@bladekiller

The FireStorm Ignition Coil Booster can be fitted in all petrol engine vehicles including motorbikes.

Upgrade the power of your Ignition Coil with this add-on device and feel an immediate power improvement during acceleration.

The stronger spark promotes complete combustion of the air-fuel mixture resulting in extra power squeezed out from the same amount of fuel burnt. Unburnt petrol smell is also eliminated, even on vehicles without a catalytic converter.

Saves fuel with lesser kickdowns and gear changes which cause higher engine RPM and wastes more fuel. Automatic transmission gear shifting is faster and smoother due to the power increase thoughout the entire RPM band.

Shifting quicker into higher gears results in lower RPM, which in turn, saves more fuel. Climbs hills with lesser effort on the accelerator pedal.

Works on all vehicles which run on petrol. The FireStorm Ignition Coil Booster can be fitted in both automobiles and motorbikes.

Easily plugs into the distributor fuse socket without the need to cut any wires or cable harness for almost all cars.

Email peterlm65@gmail.com for more info or call 0164894940. Located on Penang Island, West Malaysia.

Shiiping to international location available. For single or bulk purchase, please feel free to enquire.

LIFETIME 1-to-1 EXCHANGE WARRANTY after device is sent back and tested failed.

Nope, the device has been manufactured to work within specs of the ignition coil.

This product has been tested in the market for the past 1.5 years in Local Proton, Perodua etc cars as well as Continental cars and Japanese cars and no complaints from the owners as yet! Hehe.

@dinwaja

Just to add on that although the spark voltage is higher, yet the current goes down. This device has been designed as such so that it will not cause any damage to elctrical components of the vehicle.

@dinwaja

If it is due to electrical failure, it will be replaced on a 1 to 1 basis. The product has been tested in Continental, Japanese and Locally manufactured cars for the past 1.5 years without any problems.

@Rocco&Buttman

No, if the spark plugs are in good condition, there will be minimal wear and tear. However, if the plugs have been "washed" before by using metal brush or sanding belts, then wear and tear may be accelerated as the outer layers have been removed and ruts and scratches will have been made into the plug electrodes during "washing".

Spark plugs are generally used more than a year stretching to a few years if the carbon deposits do not short out the electrodes.

With the healthier sparks, you do not have to use Platinum plugs which cost a bomb! Instead use the cheap and good standard Copper plugs that are recommended for your vehicle make. Lasts longer and costs much cheaper to replace.

Easily plugs into the fuse socket in the fuse box. You can even plug it in yourself!

We'll tell you which fuse socket to plug it into when you purchase the FireStorm. This will be at different fuse locations for different car makes.

Its a simple device that works as shown in the pasted Youtube video on page 1 of this post. There isnt any dyno data etc.

Incidentally some of the other similar "branded" devices may have dyno data etc that refers to their test car and is not a fixed gain when installed in your own car.

The best spec and dyno is when you personally test this device in your own car and feel the difference.

This is speaking in layman's terms but in my personal opinion is the best.

A product is good if it works for the individual testing it. Everyone has their own expectation on the improvements and gains after installing an aftermarket device.

Cheers.

Yes, any brand or model spark plug can use. Using the normal Copper tipped spark plugs are cheaper though.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Hehe.

But serioiusly, those who have tested this device will know that it works and is not another fake product. The postings I have made and the claims are true, not lies.

Why would anyone pay money for a product that does not work? If you dont feel the improvement in power from the moment the device is installed, then you wont feel it in 10 years! If you do feel the power improvement then you will be able to see some fuel savings.

However, some people may tend to be overjoyed at the new found extra power to their engine and go a little heavy footed. That's when you dont save fuel. However, after you have gotten over this new joy and get back to your normal driving style, that is when you start to see the fuel savings.

I have seen some products claim that their product has to be used for 2-3 weeks before they would be able to feel the extra power! These are obviously false claims. And the reason given is because the carbon deposits are cleaned out etc.

One thing for sure is that if you pump RON97 fuel, you'll feel a slightly smoother acceleration while pumping Shell V-Power will really kick a*s. The reason is due to the fact that lower RON fuel prematurely ignites on the compression stroke and robs the engine of the full power from the combustion, while higher RON fuel is slower to ignite and does so only when the spark plugs ignite the air-fuel mixture. Get a can of Octane Booster from any manufacturer and you'll feel the difference.

The million dollar question is: how long can you afford to pay for fuel additives, octane boosters, RON97 fuel or even V-Power? You would have to pay more everytime you pump fuel into your tank.

But with this FireStorm Ignition Coil Booster installed, you pay only once and can use the cheaper RON95 fuel with even better performance.

The best deal is that this FireStorm Ignition Coil Booster can be used in any car, so if you decide to sell your car, just pull the device out from the fuse socket and replace the fuse with the designated rating. Then plug this device into your new car and off you go.

Some worry that this device may void their new car's warranty. Well, in that case, just pull out this device and plug in the original fuse before sending your new car for its scheduled maintenance service and only plug it back in after you return from the servicing trip.

This is the easiest yet affordable and value for money device that I have ever dealt in by far.

Cheers.

Fuel savings can be seen once you ease your foot off the accelerator pedal due to the increased power from the combustion of the air-fuel mixture and especially from the lighter throttle response when going uphill. Flat road driving and stop-start traffic congestion situations will also be very much improved.

I am happy to share what I know and learn from what I dont, especially where some of you may have many other little devices already installed in your car to boost the performance. We can do a comparison test against some of the Japan/Taiwan/China/USA products that you may have already installed in your car.

The FireStorm is a product that works in all petrol engines. Its ease of installation and universal installation acceptance makes it a value for money product. You can remove this device and install in any other car if you decide to sell your old car. You can do the installation and removal yourself, hence saving money instead of paying a mechanic or accessory shop to install/re-install.

So please make your appointment ahead based on the day and time that I have listed in my previous posting so that you do not have to wait too long in line while I install and explain to the other car owners.

Just cod with the seller this afternoon together with another guy driving a Merc 190E, and both of us are really satisfied with the product. It really give more power and torque that you can really feel the engine is much smoother, fuel save wise still need some time so i can tell how much it help me to save.

Btw Peter, thx alot for the tea and all the suggestion, I really learn alot from you today. Most importantly is bringing this nice product for us. notworthy.gif

@IEIE

Thank you so much for the review. I am very happy that you find this product helps in increasing your engine's pulling power. Once you get the heat shield for your intake done, you will feel the pull even more, especially in start-stop conditions under the hot mid-day and afternoon sun. I'm looking forward to hear of your experience once you have done this.

I am always happy to meet up to discuss, share my simple knowledge with others and learn about what others have done to their ride. Comparison between one product and another helps us to learn about other people's products.

When you butt-dyno your car on any product, you have to know and also be very observant about your original engine's performance before and after fitting the product.

I always say that there are 2 categories of drivers who will not be able to feel the difference of a simple working product; one is those who are expecting a huge increase in % of hp, torque, fuel savings etc and the other is one who does not monitor their car's performance hence they would not know the difference even after installing the product.

