MF190, raw no router, meaning my area is more suited to UMTS 2100 as MF190 is a UMTS2100 & not UMTS900/UMTS2100 modem

well i wish to know that too,. too bad i dont have any device which support single 900Mhz band,. so that's why i use E270 now to see how the 2100Mhz signal,. when we use single band device then is certain that we are connect through 1 single band which is 2100Mhz in my case here,. and E270 definitely do a great job when u need consistent download speed in DL tons of thing,.. thumbup.gif

Huawei E270 consistency thumbup.gif

DL speed show in task manager is around 5.30Mbps ~ 5.48Mbps stable,..! icon_rolleyes.gif
even though the PING test result is not that good, but consistency with this E270 ( using 2100Mhz band ) is superb,. thumbup.gif
compare with my E1762 always ping test time out and internet connection no traffic doh.gif

I ady told u tat UMTS2100 is stable and consistent. so try to DL using a UMTS2100 only modem , the reason Maxis introduced UMTS900 is to cater for more subscribers BUT did not take into consideration tat it provide CONSISTENCY , meaning just grab as much customers in every corner of the town as possible.......

After 3.00 a.m., I managed to download 1.2GB in less than 30 minutes at PD home. smile.gif

Though Speedtest doesn't always show fantastic results here.

yea, 2100Mhz is super consistent that 900Mhz, and it never DC even for more than 24 hour,.. amazing,. that's why i am using E270 to download instead of E1762,.. yea 900Mhz although signal is stronger but consistency is very bad,....
