QUOTE(dinodog_Jr @ Sep 17 2006, 06:41 PM) This is so bad.. I really like Pa2v2. Perhaps Gary still finding a way to make PA2V2 even sounds better and efficient. PA2V2 is already near to perfect product.

Actually still running it off the rechargeable. Not yet decided how to charge it yet. Trying to find a spare 3V DC adapter somewhere. Failing that I am heading off to Jalan Pasar to find an adapter, possibly regulated ones.
Currently using it on my old MPIO MP3 player. I can hear a lot more details than previously.
In the past I could only use Alkaline batteries on the MP3 player because it sounded terrible if I use rechageables. Now this problem is gone.
I am still using a Panasonic in-canel ear phone with this MP3. Will pair it with a full size headphone when I find a suitable one.

Initial voltage for Alkaline battery is 1.6v to 1.7v, that's why you hearing boosted volume and also most of the digital player with AA or AAA battery design would be running at 1.5v as norminal current instead of 1.2v like rechargeabl NiMH.

DAViS, question regarding the 3.5mm cable included in the package. Is it a generic cable ? My next step is to find a better (perhaps shorter) interconnect.
I manage to locate a way to re-charge. My MW brand Ni-Mh charger actually has a mode to act as AC-DC adapter. It comes with a 2.5mm male plug too. So I will use this for now.

Original cable included by Gary. So far no audiophile's grade company make that kind of cable (yet?) Don't forget to set the correct polarity.

Also considering custom building a cable.
I did measure the polarity before plugging in the AC adapter. The scary part of this is that there is no sign whether the charging has started.
There is of course also no telling when the battery is full. I guess you can't exactly ask for this kind of feature in a portable amp. (perhaps a feature to be considered for V3)

I guess you can't exactly ask for this kind of feature in a portable amp. (perhaps a feature to be considered for V3) Very simple, just take out your battery cells and use the amp to power it up. The more "advance" or complicated of your circuit design the sound quality would be polluted with more interference. Same like some of the very high end system their system sounds damn good but the circuit design very simple. Like GoldMund power amp only using 7 components in their amp

Probably not the best place to ask. But anyways, will it be possible for you, Davis to organise a bulk for the Go-Vibe 5 Amp? Here's a link http://www.go-vibe-headphoneamp.com

Here's a link http://www.go-vibe-headphoneamp.comThe price still not able to beat PA2v2. 1. DC 9v rechargeable vs 1.2v x 2 AA. 2. Up to 75 opearing hours. 3. Bigger size & looks heavier. 4. Lifetime warranty like PA2V2? 5. More expensive than PA2V2. 6. Sonic performance = unkown If you want to organize, I can help you to arrange but you champion the thread. OK?

Operates for 30 to 40 hours on 9V Batt No lifetime warranty Customer service not as great as Gary's
However, sonic perfomance is said to beat PA2V2 (that's why we all buy amps, eh?)
I really do appreciate your help but I'm pretty tied up now with examinations right now.
Any takers to organise and manage a Go-Vibe Bulk?