But if you were to plug in an aftermarket turbo or supercharger system, then you can be assured of performance gains in % as the gains can be seen in a dyno run. But is your engine able to have this fitted and is it worth the thousands of RM to fit it? Or are you looking for a better feel of acceleration and fuel savings without burning a hole in your wallet? Everyone has their own criteria for fitting an aftermarket product.

In over 15 years of looking for truly working devices to increase the torque and fuel savings for my cars (yes, I have 5 cars... a 1974 Land Rover 88 SWB Series III 2286cc, a 1985 Daihatsu Rocky 2000cc, an 2001 SLK (Small Little Kancil 660M - hahaha!), a 1999 Proton Iswara 1296cc and my latest New Old Car; a 1999 Honda CR-V 2000cc and my just sold off Proton Wira 1.5M Siemens VDO EMS400 model; which makes 6 cars after all. All are fuel guzzlers, so you see my need to have real working devices to increase the engine's torque and reduce the fuel consumption.

I use the products that I sell and I am very confident that they do function as advertised, otherwise I would not recommed the product to you and risk being called a conman.

So, once again, its been great meeting up with those of you who came for the product testing over the weekend and I am even more happy that the FireStorm Ignition Coil Booster met your needs and requirements for those who purchased the product.

I got home to Penang at 5pm today, just missing the after work traffic congestion on the Penang Bridge that had started to build up. Hehe.

Oh, by the way, my mileage averaged 10km/litre over my drive from Penang to KL on North South Highway with about 50km of running in town in Damansara Jaya, SS2, 1Utama and Ikea over 2 days. I am very pleased with this mileage as I only get about 8.8km/l in town use in Penang. I'd probably clock higher mileage if I had refilled when I cleared the Damansara Toll on Saturday afternoon.

Don't worry, there are no silly questions because everyone's understanding and knowledge is different. Even the Professors in Universities do not know everything. They still have to do research and learn to keep ahead.

1) Yes, this FireStorm Booster is fitted into the fuse socket in the fusebox which supplies the power to the Ignition Coil so only 1 unit is fitted in a car. Saves money, unlike conman products that requires you to buy many units for 1 car.

2) No, this device will not shorten the life of the spark plugs or the ignition coil. This device had been R&D for 2 years before it was sold and had been in the local market for the past 1.5 years totalling about 3.5 years in the making. It had been on a low profile as it was sold locally to test out the reliability on different models of Japanese, Continental and local made cars.

3) Once you decide to purrchase the FireStorm Booster, I will ask for your car model and give you instructions in which fuse socket to fit the device. As easy as pulling out the fuse and plugging this device in.

4) There is a polarity since the incoming + goes to the RED wire and the outgoing + goes to the Ignition Coil. If you put it the wrong way, the engine will not start.

5) I already fitted the FireStorm to an Estima 2.4L year 2006 on Saturday in KL. Yes, I will give you the instructions on where to fit this device. Goes into the fusebox in the engine compartment next to the car battery.

Please check your PM.

Cheers.

Yes, NGV and hybrid engines also can gain from this device since the engine uses petrol to start the engine then automatically switches to NGV. As long there is combustion by the spark plugs then this FireStorm Booster will work.

Cheers.

Yes, very easy to install in all cars. You can install it yourself. I will provide information on where to fix the FireStorm Booster to the fuse socket in the fusebox.

Hello there Peter. icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm the guy driving Merc 190E. Did COD together with IEIE at Taman Mayang during the rain last week Sunday.

I'm reporting after using for 1 week.

1. Upon installation, idling straightaway become very stable. Before installation can feel engine vibration even from inside cabin.
This is because I haven't change my engine mounting when it broke since 2 years ago. wub.gif After Firestorm no more vibration. thumbup.gif
I can now delay changing engine mounting even further. icon_idea.gif

2. Throttle respond improved a lot. No need to press accelerator pedal much.

3. No need to downshift so much. I'm driving a manual transmission by the way. Everyday, driving home from work, I will have to pass this steep incline which needed me to downshift to 2nd gear or if I force to climb using 3rd gear, the engine will pink (knock like crazy). I'm on RON 95 by the way and my distributor ignition timing is set to a little bit advanced so that I would not loose pick-up. With this setting, I need to be careful with my throttle input and the gear I choose if not engine knocking will occur.
But after installing Firestorm, I no longer need to downshift to 2nd gear on the same steep incline. I can now use 3rd gear happily without the engine giving knocking or pinking sound..... rclxm9.gif

4. Now for the best part. FC has improved quite a bit. Before, I'm getting a constant 8.5km/l. I'm a sensible driver and my driving is very consistent and my route is the same with the same kind of traffic. Therefore I always get between 8.3km/l to 8.6km/l town driving.
After installing Firestorm...guess what? My FC is now averaging at 9.6km/l. Same route. same driving style albeit slightly heavy on the throttle due to better engine torque and throttle respond (can't resist that). That's more than 10% in fuel saving. rclxm9.gif

Overall this is a great product. After installing, from the power gain I get, I did expect to get a bit of FC reduction , but my expectation was not more than 5% but end up with more than 10% is a huge improvement and I consider it a bonus that will pay itself in my case in 8 months time due to the saving in FC it gave me..

Thanks Peter for introducing this wonderful product....I am very a very satisfied consumer.

Money well spent I must say....... thumbup.gif

Thank you so much for the review. I remember you said you weren't a member of this Forum, so you signed up just to give this review. Thank you so much. I know this will help others to have more confidence in this product and to help them save as much or even more than it had helped you.

I'm so glad that you're getting the benefits from this device. And yes, most drivers will tekan a bit more because of the new found power and smoother acceleration. Dont worry, I think after a few weeks, your right foot will be a little lighter after you have got over this new joy. Even if not then you still have better acceleration and fuel savings than before so tekan a little more and you still wont burn as much fuel as before. Hehe.

By the way, please put a better insulation over the nut and bolt joint for the supply to the ignition coil. Don't want it to touch any part of the car chassis. Maybe get a bicycle or bike inner tube and wrap over the joint then cable tie both ends of the tube. This will be the safest.

I wonder if you had ever tried RON97 petrol before using the FireStorm to see if the pinging sound went away? In any case since the FireStorm has solved the pinging issue, you dont even need to worry about RON97 and save RM0.90 per litre. Hehe.

Call me up if ever you're in Penang else we'll meet up in my next trip to KL in March next year during the school holidays.

Cheers.

Hi Peter, Sani here....Yup, I purposely register just to give my feedback on this wonderful product for the benefit of others.
You can say I am doing community work here ....hehehe biggrin.gif

Jokes aside, seriously, this is truly a great device, and I want to share my the gains and improvement I just experience this past 1 week.
Because in the market out there, there are too many products that promise this and that but in actual does nothing.
I am in the same boat as you, been looking for good product that actually work. And believe me there are products out there that really work, but we have to be smart in choosing them. One way to do that is by reading other people's review and testimonial. nod.gif

So, by relating my experience here I believe I am helping others who may be sceptical about this product to help them decide and in the end save their hard earn money. sweat.gif

When we met that day, I can tell that your main interest is not about making money from selling the product but I can tell you actually want to share this product and help people save in the long term. May God bless you bro for your kind intention.

And yes, I have already redo the nut and bolt at the ignition coil joint. Thanks for your concern.
On my next spark pug change, maybe I will try to re-gap the electrode to 1.2mm from current standard 0.8mm. Hopefully engine will be more stable.

