Tat fc300 cause fc500 should be still prototype or I am wrong?
*
allow me to explain here. it's their product number issue. the FC300, FC400, and FC500, the numbers with 300, 400, 500 are actually the layout of the keyboard.

FC300 are korean, FC400 are japanese, FC500 are US English Layout. So there's a difference on this, that is why it makes you guys confusing. For Boxing issue, it is because Leopold just expanding to foreign region, so they does not have English language box for FC500 brown, black, blue. but people that purchase cherry mx red, will most likely to receive different language box which is Chinese box. lol

i hope this is not causing you any issue.

XM ALPS are clicky and you don't need a lot of force to press. But the downside is that they rattle a lot.

Hi guys, is there any mechanical kb in taobao worth buying? My sis is joining spree so maybe i wan tumpang.

Usage-wise... little gaming and chatting.
*
i would recommend you, keyboard with MX Brown/Red switch.

If your total is RM500, and you wanted to buy one for yourself and your sis, which splits to RM250 per keyboard. i think Ducky might near that price tag.

QUOTE(kEazYc @ Dec 2 2011, 12:31 PM)
Since you got the budget, why not you order it locally? Think it will be better since got local warranty, you order from taobao anything you have to send back to China.
*
Agreed on this one, local warranty is better. tongue.gif

but... refer to top, scare he only got RM250 per person, if he buy 1 for himself and 1 for his sis

hi guys i was told to come here to seek advice frm u all.

I am looking for a keyboard that is nice to typed (smooth and no jammed key),
But got requirement is tat dun want it to be noisy (too much clicky sound)

best is it got wireless

My budget is within RM300.
*
Budget within RM300, is Ducky, add a RM50 is Leopold, add another RM50 is Filco.

Wireless not available anymore, In Old time, Filco do offer wireless mechanical keyboard, but they Axed the product. and it's not available anymore.

QUOTE(Hoshiyuu @ Dec 2 2011, 02:39 PM)
Didnt someone mention a 250-ish FCR200/300?

I believe it is RM150ish, that is FC200R LITE which uses ALPS switch.

Hm... must be quality stuff then.

For me, i just use sticker papers, transparent sticker, and elbow grease to make my own custom keycaps. 1.50+ for a keycap is way out of my league XD
*
but those will not last forever, you should grab some doubleshot, they are really long lasting. i mean, they will probably last until you die. OR you smash the keycap into pieces. They will last forever unless your finger skin rough like sandpaper and sweat acid tongue.gif tongue.gif

Edit : Fixed

Hi guys, im the one asking opinion on mecha kb yesterday from taobao.

I agree that get locally is better, any recommandation whr to get locally and which type? Im still new, just point me one(dun ask me technically) so i can get started ok? I trust you guys biggrin.gif

like i say budget 500, do gaming but this is not priority as i light gamer. Would prefer it to looks pretty

also regarding taobao one, is there some really cheap one that can only get in taobao and recommended? Would like to put one in my office too. Would prefer not too noisy
*
i saw you mention sis in the previous post, you mean you will be sharing the keyboard with your sister?

For doing gaming and typing, chit chatting, casual use and not noisy. We will recommend keyboard that are using Cherry MX Brown or Red switch.

There are quite a few keyboard that are available to you. But do you prefer backlit keyboard?(since i saw you mention about prefer it to looks pretty).
As a word of "pretty" has different taste between all members, so i think it's quite hard for us to say which are pretty, since most keyboard looks practically the same in black colors with white font, different shape casing designs and layout and with or without backlit feature.
except razer blackwidow which is entirely a different design.

Ducky Shine (with backlit features, looks quite nice)
Filco majestouch(limited edition more pretty, since you got enough budget, you can grab one)
Leopold FC500 (it's just a classic plain looking, Red,Blue,Black available, brown out of stock)
Razer Blackwidow expert or ultimate (they have the looks and bling bling, but poor QC)
Steelseries 6gv2 (cherry mx black only for now, but i think i heard some one mention mx red version is coming? not sure, someone please confirm this.)
CMStorm Rapidfire (it's tenkeyless, i heard quite nice, mx red, personally cannot confirm it thou)

These are the one that are locally available with local warranty. if i miss out any product that is available in malaysia with local warranty, please suggest it. thanks everyone.
RM 500 is a very good budget.

Few members here mention that it is possible to get it at local shop to fit onto their keyboard. it is possible for me to provide o-rings from my suppliers,

but i hope members here success in finding suitable o-rings locally in malaysia,
If it's successful, they will be much easier to find if it's available locally. plus you can just go to a store and grab it without online order and paying extra to the shipping/courier.

Doubleshot Blank Keycaps are not existed seriously, and you seriously wanted to wait for good quality keycaps, please wait for Devlin to reply me.

btw, anyone interested in some Cables that some of the OTDmania korean modder uses?
http://www.lindy.co.uk/1m-usb-2-cable-type...rent/31684.html
I don't know if they will available in locally or not, i'm finding still.

They do not provides you any kind of beneficial on performance. But i do prefer a better quality cable for daily use and swapping keyboards for testing purpose.

One of the few main reasons are if you're using laptop, or always plug/unplug USB cable, or just swapping keyboards in a routine.
cable heads are always exposed to sweats which is one of the main reason it rusted and reusing it will just cause damage to the the female plug which is your mobo usb female plug.

But the main point of this are... "I WANT TO HAVE WHAT THE KOREANS HAVE!" cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

I found Taiwan PCHome sells them.
http://www.pcstore.com.tw/lindyasia/M07174627.htm 10 Years of Warranty!?
http://www.pcstore.com.tw/lindyasia/M07335305.htm 25 Years of Warranty!? WTF!?

Anyway, the normal cost RM10~15 while the premium cable cost RM25~35.

but sadly, it seems like it doesn't ship out from Taiwan. Anyone has any relative in Taiwan that are coming back to Malaysia for tumpang buy some cables?
I do have a friend in taiwan that i can call him tumpang, but he's only coming back at January. wanna make a big tumpang? brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif

Additional Info : For you guys that notice, some Korean has their own self modded custom USB cable. You need to register a ID to view it. Below are the link, He's planning to produce some quantities and sells to korean, i have a bad feeling it won't be cheap thou.

I think this type of cable find able at lowyat? from cheap to expensive also have why need so hard to find from outside country
MIni USB is very common using around camera and Micro USB is almost available at most of nokia phone/SE phone if not wrong. So i dont think it is hard to find this cable i even get my a RM 8 Micro usb for my SE phone.
*
yeah, i do know that they are available everywhere, there are even available in taiping local computer shop for RM10.

it's just that, i don't want to deal with rusted plug, since my place is quite humid, a lot of my stuff that rusted in very fast rate. few of my chapayam cable and 3.5mm audio jack also rusted doh.gif doh.gif .

i do keep in mind to have a dry cloth stand by to wipe them after using, but still rust too, hate chap-ayam quality, the quality they provided are too random, sometimes decent enough to surprise you, sometimes crap enough to make you swear.

A few chinese told me that the keyboard does not have have top casing. and no metal plate to reinforce. it's just cherry mx switch with 5 pin to hold it. i have my doubt on this keyboard.

one drop of sweat or water is enough to KO this keyboard.
