I had upgraded my iphone4 firmware to iOS5.. After i do so, I noticed that my iphone went into NO SERVICE (i.e. no network coverage) mode frequently!! Fyi, i never jailbreak my iphone b4...

Anyone experiencing the same problem? I am a hotlink user.. Whenever i encounter this issue, others' hotlink coverage is working fine..sad.gif

Oh shit I'm having the same problem too. I thought it was Digi problem. Mine is not JB running on iOS 5. Digi set and I'm not using any number or case.

If it's iPhone 4 it might be death grip. You can test it to make sure smile.gif btw if that's the problem then get a case it'll help.

But it will not switch carrier or network if you are roaming from 3g to 2g/edge areas. I would say its a temporal solution.

I have been experiencing the same thing.
Using iPhone4 with iOS5, never JB before.

Keep on searching for network.
When finally found network, I couldn't send SMS, sms keep in "sending" mode.
I couldn't make call, when press Call icon, phone will hang at dialling mode.

freaking frustrated.
Any help?

I also have this 'No Service' issues after upgrading to iOs5. My place No Service sometimes kena, but with iOs5 cannot recover from it. Now I need to do the flight mode thing if it happens. Sometimes OK, sometimes not.

I will try your method.

Thanks

My workplace got restricted areas that are designed to block phone signals, so 'No service' is normal for me...but what is not normal is ios5 doesn't search back for the telco signals after the 'No service'.

Yes...so far tried this morning...its OK...I mean 'No service' still happens, but can recorver from it...no need to go through the flimsy process of toggle around with stuff.

I wonder why need to set it to 'Manual' at achieve this.