About RON97.....Hahaha...I wont even bother wasting my money on RON97. I believe with the gains that I get, maybe even RON92 would be sufficient.

Definately will give you a call whenever I'm in Penang maybe we can go yamcha....

Good luck in your sales bro and thank you again for introducing this great product...

Thanks so much for your kind support, Sani.

Sorry to keep you waiting so long that day else could go for a cuppa. Please do call me if you're in Penang. I want to know how much fuel savings you can get from KL-Pg.

Thank you for your kind regards. Enjoy your ride! Hehe.

Should be all the better since there are 4 ground electrodes and whichever electrode is closer to the centre electrode, will allow the spark to jump first.

Any spark plugs can be used. In fact the standard copper is the cheapest but many are using the Denso Iridium spark plugs. My past personal experience with NGK Platinum was very bad and it shorted in about 6 months of use. Cost me RM120 back then about 6 years ago.

I also have this FireStorm Booster for Motorbikes. It is fitted between the spark plug cable and spark plug cap.

It can be used for all 2-stroke and 4-stroke bikes.

The added torque can be felt immediately upon acceleration up till the RPM hits the red line.

Fuel savings can be seen, even more for long distance rides.

Well, it has been butt-dynoed! Hahaha.

But seriously, this device is meant to boost the acceleration which co-relates to torque and better fuel savings. More torque equals better pulling power equals fuel savings, unless the driver's foot gets heavier after feeling the joy of having better accelerating power.

A dyno run might be able to show the increase but a dyno figure is only to show that there are gains for that specific car it was installed in. The dyno figures cannot be used as a standard measure for all cars.

Most "power enhancing" gadgets claim % of hp/torque increase by just fitting a breathing device to the engine or by grounding the battery to the earthing points in the car chassis. This is not true, but it is up to the buyer to believe or otherwise.

The marketing of this FireStorm Booster is simple. Buy it if it works. If you dont feel any difference in the accelerating power then dont buy it. This is for the customer's protection. With other products, you cant return them as it has been considered used. This was the reason I made a free test trial for the LYN Forummers in KL last week.

Those who turned up and tested the Firestorm Booster bought it right off, but of course there were a couple of whom felt that the increase in power wasnt sufficient or had not met their expectations.

Installed on my car. noticeable lower engine note, smoother acceleration, hopefully better fuel economy as well (still monitoring). Thumb up for the great product, but wondering how it works. Do you mind explaining the theory behind the product?

Good to hear you've received the FireStorm Booster. I didnt have time to follow up on the arrival of the package to you and the others today as I was so busy replying to emails and answering their questions in between the free time that I had. In fact I rushed to the Poslaju office at 5pm to send out the orders for today and just got back 30 minutes ago.

Thanks for sharing your initial experience and the response after fitting the FireStorm Booster. The lower engine note means that you are not stepping so hard on the accelerator but still getting the response that you want. Another reason is that the engine is more responsive now after fitting the FireStorm Booster that the engine does not have to strain itself compared to before.

Okay, here's the answer that many are wanting to know. Many argue that in basic electronics, more voltage equal more current. I agree on this principle.

Haltech HPI, MSD and other types of high voltage igniters work on that principle of pumping higher voltages (as high as 16V-18V, but most coils can take a maximum of 22V only) into the primary windings of the ignition coil to get higher voltage output from the secondary coil to the spark plugs. This manner of voltage boosting also boosts much higher currents and will eventually kill something more than just the ignition coils.

The FireStorm Booster does not work in this manner. It works by way of resonance and if you look at the principle of PWM where the increase in the efficiency of the voltage frequency lowers the amount of current consumed yet increases the output voltage of the ignition coil.

Cheers.

Hi bro, I can see on top of the FireStorm, there is also a fuse. I've already have Pivot Raizin S (red). If you can, can you try fit in the Pivot on the top of the FireStorm to see the effect. If can, record the video also. Would like to see the result.

Yes, my principal has tested the Pivot Spark S before in his test jig but there was no increase in the spark output ata all. The Spark S is just a voltage stabilizer which comprises a bank of capacitors and some transistors which is meant to smooth out any voltage ripples and its working principle is totally different than that of the FireStorm Booster.

This is the reason why the FireStorm Booster is able to generate the huge sparks and deliver the added performance.

Haha. Yes, business is picking up but the way we market the FireStorm Booster is different.

We put a high emphasis on customer service in the area of response and customer satisfaction to ensure our customer's have no complaints about the product or the response time to the best of our ability.

Too often, a product loses popularity because the response from the seller is slow or the seller is just more concerned about making money, hence neglecting the customer's priority.

I can proudly say that up till now I have managed to keep up my response time, whether in replying to emails, SMS or delivery of the product or answering to technical questions about the product to the best of my ability.

I appreciate questions and feedback so that I can improve on the customer service and product knowledge.

Cheers.

Hi,

Just want to find out whether this device is suitable for naza rondo?

Putting this into the fuse distributor, can we still close the fuse cover? Plugging this into the fuse distributor, can this device protect the car where the original fuse were meant to protect( since you have to remove the fuse to plug in)?

Appreciated if you could provide a picture of car installed with this device.

Finally the price + shipping to JB. Thank You

Depending on different car models, some cars have the fusebox in the engine compartment while some has it in the passenger cabin.

The FireStorm Booster may not fit in the fusebox with the cover closed, so you have to find a way to route the wires out of the fusebox and secure the FireStorm Booster with a cable tie so that it doesnt roll about in the engine compartment. The FireStorm Booster is waterproof so there is no worry about water splashing and damaging it.

You can see a fuse at the rear of the FireStorm Booster and this fuse replaces the fuse that you pulled out from the fuse socket. This device is a very well thought of design and covers most of the loopholes.

Please check your PM Inbox for the other details.

Hi,

Sorry, but I have yet to receive your mail. Also may I know which fuse location that the Firestorm Booster is using for Rondo. If it is the fuse box in the passenger cabin, might be quite difficult to install as it is located at the side of the instrument panel..

Hi

I'm sorry for the delay as there aren't many Rondos on the road and I have yet to install in one.

Does the owner's manual show the fuse diagram and explanation of each of the fuses? If yes, then can you please take a photo of the related pages of the owner's manual which show the fusebox diagram.

There are usually 2 fuseboxes in every car, 1 in the engine compartment and 1 in the passenger cabin. Please take a photo of both the diagrams.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers.

Why not post a standard price for everyone to see? Transparency is most important part of customer service isn't it? Just need to standardized the price for north, central and south peninsular, since you have already excluded East Malaysia.

The reason I dodnt post the price is so that only those who are interested and take the trouble to ask will know.

I prefer to engage the prospective buyer individually for a direct encounter. This is the best in terms of customer service experience for the individual.

Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it.

Cheers.

Hi Peter.

An update on my FC after installing Firestorm.

Just came back from a motoring holiday with family. Full load 5 passenger (2 adults & 3 kids with full luggage).

Trip was from PJ-Ipoh-Cameron Highlands-PJ . A total of 631 km.
Total fuel used (BHP RON95) was just RM100 (52 litres). Driving at a constant 110-120 km/h.

