Thank you. My 2nd job let me learned a lot. Wire harnessing is sap sap sui to me, there are more complicated 80 points gold finger soldering job and also a water measuring project let me learn alot on how to solder platinium up to very beautiful and neat solder job. tongue.gif (A bit boasting for some people)

My friend told me he need sometimes to pass to me, shall call him later as this is low priority stuff.

I was thinking that instead we get the amp, why not we draw the power from USB socket?

Use your imagination.

USB male plug type A + OFC cable (may be as expensive as we can laugh.gif) + 2.5mm mono plug.

Hehe... I think I going to make one, so anybody feel interesting? May be I can make 100pcs supply back to Gary as alternative solutions. hehe laugh.gif

Hmm.. pc power might fluctuate abit.. duno if it might effect the amp anot even though the amp uses the battery as buffer?

USB supply 5v and the amp only require 3v with 200mA. Just put in a resistor to reduce the voltage. Even the fluctuating voltage won't hurt the amp as the batteries already work as buffer.

My comment on the potentiometer for Gary -
QUOTE
...To be honest, Borne potentiometer does creating some noticeable static
> noise when you are playing it. May be you can improve on this...

Gary replied back -
QUOTE
...When the amplifiers are brand new, you can hear a little static as the volume knob is turned. Over time, this noise reduces and sometimes completely goes away.
This static noise is a consequence of my design, which actually keeps the volume knob out of the audio signal's path.

If I put the potentiometer into the audio signal path, then the scratching noise goes away, but then the audio signal is degraded for the entire time that music is playing. I thought it would be best to have the amp make a little noise only when the knob is turned, but to have the best sound when the knob was set...
