I can confirm that this No Service bug is not caused by jailbreak nor semi-tethered.
Because the first two times where I faced this problem my iPhone was not jailbroken.
And from my experience, after restore your phone will work flawlessly, but only for a few days before it comes back.

Yes, i tried installing semi-tethered again and it worked....probably i got unlucky the first time...so i tot the semi tet was the problem.

That is referring to WiFi connectivity problem...
What mentioned in this thread is the phone signal problem... which I sees it more serious one shakehead.gif

hi all, as I see that everyone has the issues of whereby the network cellular dropping to NO service or searching issues and my iphone 4 had the exact same problem. I have tried several options like restart the phone or reset the network settings, all of the steps does not work.

I have found one temporarily solution is that if really all the above mentioned steps does not work, try this method as below. Before doing the below steps, PLEASE MAKE SURE SYNC UR IPHONE to ITUNES 1st to backup before doing the below steps as I'm not held responsible for any data/apps/contact or etc missing after doing the below steps. After then you finish resetting it to default, your main screen wallpaper is back to apple default wallpaper and is like setup a new phone again and the nice things is that ALL your apps,contact,songs will still be intact.
Try it and it works for me as temporarily solution while waiting for Apple to release new firmware.

Go to Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings

P/S: Make sure select RESET ALL SETTINGS thumbup.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

AND NOT ERASE ALL CONTENT AND SETTINGS doh.gif vmad.gif

It's weird when I'm not facing any of the issue. Other than signal loss when holding the phone using my left hand...

The "reset all settings" only work once, i noticed. The second time does not work, restarting doesn't fix the problem either. Have to resort to full restore now.

5.1 beta is out. If the full 5.1 doesn't solve this shit, i am gonna trade this shit phone off for a droid.