Result was IMPESSIVE! My long distance FC is now 12.05km/l.

You see, I have this habit of recording my FC during refuelling and I can tell you one thing. This is simply AMAZING man! rclxm9.gif

With Firestorm I actually gain extra 100 km per full tank. Can you believe it! icon_idea.gif

Previously before Firestorm, I only manage to get 520-530km every full tank of BHP RON95 (which I'm already happy considering my car is 26 year old 2.0) highway driving under same condition. Or 10km/l.

Not only I get extra 100 km, but my driving experience was totally EXCITING as well! Throttle respond is very good driving at 2500-3000 RPM. Engine noise is also greatly reduced at that engine speed.

Climbing up Cameron Highlands is a breeze with the new found power. whistling.gif

Thanks again man for this great product that actually help me save... thumbup.gif

Hi Sani, I am so glad that the FireStorm Booster is doing wonders for you.

So this small little unbelievable device is putting more life back into a 26 year old car. Actually your Merz does not look 26 years old and that's because you have kept it in very good looks. I personally like the interior and te console just looks great. IEIE also saw your ride but dunno if he has any comments.

Thanks again for posting the results. It just goes to show that oldies are goodies!

Cheers.

I cant comment about the V-Manage as I have not tested it. Based on the description of the V-Manage, it increases the 12V supply to 16V which is then supplied to the primary winding of the ignition coil which in turn creates a higher voltage output and higher current on the secondary winding to the spark plugs. This is similar to what the other HEI pre-ignition drivers are doing.

The FireStorm Booster does not work in the manner as the other HEI devices, as already explained in my posts. It DOES NOT cause static noise to be induced into the sound system of a properly wired setup. The reason I say "properly wired setup" is because some car accessory shop installers may create many ground wiring loops; meaning that they do not ground the grounding cable to the same point as all the other amplifier, equalizer, head unit etc but instead try to save expensive cables and wire the ground to the nearest body grounding point. This creates a ground loop which acts as an antenna. Two or more of these ground loops will cause noise to be picked up by the sensitive high gain audio system and be amplified into static or whining noise that comes from the spark distributor or alternator.

Please check your PM Inbox.

Cheers.

At this moment, I do not have any dealers in KL yet.

The FireStorm Booster is easily installed into the fuse socket of the fusebox and I provide instructions and a photo of the installation for the car model that you have so that you can just follow the phot and install correctly.

By going through a local dealer, you may have to pay more for installation charges or whatever that they decide to incorporate into the sales price.

The installation of the FireStorm Booster is so simple that so many Forummers in this Forum and other Forums have already bought through Poslaju and installed themselves.

Please check your PM Inbox for details.

Cheers.

So far, from the 2 years of R&D and the 1.5 years that it was sold in the northern region, there is no failure at all.

You want to know the warranty? You'll be blown away when I tell you cos even the more expensive USA, Japanese and Taiwan products cant give you this sort of warranty.

Take a guess.

Not a direct competitor in terms of the technology adopted by FireStorm, but products like Haltech HEI, MSD, Evil V-Manage etc that is supposed to give bigger sparks.

Hi Ibrahim

Glad to hear you've received the item and fitted it in. Thanks for the review.

Installation into the Saga Campro fuse socket is very easy.

You will feel even more light footed when driving on the highway at the allowed speed limit and if you will find it is much easier and faster to overtake compared to before installing the FireStorm Booster.

Enjoy your drive!

Cheers.

I'll have to get my hands on the spark plug opener first. The Honda CR-V plugs are smaller and is embedded deep in the middle between the 2 cams. The Kancil also uses small plugs. The problem with nuying used cars are that the previous owners remove the toolset, some even remove the car jack!

Either that or I'll visit my mechanic and ask him to take it out on my next oil change.

hello there, already install into my 92 1.5s iswara,
after 6 day installing..
the most noticeable on my car now,
1- morning really little shake than before..
2- really easy to start engine.. (before need to twist for a while about 2-3 second) now just like less 1 second twist if more kreeeekkk th starter sound
3- accelaration.. enough push right foot a bit for crusing 80-90, gear5, rpm between 2.0~2.5
4-the best part is, during driving on site(grabble road) i usually play gear 2 and 3 but now, after slow down continue with gear 3 also can without vibrating.. and rpm i used is about the same like before when shifting..
5- fuel usage.. i not observe.. coz sometimes my friend borrow car and topup my fuel.. cant say any at the moment...

*i dont know the cause.. but my radiator fan died on friday maybe it already reach its time.. know la 19 years never change..
*also tested on tuned honda sivic (maybe la,forget the model since dont have name at the back) my friend car, cant feel the difference, maybe already all the management thinggy vtec computer etc.. i also cant describe.. so i made myself conclusion it not reaaly worth to used on modified engine.. maybe lah
*also tested on kancil 1998 660 kancil.. standard also.. can feel the difference.. (lazy to write dah..) lol..

Great. Thanks for the feedback.

Good to hear that you're happy with the FireStorm Booster and what its doing for your engine.

As you said, if the engine has been modified kau-kau, then possibly may get only a little improvement. If the engine has not been modified or if only a little modification done to it then the FireStorm Booster will be able to give a lot more improvement.

I also install in my Kancil 660M and can feel much difference, especially in the faster and smoother acceleration. Also when we let go of the accelerator, the engine is still pulling because the FireStorm Booster is completely burning the air-fuel mixture and we are getting more power out of the same amount of petrol burnt.

Cheers.

OK, I just had time to finally take a reading of the voltage and current after returning from the Post Office to send off more units of the FireStorm Boosters to the new owners. Hehe.

For those skeptics and theorists who may have thought this FireStorm Booster boosts the voltage and current and may kill some electronics in the engine, here are the results of the measurements that I took off my Kancil 660M. Please take note that this is face value reading in that the voltage and current are not true RMS readings since my cheap RM20 China-made multimeter does not read in RMS figures.

I just tested on my Kancil 660M which has improvement in acceleration meaning more torque throughout the entire RPM band, especially from idling and accelerating all the way up through all the gears.

On idle, without the FireStorm Booster, the voltage measured at the incoming power to the ignition coil was 13.98V and current drawn was 1.98A but after installing the FireStorm Booster, the output voltage was 13.25V and current drawn dropped to 1.85A so this means that the ignition coil is running cooler after installing the FireStorm Booster because both the voltage and current have dropped lower.

The voltage drop of 0.73V and current drop of 0.13A means that the ignition coil is running 0.095W cooler than before the installation of the FireStorm Booster.

The voltage and current reading will read differently for all cars due to tolerances in electronics etc so the numbers published here is specifically referenced to my SLK 660M (Small Little Kancil, haha!).

I hope this dispells anymore doubts and theories that anyone may have regarding the FireStorm Booster melting plugs and burning out ignition coils, ECUs etc.

Have a great day!

Cheers.

So are we getting a glimpse of the used normal cheap spark plug that you have been using? Just want to see if everything is still normal after 1.5 years using it. Am I right on the time period?

Eh? I didnt say I was using for 1.5 years, you must have misunderstood or assumed this!

I said the FireStorm Booster was sold in the northern region for 1.5 years.

And it was installed in my CR-V 2 months ago which I use for outstation runs only. I dont use the CR-V much in town as I have 5 vehicles and 2 bikes to use!

