Is that at overclocked GPU or stock ?
If all driver also exhibit the same behaviour, it could be hardware problem..

QUOTE(NightHeart @ Nov 12 2011, 03:01 PM) I bought my N45 for RM2.4k (after trading in my old laptop RM200 & the sub woofer RM100). I remember u have to copy few files to solve the problem.I've updated the Direct X, the Nvidia GC & the BIOS. But when I play RMVB videos, the whole movie is laggy, even the sound is laggy. Other formats are fine e.g. mkw & avi. Any idea how to resolve this? |

HDD at most eats 3W..
If you limit the CPU clocks, how? At least to simulate lower power consumption.. Unplugged the battery ? This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Nov 12 2011, 05:07 PM |

QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Nov 12 2011, 04:10 PM) Let me go test a while, Okay, blocking CyberLink RealMedia Splitter (PDVD10) partially helped. It reduces the lags significantly but the moment I jump to any part of the movie, the problem starts again. Is it every rmvb also the same ? Latest CCCP ? For the mean time, open Option in MPC, go to External Filter, Add Filter, find "CyberLink RealMedia Splitter (PDVD10)", then tick "block", restart MPC and try play the rmvb. QUOTE(Duckies @ Nov 12 2011, 04:44 PM) Alright, your method appeared to have solved the problem!! I did only the following steps & it has worked; 1) Download the Windows version of binary codec pack for MPlayer. http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html#binary_codec (filename = windows-essential-20071007.zip) 2) Extract only these files from the ZIP archive: cook.dll, pncrt.dll, sipr3260.dll, drv33260.dll, drv43260.dll 3) Put those files in the Windows system folder. That is C:\Windows\System32\ on a 32-bit version of Windows. That is C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ on a 64-bit version of Windows. Well, I'd like to thank lee_what & Duckies for your help! Now everything appears to be fine =) |

If other N45 users are facing the same problem, then yea....it'll be handy to share this solution on the first page. I appreciate all the efforts lee_what & Duckies made to solve this.

Just tried Modern Warfare 3.Lol the game is not run by default by the Nvidia card.I have to manually set it through the Nvidia control panel. After playing a while,I have to say I am quite disappointed on the graphics and gameplay.Battlefield 3 certainly excels in terms of graphic and it's Frost Bite Engine makes thing even more interesting. And we get to fly in a a jet and sky diving.
Modern Warfare 3 is good in terms of story line, dialogues, characters' personality, weapons and shooting style. But overall I dont like the graphics in Modern Warfare 3.It doesnt seem like a 2011 game.Although my settings r high-extra with 1600 x 900 resolutions,if u put Modern Warfare 1,2 and 3 side by side,u really cant differentiate them.I have to say I cant notice any graphical improvement over the previous 2 series. When I first run the game,I look at the game and I thought "Wat?Did I do the settings wrong? The graphics doesnt look like a 2011 game!". Battlefield 3 on the other hand really amazes me with their graphics and Frost Bite Engine. Compare them side by side http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEtN43bmP18 I am a COD fanboy but this time I gotta hand it to Battlefield 3 in terms of graphics and gameplay.Story lines and weapons collection goes to COD though.
