QUOTE(Selene Yeo @ Mar 8 2023, 02:12 PM) Usually warranty of a water heater will be voided if the water heater is used with shower accessories not provided by the same brand, with the reason that maybe it will cause complications to the expected output of the water heater. An example, if u buy a standalone rainshower from Shopee, those China made ones usually have much larger nozzles compared to the rainshower set that comes with the water heater, which will give u lower output temperature (large nozzles = larger water flow = lower contact time between input water and heating element = lower output temperature). Ok noted with thanks on the warranty part.So IMHO, better to get the complete set (water heater that comes with the rainshower). About the temperature issue, actually I'm ok with a lower temperature since currently I seldom use the heater (without RS) above 50% of the heating power. But ya since the RS comes with the heater seems to be cheaper than a separate RS and also I hope that they have designed it to match the heater capacity, I think your idea of getting the complete set is better. |

QUOTE(Selene Yeo @ Mar 21 2023, 09:35 AM) U can just go on Shopee / Lazada to check the product reviews and ratings from previous buyers, and make an educated decision using those data. for 4.2kW, make sure you have 25A breaker for the incoming supply, don't use those 15A round pin plug and socket.By far I see that CENTON EcoSerene has the best ratings and reviews, this one. Price looks very economical as well, and its 4.2kW, so it'll generate hotter water compared to other brands (other brands r usually only 3.6kW to 3.8kW). |

wanna ask about the built-in safety device. i see some models is using those electrnic type (like EELS by Joven) where you press a button to reset. some is using those mechanical ELCB (panasonic and some Joven models) where you need to push up the level to reset.
would like to know, which technology is better in term of safety? since both are rated at 10mA. personally i would prefer the mechanical type as it's similar to those used in the main DB, but would like to hear if the electronic type is better now due to the recent tech etc. thanks |

QUOTE(MyProLife @ Nov 13 2023, 08:28 PM) Hi, today got technician uncle to install newly bought joven sc33. After installation push test elcb button but the reset level not tripping down. Should I call Joven tomorrow before I use it? ya i got the same problem. installed 2 units, 1 is ok another 1 got the same problem as yours. changed the front cover between the 2 units, still the same unit having this problem. but if i pressed the elcb without the cover, then it's working. so i think it's a design fault as the gap between the push button of the front cover and the elcb base it too far away. have you called them? i haven't move in yet so will only call after that. |