Cheers.

Hi, thanks for your reply. May I ask how do we address the issue whether there is any long term side effect, since you have also just tried it for 2 months? Appreciate your reply.

Simple, since you have not purchased even 1 unit yet, so you wont know for yourself the pros and cons. Maybe if you keep checking on this thread in another 1 year and 4 months time, you can get an update here or you can PM me then?

Otherwise, keep checking in on this thread from time to time to see if any of the users have any complaint about this product in the next few months. Sorry, there aren't any accelerated life test conducted on my spark plugs.

Or the best would be to experience it yourself by putting a unit into your car.

Cheers.

No, you are wrong! I am not hard up for business. This is not a business for me but a passion to share a device that can help those who want more out of their car and yet is affordable.

I dont post ridiculous claims of power enhancement and fuel savings. Look at the reviews and feedbacks from the users. This is their experience after they have installed the FireStorm Booster. They are getting something for the money that they pay for the device. I dont sell pieces of fat cables or a box of capacitors and claim huge power increase and huge fuel savings.

I dont mind people asking questions but your requests are impossible to fulfil and you assume much more than what I say. As I have said, it is good to ask questions and I know where you are going with your requests.

I'm sure the other Forummers reading your posts would feel a little strange of the questions that you ask.

My reply to you is simple and to the point. If I did not like people who didnt buy from me asking questions then I would not have replied to you, even up to this point and the threads would not have entered its 11th page.

I am not angry at you in any way, please believe me. All I ask is that questions and posts should be constructive and useful so that other Forummers can understand and gain knowledge from.

I am here to share my knowledge and also to learn from others. Remember that, he who shares, learns more.

Cheers.

Hi peter,i received the FireStorm Ignition Coil Booster today.
Are this FireStorm Ignition Coil Booster is self made because its dun have proper packing and warranty card biggrin.gif
But never mind , lets go back to my feedback, i immediately feel the car becomes stable after i install it , before my idle rpm is on 1.5-2 now i adjust it to 1 and the car is still remain stable without any uncomfortable vibrate .
The engine sound becomes more quiet and there is some improve on pick up.
About FC , i will updated it later after i make a comparison.
Cheers

Errr... back yard industry lah! Hahaha. If not how to sell so cheap? If it comes with nice packing and instruction booklet then can add another RM200-RM300 to the price lah. Hahaha. But more imnportant is that it works!

Good to hear that your engine is now idling the way it should. Before this your FC must be really horrible but now I believe there will be much improvement.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Cheers.

I have used this for many weeks now.
I guess it's time for me to say something about this.

This thing does indeed provide a smoother acceleration to my car.
However, it doesn't save fuel in my car, not even 1% of fuel saving.
i just came back to JB from KL.
I had been cruising more than 700KM along the North-South highway.
I tested it on both rural and urban driving in the past few weeks.
I don't have heavy right foot.
I used RON95 fuel from Caltex and Esso.

Does it worth the money?
For me, yes it's worth the money for that smoother acceleration.

Hi Jerry

Thanks for the feedback.

Irregardless of new or old car, there is a difference after the installation. My advice is to use the FireStorm Booster for the whole of next week then after Christmas, remove it and drive for a few days.

This is so that you would get used to the FireStorm Booster's difference and then back to your normal car performance.

Give it a go and let me know at the end of this month. OK?

Cheers.

I think for light foot driver , its bring minimal effect since you dun often press pedal for quick acceleration.
Its bring big impact for heavy foot driver because now they dun need press pedal to gain same effect as before.
For my feedback, my little car engine dun often " chok " during drive low on 3rd gear.
For Fc , i still monitoring tongue.gif

Hi Farakz

As advised to jeryygys, use it for 1 week then remove it after Christmas and drive without it to compare.

This "feeling" thingy or what we call "butt-dyno" is very subjective and differs from every individual. Some people are more sensitive towards their car performance while others are lesser.

This is why some people argue that only a dyno run will prove if a device works. In a certain sense I agree to this argument, however, in light that the price of this device is so much lower compared to other similar performance devices costing more than RM1000 and is less affordable plus that it is not universally adaptable to all car engines, I would say that the expectation for this simple device would have to be lesser than those costing more than RM1000 and quoting xx% of gains and xx% of fuel savings.

The FireStorm Booster is a good choice to upgrade the performance in terms of faster and smoother acceleration for the stock original car that has not gone through much or any modifications.

This device will save the user's money where in comparison to installing other aftermarket devices that will either void the warranty of the car and engine or cost a lot of money eg. exhaust manifold/header swap, removal of the catalytic converter or rear muffler box, replacement of high lift cams, injectors, throttle bodies, stroker kits, piggyback ECUs, bolt-on turbos etc.

It is undeniable that to get huge performance gains, the above modifications are the way to go but that costs a huge amount of money and also makes the engine a fuel guzzler.

You can try to remove the fuse at the back of the FireStorm Booster and insert it again a few times to ensure that there is good contact between the fuse and its connector. Do this likewise for the Booster's wire connector to the fuse socket, then run this device for 1 week and after Christmas Sunday, remove it and drive another week and see if you feel any difference in the acceleration and gear changing during your normal driving style.

Sometimes many people expect a huge surge of power from this device, but I am sorry to say that this is not what the FireStorm Booster is designed for. It is designed to give a smoother and slightly faster acceleration and because it gives a more complete combustion of the air-fuel mixture, there would be slightly more power squeezed out from the air-fuel combustion and this will help with the smoother acceleration as well that on automatic gearboxes, the gear changes are faster and less auto gear change or kick down when climbing up slopes or hilly terrain.

Please let me know in 2 weeks time after you have driven 1 week with the Booster installed and 1 week without the Booster.

Cheers.

Hi Simon

Thanks for providing your review.

Yes, you received your FireStorm Booster probably on 18th of last month so that's a month of use on your ACR50.

As with all power boosting devices, the gains will be the difference in acceleration and in which case should work out to more fuel savings since the smoother and faster acceleration would mean lesser foot work on the accelerator pedal hence the fuel savings bonus.

However, in start-stop town and urban runs, there would be minimal to no mileage gains fromthe FireStorm Booster as the amount of petrol wasted in traffic congestion and crawling in town.

Highway runs, especially on long stretches should see more savings, however, this again depends on the "right foot" factor. Hehe.

I always tell my customers in person that after fitting any power boosting device, the urge to feel the thrill of a smoother and faster acceleration always gets us to jab the accelerator pedal a bit more than normal and in the first few weeks or even months for some, as they are happy with the acceleration factor and so the fuel saving factor is not seen.

The final million dollar question for everyone who has purchased the FireStorm Booster and has had it installed in their car is:

Is it worth the money for the smoother acceleration and fuel gains bonus OR I am happy with the slightly better performance even though without any fuel gains from this device as Simon has mentioned here.

Then again, if you've never tried, you'll never know.

Cheers.

Hi Peter,

Here is my review. I'm comparing it with my existing V-Manage & FireStorm Booster.

