what do you think about dota 2 compare to hon? i feel like hon is much much more better. summore entertaining with badmouthing and taunt lol.

i still havent played dota2 so can't really say. but if dota2 have the same animation speed with dota then i think it will feel heavy and sluggish compared to hon. can notice this from watching the replay vids.

Yes. Dota 2 has the same animation as Dota 1. Except that Dota 1 map has a larger scale. For me, Dota 2 feels very heavy and slow. Having phase boots activated in Dota 2 is like 340 speed in HoN.

Just by looking a the live play the graphics look lousy compared to hon and the game speed is slower than hon.

Agreed with the game speed of Dota 2 being slower than HoN.

But Dota 2 has better graphics than Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends. Dota 2 has high textures and cloth animation, and you can see squirrels, worms, butterfly on Dota 2 maps, which makes it more lifely. Examples, when you go to the shop at the outer post, you can see bats flying around. The water reflection in Dota 2 is awesome. Heroes textures are very clear and sharp.

Re-playability of Dota 2 is not high for me. I only played 20 rounds of Dota 2 in the first week of getting the access to Dota 2. After that, I stop playing Dota 2. I prefer HoN gameplay. More ganks and more trash talking in HoN, and with the variety of announcers and taunts and SmackDowns, HoN is still the best.

sadly to say you can't "buy the full game" anymore. newer players have no choice but to unlock each heroes one by one. and if you are considering cash to unlock all heroes it costs multiple times the price of the full game back when it was sold. but sometimes there are promotions like the one during christmas where u can unlock almost all the heroes available at that time at a dirt cheap price (around 10 bucks if im not mistaken)

those who bought the game back then (30 usd, 10 usd during promo) now have a Legacy account; allowed to use all heroes except EA ones for free, allowed to create game with any modes, can play verified only games and i dunno what else.

EA stands for Early Access. if S2 adds a new hero under EA then that hero is not accessible to Legacy players for a month unless they purchase them. after one month of the release time that hero's EA status is removed and they will be able to be played by Legacy players for free. usually EA heroes got an EA only limited edition alt avatar for people who buy the hero during it's EA period.

HoN is better than Dota 2... Dota 2 feels very sluggish. Dota 2 has better graphics though. The gameplay is just too smooth in HoN. Can't stand the slow animations and game speed in Dota 2

Download HoN installer from Int site.
Install it and see if you can update it.
If can't, then proceed to dowload Hotspot Shield from this site.

Connect Hotspot Shield and run HoN Int to update it or to login.
Play with 300-500ms ping BUT its playable.
When u r done playing, disconnect Hotspot Shield.


i am having near 300ms these few days while my friend using Penangfon having <200ms
playing slow heroes like Andromeda and Defiler makes them look even more sluggish >.<

I used to be a farmer like all of you, but then I took an arrow in the knee.

I start to play Casual Mode only, hardcore ganking, build arcane ring as early item.

For me, farming game is boring...

i think every creep camp will spawn at x:00, provided there's no units/wards/corpses in the area. what type of camp spawned is randomized based on tier.
