really.. this should be good.... let see if my local magazine store have them in stock... which i really doubt it... sad.gif

anyway thanks for the info smile.gif
and what is the frequency of their publication?weekly?

Kitech Brand is not very expensive..
Kiteh and Zhengdefu hmm.. let seee... i saw in The Store, they have Kitech 1:72 scale model kits selling for around RM25.. yesterday i was there, i saw they still have quite a few number of those kits... what i saw they have is hmmm... F14A, F14D, FA18, F22 Raptor, a couple of Helicopter... RA Comanche, Eurocopter Tiger, Apache, Cobra, And a couple of Tank from the World of tank series. ahh an also an aricraft Carrier Kitty Hawk.
and they have those in stock now thumbup.gif

as for the Zhengdefu... i bought them last time for RM29.90 for the 1:48 scale.. now rarely see those brand anymore.... sad.gif

i think Trumpeter is definetely better then these two.. smile.gif

ok.. this is my new acquisition of the airliner (commercial plane)

its very small.. i think scale 1:144.

i bought it for RM7.90... and its a British Airways Boeng 747 (i think)
and all the decal are painted on the model... and its a die cast model.. smile.gif

i think i saw there's a couple more model... hmm an Airbus and a Learjet.. smile.gif

i'm not really into Commercial Airliner.. so i bought this one just to show you guys,... smile.gif

Specification
Scale: 1/144
Built: Die-Cast Metal
Model: British Airways
Brand: Majorette
Price: RM7.90

enjoy..

QUOTE(Tony C @ Nov 12 2005, 11:47 AM)
dear kuman,

my deepest sympathy for you. if you think that's a 1/144, you're conned. if you think that looks like a bloody BA 744, again you're conned. if you think an RM7.90 die-cast model can do you any good for collecting it, once again you're conned. and finally, if you think BA really has such a livery, you're really conned! it looks more like a kid's toy to me...sorry, but your model is not even close to being real.

*
smile.gif
no problem... no.. its not i've been conned.. i only bought it to show what they sell here.. and i'm not a commercial aircraft collector.. smile.gif about the scale.. i'm guessing only... since its just too small....

QUOTE(Jackygwh @ Nov 12 2005, 12:54 PM)
@Tony C
Yea its from Dragon Wings wink.gif but canot compare mine with kuman one la cause the price also diff the one i post each cost RM 400 tongue.gif

I dun think Kuman was conned la, if tat plane he bought cost RM 400 THEN he was really Conned haha but it jus worth RM 7.90 so we also can guess hows the quality of RM 7.90 model la smile.gif no hard feelings k we all are aircrafe model lovers so be nice to each other biggrin.gif and i think u are good..... u know alot detail of aircraft model biggrin.gif welcome join us

*
yup.. we need more aircrft enthutiast in here ... do join us.. smile.gif

QUOTE(Tony C @ Nov 12 2005, 01:42 PM)
ok, not conned, but seriously, kuman, it has the features of a 744, but it's not how a real 744 looks like. i'm just giving you real advice from the perspective of an aviation enthusiast. no pun intended.

i'm a beginner with aircraft models, but i'm getting there, only very slowly - plenty of work at the moment. i'm more of an aviation enthusiast...

*
none taken.. smile.gif
like i said.. i'm just guessing the model type since no specific ino was given on the RM 7.90 model.. smile.gif

yup.. modelling can be an expensive hobby.. so slowly but steadily is the way to go.. smile.gif

this morning suppose the be the time when the A380 will make a couple of pass over KLIA area (low flying) before depart to Tolouse, France (IIRC) smile.gif

so anyone going to be in the vicinity to take some shot to share with us.. smile.gif

i wonder if the A380 will make another visit during the LIMA05 this year?

--------------------------------------------------

on the other note.....

i found this website from our local modeller who is specializing in modelling model of our RMAF (Royal Malaysia Air Force) aircraft...

also they have a link to an interim site for Malaysia Plastics Scale Modeller.. do give them a visit... these are the guys who always submit their work to the Aircraft Resource Center modellers especially on the 31 August every year thumbup.gif

Wira Angkasa - RMAF Modellers

the Tiger attack helicopter is gonna be at LIMA...
AND I CANT GO COS SOME FVCKIN B1TCH AT MY WORKPLACE HAS APPLIED LEAVE SO I CANT.

ok back to normal mode...uhhh there will also be the fly-bys by the TUDM Mig29s.

but still, the tiger sad.gif
*
hmm the Tiger.. is it the one from Europe of SOuth Africe.. i confused already.. :confuse:

i thought they always have fly-bys by the MIG-29 in the previous edition of LIMA..

so you went to all the previous LIMA everdying? do they sell aircraft model there?

you still can go but you'll have to make a day trip and maybe sleep by the ocean in tent laa...