Faster Acceleration, gear change smoothness is the same as V-Manage. FireStorm Booster is running cooler compare to V-Manage. I can feel my engine running more smoother & silence also, as for torque 'FSB' perform slightly lower compare to v-manage because of the different voltage generated between both of them. (V-Manage 16.1vdc max, FSB 14.5vdc max) Voltage recorded for my car only. It's strongly recommended for stock to mildly modify car. You won't feel on heavily modifier as written by Peter. Surprisingly this gadget can squeeze out extra 20km even i had added 5kg into the car during testing period.

In short:
FireStorm more suitable for Stock to mildly modified car. (i.e. High flow Air Filter, Iridium plug, lighten pulley & etc)
V-Manage is suitable for heavier modified car.

Driving on non-stop or long range definitely will save more.

Tested using BHP RON95 on 1ZZFE

Jimmy, Thank you so much for your review and comparison with the V-Manage.

Hi Ezue

Are you using the FireStorm Booster in your Wira or was it Kancil that you were testing out earlier on?

An easy way to find out is to remove the FireStorm Booster and drive your car for a few days without it, then install the Booster back in again and see if there is any difference.

Please let me know after you have done this for 2-3 days.

I got it for my Elantra 1.8 thumbup.gif

The review for last week:-

1. Not much different on fuel consumption because used most of the time in town.

2. Can feel the different directly after you plugged it in to the fuse box (you might feel a little bit hard to start for the 1st and 2nd times, but don't worry after that you will feel the smoother start up). Some products claim that you need to wait for 1 week or you need to plugged it in to the main cigarrate point, tell you what, THAT'S SUCKS!!!

3. Smoother gear changed and better power unleashed for every gear point, became very sensitive and when the time the car is underpower, it will changed to lower gear smoothly.

4. Better torque and RPM climbed up easily: Don't believe? You can get a straight road and do a 100% throttle, definately can feel the different before and after.

Actually at the beginning, I don't really believe FIRESTORM can performed like this. But somehow after I tried, I can only said it's really over my expectation. Really worth to get it, good product and thanks to Peter to brought it to us thumbup.gif

Hi Steven

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I hope you get excited everytime you get into the car to drive because that's what it does for me.

The smoother and faster acceleration plus knowing that I have more pulling power the moment I want it, is a great feeling, compared to the original response of the engine, before installing the FireStorm Booster.

The fuel savings will be minimal in town use but the moment you hit the highways, you'll see much more savings.

Here's wishing you and everyone here a very Happy New Year!

Cheers.

After following the thread for sometime, decided get one to try, my objective is to get better FC not really for performance.

my first impression after installing Firestomp is, I find the car "much more willing to move" once I press on the accelerator, for me this is something additional.

With the more or less the same route that I took daily :

Before using Firestorm, I can get 420-430KM when the light came up per full tank.

After using Firestorm, I can get around 480 when the light came up per full tank.

Above is just a brief update from my observation on FC, I will monitor my FC for sometime and compile the data and post it up here.

Getting another unit from Peter, as my unit has been hijacked to another car for testing.

Oh ya, I will be testing on another ride which having quite high FC, currently running at 7KM/L +/- (about 14.28L/100KM) , lets see how it goes.

Overall, am happy with the Firestomp so far. Thanks Peter for a great product.

Bro, +1 to your product. Excellent service and also patient in explaining to the customer how to install etc.

I was a bit skeptical about this product at first, as it is not very common in the market and a lot of people have disregarded ignition boosters to increase performance.

After half a day of testing it out, I found that the gear changes on my Fiesta are much smoother especially at the 1st to 2nd gear. Can also feel that combustion is more complete due to bigger spark. Acceleration might have improved from smoother gear change but this might be just placebo effect. I will disconnect the Firestorm Booster after a few days of driving and then plug it back in after another few days to confirm.

But as for now so far, I'm satisfied with the product (although my mechanic showed me that there is no visible change in the spark size produced by the spark plug after starting my car as shown in the video, probably because he did it at a short distance.)

Further testing reports coming up in a few days. =)

Thx Peter.

Hi John

Thanks for your initial review on the installation in your Ford Fiesta S. Yes, the coreect way is to drive with the device for 3-4 days then if you feel the effect is lesser, just remove the device and drive without it for comparison.

Enjoy youtr ride!

Cheers.

OK, here's a testimony that I have not shared before.

I just got back from my friend's house about 30 mins ago. She called me earlier this evening to ask why her car was jerking when accelerating after stopping at the traffic lights. This had been happening for the past 2 days occassionally after driving for a bit.

Prior to this, I had helped change her Oxygen sensor which had failed more than a week ago. The Check Engine Light came on and the engine was jerking and convulsing occassionally when she was driving and the fuel consumption was very high compared to normal. After replacing the Oxygen sensor, the jerking ceased and the fuel consumption was much better but it was too soon for her to say if it was back to normal.

So, I went over to check if there were any symptoms of the Oxygen sensor failure again and asked a friend who had an OBD2 scanner to tag along to check the ECU codes. Of course, the earlier Oxygen sensor diagnostic trouble code was still logged in the ECU, so he erased the DTC. He ran the engine and checked but there were no more DTC and the engine check light was also off.

During this time, both of us could smell the unburnt petrol fumes were very strong and wondered what could have caused this since the ECU did not flash any failure in the Oxygen sensor or any Air-Fuel issues. And this was coming from a 2003 import Honda CR-V that had a catalytic converter! We revved the engine a few times and the unburnt petrol smell got worse and the rate the RPM needle climbed was sluggish.

So he suggested I fix the FireStorm Booster into the CR-V to reduce the exhaust emissions since this is one of the function of the FireStorm Booster; that is to allow a more complete combustion of the air-fuel mixture and to reduce the exhaust emissions.

Guess what? After fixing in the FireStorm Booster, the engine started with just one crank, where previously before installing, it took 2-3 cranks to start the engine. We revved the engine and found that it was smoother and the RPM needle climbed faster and the engine was quieter when revved compared to before the installation. All this revving was done with the CR-V stationary.

What really caught both our attention and my friend's (the CR-V owner) attention was that this time after installing the FireStorm Bootser, the unburnt petrol smell had disappeared and what we smelt was the usual exhaust fumes that had a catalytic converter doing its job to burn up whatever unburnt air-fuel mixture.

Those of you who have cars with catalytic converters will know of the smell that is a little 'sourish' in smell, which signifies that there is no unburnt air-fuel mixture coming put of the tailpipe. Older cars without the catalytic converter will have the usual unburnt petrol smell from the tailpipe.

She was surprised and convinced that a little device like the FireStorm Booster had such a huge effect in removing the smell of the unburnt petrol.

I'm sure those of you who have installed the FireStorm Booster can also have this same experience with cleaner exhaust emission fumes.

bro, finally managed to get my car back this evening after 3 days of waiting for distributor replacement. Straight away i've installed it to the my car distributor. Haven't done the testing yet since i'm to tired to test drive it. But will surely update once i've tried it out.

I can say Peter is a very helpful and resourceful seller. he patiently answered my question and even went to his japanese friend to translate the diagram of my fusebox.

Thanks peter for helping me out!

Thank you so much for your kind comments.

Good to hear that your car has been repaired. I'm sure you will find your ride different than before the installation of the FireStorm Booster.

Will be looking forward to hear of your experience after you have tested it out for a bit.

