Guys I wanna install CheckRom 3.1.1 and it says it has "No Wipe" means I just flash it normally using Odin ticking Auto Reboot and Reset F. Time ?

Just want to ask. My galaxy s2 I9100G cannot turn on after I mistakenly root it with custom ROM dedicated for I9100. Send to samsung center in Melaka. People there say, they need to change the motherboard. But unfortunately they don't have the spare part(motherboard). Is it true motherboard for I9100G is nowhere available as of now? KL also they said don't have spare part. Already 3 weeks now...

Isnt checkrom installed via cwm?

Oh sorry then, my cwm ain't working and I don't know why... Maybe it's the kernel.

what kernel are you using now? can you go to cwm recovery mode?

no wipe means all user data are retained. but if you came from different rom than checkrom, better perform full wipe to ensure the checkrom is properly working.

i'm flashing from stock to checkrom.

They don't know la..I think can revive one using first post method.

what CPU govenors are you guys using on Siyah? found lulactive to be OK on performance yet not so good on battery.

Hey, I used to be able to change the transparency of the lock screen pin button. But I couldn't find the settings anymore. Was it taken away by Samsung on the new firmware or what?

you are using stock rom with siyah kernel is that it? interesting. you have rooted ur phone right? try flash with any CF kernel kh3 or ki4 for temporary and try move to recovery mode. if its ok, you can flash checkrom via cwm recovery with full wipe.

I migrated to CheckROM 2.0 recently. I installed back the Samsung apps. The application that shows how many apps are running in the background is missing. Where can I find the widget and install it back. The original Samsung application widget.

edit : oh and i underclocked my cpu to 1Ghz and minimum 100Mhz. i think that further saved lots of juice

yes on cwm it says i need cf v5 to make it work. lol
going to try it and i'll buy a sd card to do titanium backup and checkrom here i come !

U don need sd card to flash new rom
somehow the backup still retain even i did full wipe

btw guys, how to change the siyah profile actually? need additional install 3rd party apps?

my advice for 1st timer of flasing custom rom, additional sd card is a must for you to put all ur essential back up files such as efs, cwm back up file.

we never know what will happen during the flash process.

better late than sorry later.

but then again, its not mandatory to have additional sd card, if you can live with only 16Gb on board memory space to keep all your songs and videos..

P/S: use hktool to create back up for your efs file. this efs contain ur phone details such as imei # etc..
