yeah everyone should go upgrade to 25GB for free before its too late...i upgraded mine already

awesome!....mine still "under testing" when i called them yesterday...apparently the GPS worked one day but then didnt work the next day so its back to testing...i forgot to ask if they changed the part but i told them again to do it..so

nokia care just called me! phone is ready to collect! motherboard changed!


cant wait to go get it tomorrow

got my phone back and its working!!! full GPS satellite mode!!

tested a little while walking on nokia drive 1.0 and it was working fine and GPSinfo managed to track my speed and everything fine





now i have to go through the process of reinstalling all the apps back one by one

about 2 weeks could be less if they don't do too much "Testing"

you should keep telling/demand them you want the motherboard changed if not you going to get the "software upgrade" which will take about one week and wont solve anything because its a hardware issue.

just stress to them that its a hardware issue, showing them the photo bro dausjkach shared wont hurt either

the skin you mean the coloured back covers or the rubber protective case?...

if its the protective case its not worth it lol..i got one at the last pc fair for rm20 and its not that great...all the buttons are hard to press and it becomes extra hard to press the camera button properly...i had to cut a little of the joints of the buttons to make it easier to press also not as grippy as i hoped it be.. oh well better than nothing hope to see other brands casing for sale soon..

yeah, i hope it will will help as many people solve their problem too...another chap on nokia forums got his phone fixed after i passed him my work order number because his local nokia care technician in johor didnt believe that the gps works in offline mode

i think this is part of their standard operating procedure that first try software fix then only if that doesnt work, test for hardware issue. since everyone who tried also got the "software upgrade/update"

i dont know about that one, have you try the official nokia store?...or maybe you could try the chargers for htc phones since the cable should be the same... but do test first before buying..

you could try going into setting in the people hub, then click on filter contact lists, and from there find which one has your contacts on it,

im sure there is a way to do it since mine only shows sim contacts but i am so sorry i cant remember how i did it

yes you can, but you must edit the the mp3 so that it is a ringtone file and it must be below 1mb

was it working before you update? cannot function well meaning, not accurate also? does it say looking for GPS?...


try download the GPSinfo application from marketplace... then test outdoor, if it says A-GPS only and you dont get full GPS, data from satellite mode. then your GPS receiver maybe faulty. if so no choice but to send to nokia care for warranty. look a few pages back for the photo from bro dausjkach (page 16), it will help show the difference
