not quite sure.. so far, i only came across a few pet shop that got sell this brand.. most dont dare to sell cause too pricy.. not many people willing to buy. jtl's shop got, petsmore got, a shop in taipan got also..

i got a few questions regarding my shih tzu, my doggie is with me for 4 years, i wonder what is the average size/weight of a normal shih tzu can get at this age???

when i buy my shih tzu from the shop, they told me its a taiwanese type shih tzu, and thier body size are smaller compare to other type of shih tzu's??? i wonder if that is true?? or izzit a mini shih tzu?

another question, i wonder does you all shih tzu owners bring your shih tzu to the vets for yearly injection for health purpose????

can i know the weight of her right now? i always heard that taiwan shih tzu is smaller in size.. well, i wonder is it true or not..but i have a shih tzu that weights only 2kg..

Omipro. It that good for him? i heard some pets shop said if eat omipro the poo will not smelly, it that true?

erm..no mini shih tzu..crazymouse will tell u dat..
da breeder will use da smallest size in da litter 2 breed so dat it'll b small in size.
if its small..u hv 2 take more care of it lor, cos da immune system will b a lil weaker than normal shihtzus.

yearly jap can b heartguard or jus normal vaccination.
its meant 2 bring them 2 da vet yearly 4 da jap..
i bring jack 2 da vet every 2 months.
prevent anything from happening..

A standard shih tzu should weigh around 4kg to 8kg. If your shih tzu is withing that weight, should be fine. I had a shih tzu once, he maintained his matured frame of 6 kg till his death.... Shih tzus should never be over fed.

To know if your shih tzu is under weight or over weight, bath your shih tzu. Normally the fur is in the way of our judgment so when it is wet, you can see the body frame better.

If you can see the ribs very very clearly and the hip bones very prominent, means underweight. If you can see the rib bones but not to much and no prominent hip bones jutting out, means correct weight. If your shih tzu is round, cannot see rib bones or feel the rib bones easily, means over weight.

Some taiwan shih tzus are actually mixed breed with pekingese, so there is a majority of Taiwan shih tzus with no cert because there is a mixed breed back ground. This is why some would have a very flat nose or small frame. Also, it is now a trend to have smaller dogs so there is quite a large number of people who are breeding shih tzus the wrong way, which is breeding small sized with small sized, making the puppies small in size but a vet already said, this will cause the puppies to be dwarfs, and when old age, can get many health complications and lifespan also shorten.

You must bring for the yearly vaccination and get a full check up. It is routine. Even us humans, it is also a must for us to get a yearly check up but many of us don't really care..... for dogs, they cannot tell you they are sick or not, so a check up is a must to ensure it has a healthy body and also a healthy life.

There is no such thing as mini shih tzus if we look at standards and kennel associations.... the word mini is used to make people attracted and buy. Same with imperial or teacup.....no such thing listed in kennel books or dog shows.... this is all made up by breeders to get more customers to buy their dogs.

it depends on you. normally pet shop will tell you that, shit wont smelly, fur will shinier. but you have to see the result by your own eyes. i feed my pups with holistic dog food..

act 1week o 2nd week the shit really wont smelly ge but after that i found the shit still smelly back agin.
Erm...wat mean "holistic dog food"? Where can i get it?

my shih tzu is over weight i guess. he's 7kgs.

Why does shih tzu love to show it's teeth? . The teeth is scary.

my shih tzu loves to grin whenever got food only closes its mouth funny fella ;p

they are few brands in the market now.. you can look around in the internet i guess. i'm using innova evo and orijen.. but holistic dog food is a bit pricy..

Yups. This characteristic is seen in boxers, bulldogs, pekingese and other dogs.... but by right, when a dog closes its mouth, the teeth and tongue should never show.... if it shows, it is too undershot.
