoying than complex). parts and assembly wise, MGs(the recent ones) are always better than RGs.

actually, newer hg color separation quite good liao. like others, i'd recommend to go for a mg. out of box already looks very nice, and no need for much touch up.

like tiger said, newer kits are generally better, tho i think kits like mg rx-78 v2 and zaku v2 are very very good.

i'd stay away from ver ka-s tho for beginners. chances of breaking something is high

Yup agree with u on this. I buy d kits because of the fact that i like the design. Anyway, I never really like RX78-2 and Zaku 2 but some ppl said, u cant call urself a gunpla enthusiast if u dun have any of these laugh.gif So now, i have the MG Gundam OYW, Char's Zaku v2.0 and the RGs for ancestor gundam and monoeye tongue.gif
I've got more from Seed series than d rest, from HG to PG depending on design.

So, it depends on either d person wanna hav fun assembling or buy for the love of design laugh.gif
