Hi all x10 user. Like to ask how about video record? Still acceptable? If Sony nex-5n score 5/5 so how much x10 score? I like to buy this camera but my wife worry about the video record perform. Thank you so much.

The X10 works very well for video, I went to USS and did several 1080p videos. The autofocus is actually quite good and I liked that I could zoom in manually while capturing video.

*But* the Sony Nex5n is obviously better, with a larger sensor it can do 1080p60 which is perfect for action scenes or if you need the smooth high frame rate.

Go to youtube and check out the samples and decide yourself.

I suspect many camera shop make their profit from ripping off customers
by selling them junk filter (now even got glue on filter rclxub.gif ) These filters dont even have
their own website. It is like buying sunglass from pasar malam or petrol station. No point buying
x10 with high quality lens and cover them with junk filter. Even single coating
Hoya or B+W are not good enough. Invest in branded multicoated filter or
dont use filter at all. whistling.gif

imo, a small lens like x10 doesnt need filter.
unless ur extremely careless, chances of scratching the lens is very slim.
most ppl who put filters on just want to avoid fingerprints.

I am on the side which must have filter but a good one. The x10 lens is quite
exposed and sooner or later the nice hard and slippery aluminium lens cap will
hit the lens. With filter you dont have to be too careful and only need lenscap
for storage. And yes filter easier to clean than lens. smile.gif
