Wahhhhhh .. sounds like a "black shop" to me . Even if so ar .. it shouldn't be so expensive!! If you put ur doggy for boarding at petshop, it's kinda like RM 25 onwards for ONE DAY ler :stars. So far the most professional groomers I've heard of is "house of groomers" and they're charging like RM 80 only for full grooming. Sound to me like u got conned by that shop .

need 4 jabs pulak....

but thank goodness his 1st jab jus now no cry o...haha....

the vet says that it maybe have been brought home since i bought him back from its previous owner....becasue it is usually transmitted from outside the hse back into our hse or from a foreign dog to another de....but since i have not brought him out anywhere and don hv other dogs staying with me now, so he says mikey may have been infected from his previous owner lor....

skin mites are a kind of parasite that will cause the skin to itch and will coz some skin to bcom crusty and fall de...and if its serious it mayb also cause hair loss. Mikey case was okok la not too serious yet...althought got a lot of crusty skin fall edi...

The common name for that skin mite problem is Mange. Also known as Scabies.... you will need to continue with the jabs, wash all of your dog's blankets, towels, cage with diluted Bleach. Your dog would need sulfur shampoo bath to ease the itching.... can get McLee's sulfur shampoo or whatever you can find at petshop, the shampoo is not that expensive, less than RM20 normally. It helps stop the itching and promotes skin recovery too.

What your vet said is true, it comes from outside the house. Mange will never show up in clean houses.

The bloating can cause a dog to drink more water, which instead of drinking it the water enters the lungs which in the end can cause the dog to drown. Early detection helps and there will be heart drugs to be taken for the rest of the dog's life.

Normally a dog is still developing at the age of 2.... but it can be detected at 2 years old through listening to the heart and examination by the vet. If the sound of the heart beating is off or sounds weird, the vet would ask for an ultrasound.... early detection can prolong your dog's life.... but there is not cure for heart failure.... you can only delay the disease by letting your dog take medication for life.

My boxer's heart medication was RM300 a month....
