Hi guys, I need some help.

Originally i was able to connect my S2 to my PC via KIES and it comes stock with 2.3.5 with firmware KI2 if i not mistaken.

then im not sure is it related, i performed firmware upgrade from the phone when I checked for updates and prompted me to upgrade. After the upgrade.. my phone is shoing 2.3.6 and firmware Gingerbread.DZKJ2.

Now i can't connect to KIES and even when i tried to USB Mass Storage mode also is not working. The windows keep on prompting me Found New Hardware for a list of detected unknown devices. I tried pointing the driver updates to the Samsung/USB driver folder but it won't find any matching.

now i have no way to access my SD card via my computer. Tried reinstallign kies, tried more than 3 PC all also fail..

any clue?

my phone is not rooted. and is the 9100G version.

Bro, exactly what happened to me. Below is what i did.
Hope it helps. Page #1 > Post #3 > Q21

Resolution

1. Unplug the USB cable

2. On the cell phone, dial the following number: *#7284# Once the last # is hit, the PhoneUtil application is launched. Choose USB -> Modem and then USB -> PDA mode. The good mode should be PDA. Even if the mode is PDA, switch to Modem and then back to PDA.

3. Plug the USB cable.

Note:

* Repair USB connection for any Samsung Android phone

if you rooted your phone.you can try out fallenout post on how to get it for your phone.i already download for my phone

Just use market enabler if your rooted and set it to some european country then download it

just download using unifi..super fast... ..but looks like cannot exit one..

It resolved now anyway. What is tried to do is i off my phone. Connect usb cable to my laptop for battery charging for a while. Unplug usb cable and on my phone. Its work perfectly. Thanks a lot for the advices.

i dunno..try to press back and setting button, cannot exit..so i just press menu button and exit ..later then explore again..now at office, cannot play game..
