Wow not bad not bad. Way better than my Streamyx 4mbps.

Ping also better than a wired line.

But the mobile network in Ipoh still very lagging behind compared to larger cities like KV, JB and Penang.

well, try to use a phone can support 7.2Mbps download speed , 2 or 5.76Mbps upload and also support 900 Mhz & 2100 Mhz dual 3G band,.

then u will realise that phone can easily out perform any modem in poor signal area,. my house inside is very poor signal, even my friends sumsung galaxy ace come in and stuck with only 3G like my modem do too,..

day time i can get easily 3~5Mbps,. stable and yet steady too with this sonyericsson W705,..

with phone tethering, u dont need to put it near window, and yet u still can easily get good signal, and better reception,..

No la, I'm quite contented actually. biggrin.gif
Especially PD doesn't have UniFi and highest Streamyx's package is 4Mbps, so I'm faster than those users. tongue.gif

The Nokia X3-02 speed results looks enticing...brows.gif
That one specs says it support 10.2mbps.

Thailand and Australia all always get good signal strength is because they use 850MHz band.
It's very good even when penetrating indoors and walls.

Malaysia should not hold back the 850MHz bands.

I realise ip address does make the speed different
My modem signal must above 48% in order to get this speed.

Nothing weird. That should be perfectly normal.
The base towers are not capable to receive so much of signals compared to PJ because of the number of users. Hence, PJ towers are obviously better in this aspect. smile.gif

Yes, once the area is known to have lesser users, no point installing towers that capable to receive multi-signals from plenty of users. In a way, it is cost effective as well. smile.gif