Cheers.

after two days of driving with FireStorm installed, this is my experience
1. lesser engine vibration when idling at 600-700rpm even when aircond compressor kicks in cause usually my car would rock real hard
2. smoother gear shift for 1st and 2nd gear, less power loss on gear shift. My car is auto btw.
3. better pickup on higher rpm, didn't have to step hard on the oil to overtake at high speed.
4.as for the fc, still cant say much will update once i've finished my fuel tank

overall i can say this stuff is good, worth every penny i pay

Hi Hafiz, thank you so much for sharing your experience.

I'm so glad to hear that the FireStorm Booster has gven you a better and more pleasurable driving experience.

You should see better fuel economy when you're driving on long stretches as you dont have to step so much on the accelerator when you're cruising on the highway. If you're always stuck in traffic congestion then whatever you save will be lost when you get stuck in traffic.

Enjoy your ride!

Cheers.

Just want to wish everyone a Very Happy Chinese New Year and hapy holidays! Drive safely and enjoy your drive.

I would appreciate any feedbacks from owners of the FireStorm Booster. Both positive and negative or neutral feedbacks are appreciated so that I can know if you're happy with the product or having trouble with it and try to help out where I can.

If any of you are out here in Penang for a holiday, do call me and we can meet up for kopi. I'll be staying put in Penang for thr CNY holidays.

Cheers.

Used the product in 2 cars

but doing a in depth review at the moment so doing a week with another week without

so far in my Kia sportage 2011 i notice quieter engine even after 5K of sound proofing. On this alone its worth its salt. Pickup is also better gear shifting is also better

For my older Chervolet Optra. Same with the lower engine noise, Pickup and gear shifting better too. WIth optra its easier to start the engine

ALso i notice a small fc drop. And for both cars you can rev the engine longer before forcing a gear change

Great product so far

Hi

Thanks for posting your review. I'm glad its a positive experience for both your cars.

The FireStirm Booster will be very helpful with the quicker acceleration and lighter foot work on the pedal especially in city driving.

Enjoy your drive!

Cheers.

Thanks for your review. Your Campro engine is benefitting from the full enhancement of the ignition spark provided by the FireStorm Booster.

All the 5 points you have mentioned is exactly what the FireStorm Booster is designed to do.

Enjoy your drive.

Hey pete, I own a Charade with a Toyota Starlet 4efte 1.3turbo engine.

Recently tuned my car at 1.5bar of boost and the car is misfiring on high rpm. I'm assuming the sparks get extinguished even before it could jump far down to the ground electrodes.

I reduced the gap of the plugs and now it is jerking on low rpm.

So, the question is :

1. Can you solve my problem if i increase the gap again?
2. It increases the voltage to the coil, will it fry my coil?

Do quote me. Location KL

Thanks

Its a spark booster that creates stronger sparks so that your air-fuel mixture in the engine will be burned more efficiently so that you can get every ounce of energy from the fuel combustion.

The positive effect is that you will feel a faster and smoother acceleration throughout the entire RPM band and lower engine noise. Automatic gear change will also be faster with lesser down shifts when going up steep slopes or when the car is heavily loaded. The exhaust fumes will not smell of unburnt petrol.

Cheers.

To take your money, I have to ensure that you are happy and willing to give to me, otherwise I get sleepless nights! Hahaha.

OK, good news for you and everyone who's been waiting for me to come down to KL. My schedule in KL as follows;

DATE: 16-17 MARCH 2012 (FRIDAY & SATURDAY)

VENUE: SUNWAY LAGOON (will scout for a suitable location and confirm when you phone me on the day)

TIME: 16 MARCH (FRIDAY) from 3pm-7pm and 17 MARCH (SATURDAY) from 9am-7pm

Please PM or SMS me your NAME, LYN Nick and CAR MODEL at 016-4894940 to confirm your preferred time to meet so that I can arrange a slot for you to avoid having to wait too long in line.

I need your co-operation to confirm your preferred meeting time and car model so that I will have the correct connector type model for your car and sufficient units for everyone.

I also welcome those of you who have purchased from me via Poslaju and installed by yourself to meet up with me if you have any questions on your installation.

Cheers.

Peter

Hi Jerry

Can you please remove the FireStorm Booster and drive 1 or 2 days and see if this problem goes away. Then after 2 days put the FireStorm back in again and drive for another few days to see if the problem comes back.

I have not come across this problem before from any of my customers. Do let me know your findings after you have done the above.

I'll be most happy to meet up with you next month in KL when I'm there/

Cheers.

Not all the owners leave comments on the product. I have many Viva owners who purchased but they didnt leave any feedback.

I do however know by direct experience on a Viva that experienced bad engine knocking/pinging that caused the engine to loose power very badly. The owber used RON97 petrol as was advised by the Perodua Service Centre mechanics which solved the problem, but at an extra RM0.90 per litre!

When I found out the owner was using RON97 to get back the lost power, I asked him to try the FireStorm Booster which I know will restore the lost power as well as remove the knocking/pinging issue.

True enough, after refilling RON95 petrol, the problem returned. I met up with the owner and installed the FireStorm Booster and the knocking/pinging was reduced very much on normal driving but not altogether, especially when the Viva was fully loaded and going up steep inclines. He was however very happy to be able to use RON95 petrol again and yet had power improvements compared to before the installation of the FireStorm Booster.

I then advised the owner to have the engine de-carbonised as the problem with the knocking/pinging formerly, before using RON97 would have caused carbon deposit build-ups from the pre-combustion detonation.

Sure enough after going to the Perodua Service Centre for a de-carb, the Viva's regained its original performance and even more due to the FireStorm Booster. The Viva 1.0 was an automatic transmission version which was quite laggy.

So, what are the mods that you have done to your ride? Is it automatic or manual transmission?

Cheers.

thanks for the reply bro.
mine is viva elite 1.0

done intake mods, full set exhaust system, lightened pulleys, irid plugs.
experiencing rough idlings when engine fully warmed up. sometimes rpm drop too low till about ~500 (when compressor stops kicking in) and car feel shaky and about to die off (but didnt haha)

when compressor kicks in, idling back to normal

experiencing rough idlings when engine fully warmed up. sometimes rpm drop too low till about ~500 (when compressor stops kicking in) and car feel shaky and about to die off (but didnt haha)

when compressor kicks in, idling back to normal
*
The Viva ECU is not self learning, hence after the free-flow intake and exhaust mods, the engine loses vacuum due to lesser exhaust back pressure. The lightened pully also contribute to the low and erratic engine idling as the combustion of this low capacity engine is not able to sustain the idling momentum.

The air-cond idling is fixed at a certain RPM so that's the reason the engine idling is back to normal when the compressor kicks in.

Just fix an appointment with me and drop by at Sunway Lagoon. I'll fix the FireStorm Booster to your car and see if it will help reduce or eliminate this problem. If we dont try, we wont know.

Cheers.

Hi, is ur Iswara Carburettor or Fuel Injection? If Carb, install direct to distributor connector, just disconnect the connector n install the Booster's connector to the distributor's connector.

Dont worry. The FireStorm Booster does not consume any more power than what your ignition coil needs. It consumes lesser power than your car CD player!!!

Please let me know what car model and which state in Malaysia you are from so that I can quote you the price with shipping charges.