last couple of year a couple of my friend did just that... since the event is on Saturday & Sunday so just go there on Saturday morning... tour all the sites and sleep on the beach with some camping gear they bring along.... but dunno if they allow that now..

also i heard in the news today that the goverment going to have a talk with the ferry company to extend their service hours during the week of the event so that many ppl can make a day trip to Langkawi and back on the same day...

i'm thinking of making a day trip there myself via Penang port.... see how it turn out and see if the wife willing to follow or not smile.gif

welcome back.. :0

as for LIMA this year... i dunno for sure.. but hopefully to see the Sukhoi SU30MK since TUDM already have a plan to purchase some of this bad-boys for our usage.. smile.gif

and only if we can purchase those aircraft model that they have on display at the manufacturer's booth (that really BIG and details model) then i would be in heaven... imagine displaying those in your living room.. smile.gif

as for model kits... so no-one ever been to LIMA can confirm with us if they sell aircraft model over there during this event?

thanks

just found this forum...remind me how enjoy when fixing the modelling few year past..i'm the hot fans on TAMIYA and all other brand modelling kit also, still got 20..maybe 30 boxes still not fix yet, from tank, plane, motocycle, figure and ship...ahhhh..miss it but alway no time to fix.
*
welcome to this subforum... smile.gif

enjoy your stay.. smile.gif

Do you still into modelling? its understandable to have tons of kits but only 24hours a day to do a lot of things.. smile.gif

i think most of the modeller have the habit of buying but limited time to actually finish it.. (i'm one of them) smile.gif

still stuck in building my F22-Raptor.... thanks to kelvw built-up guide i can really finish my build...(although its not going to be as great as his model) smile.gif

with regards to magazine
i guess with each issue they have a detail cutaway & history of the featured aircraft? unsure.gif
maybe someone can actually scan a page and show it to us.. like a "pepatah" said - " Sharing Is Caring" smile.gif

i'm a big fan of aircraft cutaways.... but just cant shell-out a couple of hundred RM to get a decent wall-mounted-framed-full-color cutaways to adorn my room wall... for now i settled with a black n white printed-cutaways.. sad.gif

anyway...

enough of my rant... ")

can anybody tell me the proper way to stick the sticker ??
i scared make spoilt the sticker and the model will go to waste!!
thanks ya

welcome to your new hobby.. smile.gif

what plane is it?
have you completed the assembly and painting?

i read somewhere that we first must soak the decals in water before sliding it into place on the model...

i might be wrong...

Tamiya prodeuct are very expensive becos Toycity stop importing Tamiya product due to some dispute betewwn the them

hmmm.. i think if bought locally yes.. but if you get from online (HLJ) for example it would be a bit cheaper... for comparison..

Navy F4 Phantom II from Tamiya = RM30 ( Yen900 x 0.0329)

i'm planning to get that one together with some other stuff.. smile.gif

sadly they're not center spread so you cant really frame them unless you scan it real good and print it out 10R size.

i ordered 2 Macross model...
1/72 VF-0S Macross Zero
and
1/72 Macross Plus YF-19
well.. that was about all the purchase for this year. smile.gif

dunno if i'm able to produce the end result as what they show on their site... but i'm gonna give it a try.. smile.gif
and somehow the YF-19 reminded me of that FA-37 Talon from the movie "Stealth" (not the EDI plane)
been trying to find the closest imitation to that plane.. hopefully this will do justice..

now in the middle process already.. smile.gif thing left need fixing is just the tail (which i'm going to wait until painting) and the missile...

i'm going to build an in-flight model since its very hard and impossible to fix the landing gear on this cheap kits... smile.gif

we'll have to wait for the painting job... smile.gif

GAMECON is on this Saturday 3rd-4th Dec at the Midvalley MIVEC. Wilayah & Selangor Modeling club will be having modelbuilding sessions for beginners and airbrushing armour workshops. More details here ... (not sure if the forum is working or not as it's been having some probs lately)

http://s12.invisionfree.com/ScaleModelsMalaysia/
Seemed quite difficult to find Future Floor wax already at ACE Hardware since most modellers already gasak a few bottles at one go hence the price increased and it's availability. I've not seen Johnson FloorWax here locally but only Future. You could still achieve the same tasks with Tamiya/Gunze's clear but of course much cheaper with future. But if u're dipping canopies it's better with Future.

HTH
*
GAMECONN... drool.gif really wish i can go ... but KL is just too far for me.. smile.gif
have a good time there Kelvw... post pics for us.. smile.gif

as for FUTURE..
they sell it as "future" label as well? cooll.. now i can try hunt for it in Makro or Tesco here.. smile.gif
and the important ingredients must be "arcyclic" right???

so you must have stock them up also, right? smile.gif

as for canopies, just dip it straight away? no need to dilute it etc?
