WiFi was the real reason why it was slow. Feel sorry for Maxis. laugh.gif
Anyway, Maxis still can't fix the FB video issue. sweat.gif
They are still escalating to the higher level...

I'm not sure about you but somehow I feel that my laptop's WiFi receiver is not that strong despite the router just seated next to it.
I'm better off with LAN.

well sometimes when my usb modem dont work and i will try to flash between mobile partner / maxis broadband FW & dashboard. like just now few hour ago my E1762 not working again, so i flash it back to mobile partner and hey is working perfectly again,.. u might want to try it out,. nothing to lose since u can flash it back easily,.. that's why i love SE phone, because it can force the H signal instead of stuck at 3G like usb modem,..

one thing i find out in my area: digi , U mobile, Celcom , no matter what device i use,. the signal area always show H on default,.. and no need to force H signal at all,.. when come to maxis , no matter what device i use , signal area always show 3G on default,. and always need to force the H signal out otherwise i will stuck with 3G whole day/night doh.gif

how come maxis is like this ? sound like is maxis problems because certain i have more than 8 device and it can't be my side problems plus when i insert other telco like Digi, UM, Celcom , default auto showing on signal bar is H instead of 3G,...

everytime when i use usb modem, i will launch the MDMA first to see whether i am connect to Hspa or 3G tower,. as there is 3 cell id in my area only,.. when i see is 3G cell tower ID in MDMA, i am so disappointed, rclxub.gif

any ideas on this ? anyone face exactly same issue like me ?

one question to ask here - for the network in Dashboard, it should be WCDMA only or preferred? and the band should be ALL BAND or GSM900/GSM1800/WCDMA900/WCDMA2100?

Mine is always on HSPA... smile.gif
I seldom see it on WCDMA, unless there is no active data transfer.

I don't use plug-in but I think my memory tells me it is WCDMA preferred for default and I didn't change that settings.

Meanwhile, my speed for this Sunday's noon. Was raining in PJ earlier.

when u use SE phone ( those original SE OS ), is much easier to force the H signal compare to nokia x3-02,..

nokia x3-02 dont need to force, if maxis have H signal then the phone will automatic show 3.5G word in the signal area instead of 3G only,. just restart the nokia x3-02 and make sure ur setting is set to 3G only. then when u restart ur phone the 3.5G signal will default auto show in signal bar area,.

for SE phone, i use SE W705 because it can force the H signal very efficently,. ( because SE phone also always show 3G instead of H signal for my maxis )

- go to menu
- setting
- connectivity
- mobile network
- gsm/3G networks
- switch to GSM only
- switch it back to GSM & 3G ( after 5~10second )
- go to select network
- let the ( searching for networks ) scan finish
- reselect the maxis 3G
- after u select it the H will appear on your signal bar,. ( sometimes it only appear for a few second only, so u must act fast it u want to hold on to it, )

if u want to use your maxis back in usb modem, remember just use your maxis multisim 5~10min before u transfer it to your usb modem. then when u start your usb modem, the modem will connect to HSPA tower instead of 3G tower with stuck at 3G,..

so if u use SE phone on direct plug, remember to connect your USB cable to your computer first before u start the force H signal step above so that as soon as the H signal appear, u can direct connect with your dialer ( as i use window 7 dialer ) on the spot in computer,..

for those of you who have problems of getting the H signal, u might want to try step above, it work everytime for me when all my usb modem not functioning well & stuck at 3G,..

strange thing is when i use DIgi, Celcom or UM sim in my SE W705 phone, the H signal icon default auto showing on signal bar area and the H is there the whole time!!!!! only maxi sim showing 3G,.. ( my hotlink sim also get 3G instead of H too,... hmm.gif )

i do try before, i have hotlink, same my SE W705 phone direct auto default show 3G also instead of H signal,. and my friends maxis bb sim also same when i try with it,..

or sometimes when my E1762 stuck at 3G whole time , i will flashing it between maxis broadband FW & dashboard or mobile partner FW & dashboard... it work very well at direct connect to HSPA tower after reflashing too,.. hmm.gif
