QUOTE(edwinlcw @ Feb 18 2012, 05:35 PM) I'll just give them the receipt, they really can't expect the sticker to still be there under normal use. The case is too smooth for the sticker to stay, and also.. it's so exposed to the elements.Also.. did you see the OTHER sticker on the back of the SIM tray? |

I guess you an add it to the dictionary.how to stop text input from correcting itself? i.e ada, it's correcting to are; leh, to leg; shppin(which meant shopping), to shipping.. gosh, how to stop that other then change typing lang to MSL? - open an app with text entry - type 'leh' DO NOT PRESS space - tap on the word 'leh' - when it highlights notice on the auto correct bar there's a + beside the word, press the + to add it into the dictionary. |

QUOTE(Nightengale @ Feb 20 2012, 10:21 AM) Someone over at Microsoft Malaysia needs to be slapped for not seriously telling Microsoft Global that Malaysia has multi-language needs. I think their operation mode is to select the 'primary' language for interaction in the country. Which actually for Malaysia we have many so called primary languages. |

QUOTE(edwinlcw @ Feb 21 2012, 02:34 PM) sorry.. maybe i should rephrase my sentence.. let say now my LiveID region is singapore, and later on, i switch the region to malaysia and reset my phone then reconfigure the phone with the same LiveID but in Malaysia region, will i still get the apps purchased in my apps list? You can switch the phone's region and search region from settings, but to Marketplace, you are still Singapore cause the Live ID is singapore. As long as you're using the same Live ID, you can just redownload the app. |

QUOTE(edwinlcw @ Feb 21 2012, 04:51 PM) i see... just login to the url you given.. i only got the xbox live account.. is that right?? Yes, you'll see your XBL billing info, which is pretty much the same thing that is used for performing transactions on the phone. You should be able to edit your CC in the page somehwere. If not just goto live.xbox.comand yes.. is it tight to singapore region and can't change it.... how to update my payment info there like cc info? |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 22 2012, 09:35 AM) Photography mate Since you've been taking some much photos, I wonder if you noticed that the default shooting mode is set to MACRO?This weekend i will have another cosplay shoot there will be more samples coming. This the problem of most review in the market they set the standard so low when someone else set the standard higher people is unable to believe. Its suppose to be the other way around set the standard high and slowly bring it lower. Added on February 22, 2012, 9:37 am Yea i read about that before. its not actually 8MP but higher. Cause on my wife's Lumia I was looking around the settings and saw that Macro was set even though I didn't do anything to it. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 22 2012, 10:18 AM) yeah but if u notice if the phone fail to focus it will bounce back without effecting your shot. Or if u have a specify settings u prefer set it then on top choose save settings and everytime u turn on the camera your setting you choose will be default. Yeah, I know about putting the mode to default, but not right that it's on Macro mode by default lar.Added on February 22, 2012, 10:20 am |

Have you taken a video recording with your Nokia Lumia 800? Did it look like crap and made you wondered what the heck is going on? Why don't you read this thread and see if this solves your problem.

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Feb 29 2012, 09:10 AM) Mentioned this before, as below: Hmm... let me go back and test it a bit more, basically what I'm seeing is that autofocus isn't engaged. So whenever it decides NOT to auto focus, you can just go into the camera settings, toggle it off and on again and it'll start focusing again. Don't need to restart the phone. If not wrong, there is a bug in video recording; I never really do video recording, but I read about this bug. The first time you take a video, it will auto-focus. Once it lock, it will lock forever until you restart the phone |

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Feb 29 2012, 11:26 AM) I just tested this. Seems it's working, but slow and need static or non-moving object for it to auto-focus. I test this on my workdesk, it was able to auto-focus on different objects albeit it took some time. Well, that would mean bad choice of focus subject made by camera, not locked focus till you restart phone. So.. not too bad. If moving object, I think will have problem as I remember I tried once, the focus was lock at close range, and I was trying to record something further away and it was all blurred, lol. |

QUOTE(billygoh @ Mar 5 2012, 07:08 AM) last night i fully charged my phone before sleep. I think the other thing to check is are you using the official Facebook app? under settings, is Run Under Screen Lock turned on? If it is, and you leave the app as the focused app (by going to standby when the app is active) It'll keep polling in the background drinking power.this morning i woke up, the babttery life is 65%. this is ridiculous..hope next update will fix this problem.. |

Don't worry if you don't see any updates. It's the phased roll out style so not everyone gets it at the same time.

Nokia Drive and Maps updated, if you haven't gottent the notification yet. Go to Markatplace -> Nokia Applications. Tap on the apps, the button available should be UPDATE if the new version has been pushed to the server (Singapore server is in already)
If you have previous downloaded maps for drive under Settings for Nokia drive, you need to delete and redownload again to get POI info, this is from what I tested. |
