QUOTE(theWeird_Weird @ Feb 4 2023, 09:09 PM) hi, may i know how to determine if i will need heater with pump for my home? Very unlikely. Water tank usually installed on roof, natural pressure from gravity. Simple way to check is whether your sink tap got good flow or not.its a condo on 22 floor. 40floor total theWeird_Weird liked this post

A noob/newbie/DIY question.
Developer provide rain shower + handle for washroom. Would like to install instant water heater (withour rain shower) and do not want to hack the wall or use tank water heater Question: how can i connect the instant water heater to default rain shower given by developer (using instant water heater without rain shower). Any sifu can guide? This post has been edited by ThengTurtle: Feb 9 2023, 10:43 PM |

QUOTE(Slevin Sent @ Jan 16 2023, 10:00 PM) I think that happens when you bought a pump unit when you don't need one.Like my house, ground floor had direct water which has much higher water pressure and when I installed the same water heater like the one in first floor (water from tank), it won't get hot enough unless you turn down the water flow due to the pump. |

QUOTE(ThengTurtle @ Feb 9 2023, 10:41 PM) A noob/newbie/DIY question. You should just be able to unscrew the head and connect the heater input pipe if you want super simple. My plumber did it a bit neater, he removed the rain shower head pipe sticking out of the wall so my water heater connects directly to the pipe hidden behind the wall.Developer provide rain shower + handle for washroom. My house just VPed recently and it comes with built in water heater by the developer (storage type)
After playing around with the distribution box, determined the 2 corner breakers (green colour) are for the water heaters. Is it correct and appropriate? What else I should check to ensure the water heater is installed correctly? ![]() This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Feb 27 2023, 11:07 PM |

QUOTE(lowyat101 @ Mar 7 2023, 12:34 PM) since i have installed a centralised water heater for my bathrooms, will be getting a water heater without pump. Usually warranty of a water heater will be voided if the water heater is used with shower accessories not provided by the same brand, with the reason that maybe it will cause complications to the expected output of the water heater. An example, if u buy a standalone rainshower from Shopee, those China made ones usually have much larger nozzles compared to the rainshower set that comes with the water heater, which will give u lower output temperature (large nozzles = larger water flow = lower contact time between input water and heating element = lower output temperature).for the rain shower, may i know if i shall get a package set like this one below? or just get a normal water heater and buy the rain shower separately? thanks So IMHO, better to get the complete set (water heater that comes with the rainshower). |

Ok noted with thanks on the warranty part.So IMHO, better to get the complete set (water heater that comes with the rainshower). About the temperature issue, actually I'm ok with a lower temperature since currently I seldom use the heater (without RS) above 50% of the heating power. But ya since the RS comes with the heater seems to be cheaper than a separate RS and also I hope that they have designed it to match the heater capacity, I think your idea of getting the complete set is better. |

is this water heater problem easy to DIY repair with basic skill(pump and heater light off, ELCB working)? or just purchase a new one? ![]() |
