got my first set of witty wings (f18a). dunno whether it is a qc issue or whether it is expected of witty wings models, but some of the attachments do not seem to fit in properly (too tight/too loose) rclxub.gif

the f18a sure has a lot of tiny bits, especially for its landing gear. although i could do away with the headache of attaching those tiny bits by displaying the model in flight mode, i much prefer displaying it in all its landing gear glory. but if i glue 'em bits, it would effectively mean that i won't have the luxury of flight mode in the future sweat.gif

any advice, sifus?

thanks for the advice. much appreciated notworthy.gif

yups! did the exact same thing for my witty models. since they're on display and i don't take them out often, those not too loose parts i just let them be. only glue those bits that gets detached by mere gravity pull.

Wat brand is tat brother? Ixxit 1/72 scale? I wanted to buy the J-20 but dunno which brand produce it...
*
err bro... i think he mentioned 1/100 at the beginning. only strikermac's gaincorp's su-47 berkut is 1:72...

j-20 very rare i suppose because not much information about the aircraft. i suppose only china companies carry them. found one on ebay J-20 but the quality looks so-so only.

the diecast shop at plaza idaman is adilniaga (see blu3hamm3r's earlier post). i just listed myhobbyhouse but between mhh and diecast empire, you're better off at diecast empire (myhobbyhouse caters more to civil aviators) icon_rolleyes.gif

wow u guys only buy expensive models?
i only buy cheap2 trumpeter and hobbyboss
*
liquidsny... is not only buy expensive model. most important aspect is that it's within your budget and you're happy. no point buying expensive stuff only to put yourself heavily in debt. some people just love building their own models while others it's because of budget constraints. whatever it is, this hobby caters for all from hobbyboss kits to century wings icon_rolleyes.gif

although I do understand that cheaper trumpeter has less part to build making it too easy. the more the parts the more fun building models
*
well, it depends. some people pay more attention to the detailing rather than the number of parts. i mean some even repaint complete models for real-life accuracy. admire you guys who have the patience and precision to build the models (and dioramas). i'm hopeless at that so gotto depend on diecasts for my military jet fix...

WingNut, same here. I have terrible skills and I find the plastic kit don't last long, the one I built more than 5 years ago is starting to "rapuh"
*
the man from down under has surfaced rclxms.gif

terrible skills is still better than no skills. i once used an oil-based spray paint and you can guess what that did to my plastic model! macam kena napalm.

anyway, that said, even diecasts come with some plastic parts... although generally the quality is better than hobby kits.
