Coming soon for another next bulk. Should be another 3 to 6 units from Gary.
No comment on the others DIY amp. Those who know what they want definitely will get Gary's amp.
100 hours with NiMH batteries. If using with 2700 latest technology it might be able hit more than 150 hours.

i was wondering about the burn-in process,
do i burn in the headphone and the amp at flat equalizer settings?
or do i burn them in my prefered environment?
would the results differ, do i get a more 'personalized' burned headphone if i play with the settings first?

also, what if the songs played did not utilize the full frequency range of the speaker? wouldnt that make the burnin process not complete or inefficient?

anyway, quick comparison when using the amps,
im using hp400 + pa2v2 + onboard sound, system specs are in my siggy..

1. slight increase in low frequency sounds,
2. some extra sounds from instruments and background can be heard, which are not even audible before using the amp.

however i havent tried cranking up the volume yet, not really sure how high should i set the volume and the amp's gain for burnin. i read somewhere that mentioned burn-in should be done at a higher volume than normal usage, but im not sure and not doing this..

btw, wheres the feedback from hp89x users?

Higher volume with full base will making it works to the best in short time but you need an un-amplified small speakers to do it. Most prefer those cheap unwanted multimedia speakers tongue.gif.

If you like to enjoy the burn-in process, just listening through out extended period you may notice the difference soon. smile.gif