Cheers.

Hi

As long as you do not cut any wires then it wont void the warranty.

I tell all my customers that they have to remove whatever aftermarket device that they install before going to the Service Centre. This is so that they dont have to argue with the SC personnel.

In fact, changing the CD player or speakers will even void the warranty, which to me, is a stupidly ridiculous excuse from the SC!

They should come out with a clause that states if you do not go back to the SC for oil change and every little thing, then your car warranty will be void! Another prohibition would be to prevent any charginhg devices to be plugged into the cigarette lighter, unless these items are purchased from the SC!

So, just remove whatever device that you put in before you go to the Service Centre.

Please check your PM for the price.

Cheers.

Hello Peter ..received ur 2 FICB thanks for ur fast actions... both have installed vios & innova ...

I find ...;
- engine sound lowered ..why???
- feel more power .. when press fuel paddle ... why?

I saw some post difficult to start (no said difficult, like longer time, maybe 1-2second), is it because you use the material, I mean the connector ... b'cos when I pull the original fuse ..it using like copper?? but I saw ur's using like normal "steel" color ... maybe it will affect a bit ...

I got fews questions

1)how come innova put inside ( engine there also got fuse box ) and Vios put engine fuse box???...
2)I saw the fuse box at innova ..the fuse I replace this, the word written there like fuse for "injector" .... is it mean plug??

Tq.

this is my feedback installed to my perodua viva auto.

1)immediately smoother engine feels and less vibration. rclxms.gif
2)feel a bit more powerful eventhou i released the throttle pedal, can still feel the car momentum moving forward.really felt when cornering....feels a bit like heel n toe.i still haf momentum to continue exiting the corner with lesser delay on throttle opening. rclxm9.gif hehehe.... thumbs up!!! thumbup.gif really exciting plus need to get use to it.hehe...

sorry, was not able to test drive it with you.cause i bring my wife along....i was suppose to send her first but since u said u were free...so i came earlier.hehehe...

my point, recommended product. thumbup.gif
hopefully the ROI is immediate. brows.gif

P/s:my viva is still stock std with minor upgrades like exhaust, iridium plugs, guangdao VS + groundings. icon_rolleyes.gif

That is exactly what you should experience!

The enghine noise is lower because the fuel burning is more complete and you get more power out of the same amount of pwtrol that your engine burns. This translates into lower engine RPM for more power so the engine sounds much quieter while you also feel more power from the engine and do not have to ste so hard on the accelerator pedal like before you install the FireStorm Booster.

Its not conclusive on our testing whether the copper or plated contacts would give better or lesser conductivity.

The FireStorm Booster is installed to the fuse socket that supplies power to the ignition coil. The designated fuse differs for all cars.

I'm very happy that you have expereinced the positive effects of the FireStorm Booster.

Cheers.

Peter

Hi bro

Thanks so much for coming over and sorry that your wife had to stand under the sun while I installed the FireStorm Booster. Thanks also for your positive feedback.

Most people will share the same as your expereince in lower engine noise and vibration. But only very few are sensitive enough to feel what you feel in your No 2 point.

The Iridium plugs with the FireStorm Booster enhances the performance effect even more, even though the normal spark plugs are sufficient.

Cheers.

Peter

Peter,

thanks for the booster, item received yesterday and directly installed. after installation, i defenietly feel the following change in my Ford Escape:

1) Idling more stable and less vibration
2) Easy startup
3) Lower RPM on all gear range
4) Less downshift and maintain gear in uphill
5) Good pickup and the car feel lighter
6) RPM go up faster during overtaking which is good
7)on FC, i have no test yet but will report later but it may have some saving cause of the lower RPM on same speed. previously on 80km/h, RPM at 2000 RPM, now only at 1800RPM.

that is few major improvement for me. Very happy with this purchase.

Will post installation after proper connection made.

cheers

Hi Ian

Thanks for the feedback. And thanks for bringing the guys together the other night. I was amazed at the speed they did in that short stretch! The scariest was our Ipoh friend in his 1.6 BLM. Haha.

Has the dyno been done yet? What are the results?

Can you please PM me your email address so that I can email the photo to you?

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, you will see more fuel savings when driving on long stretches on the highway because the fuel savings that you get are not lost in start-stop cpnditions in town/city driving where there are lots of traffic lights as well as traffic congestion.

Enjoy your drive!

Cheers.

Hi bro, PM sent.

All petrol engine cars have ignition coil. Older cars have external ignition coil, newer cars have internal ignition coil in the distributor. Even newer model cars use Coil-over-Plugs.

Cheers.

HI

No, it wont affect or damage any of your car's electrical components. The FireStorm Booster slightly lowers the amount of current consumed by the ignition coil so your ignition coil actually runs cooler than before installation.

The output voltage to the spark plug is higher but the current is not increased so it wont damage your spark plugs either.

Cheers.

Hello flashaholic, I was interested with your ignition booster until I saw something that puzzled me:

QUOTE(flashaholic @ Dec 12 2011, 03:24 PM)
On idle, without the FireStorm Booster, the voltage measured at the incoming power to the ignition coil was 13.98V and current drawn was 1.98A but after installing the FireStorm Booster, the output voltage was 13.25V and current drawn dropped to 1.85A so this means that the ignition coil is running cooler after installing the FireStorm Booster because both the voltage and current have dropped lower.

The voltage drop of 0.73V and current drop of 0.13A means that the ignition coil is running 0.095W cooler than before the installation of the FireStorm Booster.
*
An ignition booster is supposed to increase the spark voltage but if your product drops the voltage and current of the ignition coil, isn't that reduced power delivered to the ignition system?

Or is this product not a ignition voltage booster but something that modifies the frequency?

Yes, even though the voltage and current drops a little as measured in my Kancil, yet the resulting spark is bigger because the voltage frequency is increased.

Please see this simple video that explains how the spark voltage can be increased just by increasing the frequency but without increasing the current to the ignition coil.

This should clear up your doubts.

Would altering the ignition frequency affect the engine's ignition timing?

Your ECU will detect if the engine is losing power and kncoking/pinging and auto retard but if the engine does not knock/ping then the ECU will run as advanced as it is programmed.

The ECU will not override the ignition coil output.

Then this makes the product very appealing for NGV users who wants cheap alternative to TAP.

As interesting as it sounds, I'd like to know the price.

Looks like jerrygys who's running the same setup as yours for the past 6 months with the FieStorm Booster has given him a better ride.

It wont damage any components of the car. There will be even better performance with iridium plugs.

Please check your PM.

Hi Goh

Your AmBank online transfer still has not come through into my Maybank a/c yet. The last time another buy used CIMB to transfer to my Maybank a/c also took 2 days. I do not know why interbank transfers are so difficult.

This is why I always my customers to either transfer from maybank to Maybank or if they do not have a Maybank a/c, then to bank in cash at the Maybank ATM. This is to ensure that the funds are immediately in to my Maybank a/c and I can send out on the same day, provided the funds are in my Maybank a/c before 1pm.

Even as of 3 minutes ago before I started this reply, your AmBank online fund transfer has not been credited to my Maybank yet. I expect that either by tonight or overnight, the funds should be in. In which case I will ship out by Poslaju tomorrow.

Cheers.
