Station 1 is a good choice.
we should start checking out bars with Unifi connection. dont need to be very famous bar, just a small one will do. then we can proceed to talk to the owner. cuz as long as they optimize it for 1 stream, i bet it will suffice. |

The most important factor without a doubt would be accessibility, we need to get place that can be easily reached by people ALL OVER MALAYSIA LOLOLOLOLOL.

It's up to commitment to come down and join the event/tournament. For example MLG, every tournament also they organize at different place but still got ppl come all the way from (?) to the place. And of course impossible u guys want to held sc2 events at the northern states right? |

Yeah exactly, I'm just pointing out the fact that it will be impossible to cater the entire sc2 audience in the whole of Malaysia. So I'm assuming the first Barcraft will be probably held somewhere around KL, where (hopefully) MOST of the SC2 crowd resides in.
Which brings us to the next question, which part of KL would be most accessible to the people of Selangor? The city centre of KL would be quite impractical for a lot of us as the traffic congestion is just simply stupid. I was thinking somewhere around Damansara, Subang Jaya or maybe even Bangsar. *Edit; QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Nov 3 2011, 11:49 PM) Thanks for posting such constructive comments mate, much appreciated This post has been edited by KepalaRadio: Nov 3 2011, 11:57 PM |

Dont think so cause the general mentality of Malaysians still think games are for kiddies.
If there is one in Malaysia, i am going for it, especially some tournament finals. Watching Starcraft competitive matches are far more exciting than any sports for me. |

QUOTE(yuvster @ Nov 3 2011, 12:17 PM) Well said dear sir (points up).. The thing right now is that at the way Malaysians view professional gaming, we should just build Barcraft up. Start off by a few friends meeting up and watching GSL/MLG at someone's house, at least we know that the internet connection would be up to a certain standard and the videos CAN be watched. Sincerely doubt we'll have a decent enough internet connection in public places cause somehow somewhere there will be some clown piggybacking on the connection and hogging all the internet streaming speed. Penang here Penang here, I can ask my friends to join too. Use my stream bcos I subscribed d, can watch HQ. GSL final will be interesting event to watch together. But I like the Barcraft idea, I love to drink and during the time btwn the match, we can go find other girls to chit chat. With SC2 here, I might just got another new dimension of chatting topic with them. COOL!I like the idea though. Getting a bunch of people together to watch GSL and with everyone chipping in, it's going to cost nothing and having company when watching a good game is just awesome fun. I just need to find someone in Penang who shares the same level of interest.. |

At the moment due to hesitation from Bars to actually host it. It looks like pavillion is the most likely location. (Connections).
I know its not greatly accessible so no need to complain at me Also pavillion gives great exposure to boost starcraft in Malaysia, and help e-sports grow. As the human traffic there is far greater than the likes of subang or damansara. Now to be blunt about things in Malaysia. (its same in australia) No matter what anyone does, some people will never be satisfied. So its best to ignore the complaints unless they are event related such as "i was beaten up by cobo for saying his pvp sux". That is a true issue. A whine about the location, is not necessary, because its very HARD to get something professional set up in e-sports in malaysia due to cultural and image issues. So we need to support e-sports in any way possible, no matter where or when, just try to support, either via watching streams or being on the field watching live. It all helps in every way. I will update you guys if i get a final confirmation for a venue, then we can plan the invasion! |

Let's do it at FXO team house? We get beers and food from supermarket and share it during the event, I believe everyone will be satisfied as the cost of spending is cheaper, we can even have barbecue during all this..and most importantly if boss doesnt mind.
However it might not representing the title of 'barcraft' which should be held in bar but the substantial purpose for it will be satisfied in a way, which is gathering people from around the town and have fun watching people play starcraft and do what we normally like to do, drink beers and bbq, for this instance, even under age fellows can have alcohol without any restriction.
