Guys, any idea why my aircond is not getting cold when my car is not warm up.

For example, i warm up my car in the morning before driving to work, so the aircond is working fine. In the noon when i wanna go for lunch, i straight drive without warm up and the aircond is not getting cold, just warm air. But when i'm on my way back from lunch, the aircond is working fine again.

Really need some advice here.

Check whether the gas is sufficient, and whether the fan is working...

Gas is sufficient and the fan is working..Don't know what is the main culprit..
I bring to air cond specialist to check before but when i reach there, my air cond is working fine..Causing them to be unable to check what actually is the problem.. sad.gif

Guys, will our engine auto shut down when there isn't enough engine oil?...

Recently my car will shut down (i mean straight off itself without jerking) when i wanna accelerate the car after the traffic light turn green or want to turn at a junction. It is very dangerous as i might get a kiss at the back anytime. There is once the engine shut down when i halfway through a corner (i step on the clutch and some braking) and almost go in the drain as the power steering is super heavy. doh.gif

Do you notice any signs of oil leaking on the engine?
Btw, 2600 posts liaw, isn't it time for a new thread?
*
No oil drip on the floor..i've look around the engine and didn't find any oil leaking (Maybe there is some tight area that i might miss)..What other factor that could cause my engine oil to decrease?..the engine oil level reach the Min after driving like 2.5k or 3k km..will a top overhaul solve my problem?

Sometimes it's at the gasket, or oil-cap, or back of engine.
Check exhaust pipe if it is oily + wet also.

Mine previously leak through gasket near the timing belt there. Also eat engine oil like 1L every 5k km.
After top-overhaul + change gasket , problem solve.
*
How much u pay for your top-overhaul + gasket?

here is some info on the top overhaul pricing :

top set gasket may vary on the quality = rm100+
piston ring = rm80+
o/c cam = rm60+
o/c cranshaft = rm20+
o/c flwel = rm20+
oil pump gasket = rm40+
cut the cranshaft = rm180
conrod bearing = rm65
conrod (schd) = rm85
engine oil (max oil) = rm70+
oil filter/ air filter = rm10/rm100+
gear oil = rm30+ (2 l)
grand valve = rm60+
plugs = rm25+ 4 pcs

if water pump damaged add rm65+

about rm800+ base cost without oil and treament and service charge. normally the pricing will be around rm1.5k, depends on what brand are they using wink.gif

for the piping is really up to you, but i prefer 4 - 1 extractor for altering the mid - high rpm and topspeed. 4 - 2 -1 setup is for low - mid rpm wink.gif also the piping size for the 4g15 should be around 1.7-1.8 for the engine breathing flow. also don't forget bout the midbox and bullet. me personally use 2 midbox. ask the experienced exhaust guy for details and recommendation.

The above is all needed for top overhaul?..

Guys, lets say if my air con fan fail and the aircon is blowing warm air when the car stop, will this situation cause the compressor to be overload?...when the compressor overload, will it automatically shut off the car (need crank again to drive)?

Won't shut off the car.
Problem is, the compressor is working non-stop.
Also the heat fail to dissipate (without fan).
Air cond faster spoil, compressor fail, radiator crack, etc. more money fly away at workshop.
I suggest to send to workshop/aircond to replace the fan/motor.

Don't know why my car like to shut off when i wanna accelerate..For example, i stop while the traffic light is red, i engage Gear 1 and step on the clutch and break, when i wanna start accelerate, my car will shut off, sometime just step on the clutch and brake to make a corner also will shut off..it just shut off without vibrate..sometime i didn't notice until when i want to come out of a junction...damn dangerous...wonder what could be the problem?... sad.gif

If engine oil already lower than the min, car will shut off?

The shop i usually go for engine oil change quote me RM110 for cleaning the TB + Reset ECU + Fuel filter (if not mistaken its)...is this a reasonable price?...
As my car is at his workshop right now, so thinking of servicing the TB if the price is okay...

Cleaning TB even if use the famous brand 3bond is only RM45.. Fuel filter should be 2x.. reset ecu you can even do it yourself.. remove your battery terminal for few minutes and connect it back.. ECU reset to default.

hi all.. my wira aircond.. will stop blowing cool air if the car is stalled for like 10mins under the hot sun (imagine ur waiting for someone in the car outside their house). the air that comes out will be like normal fan.. but once i started driving again, the cool air will blow again..

any idea why and anyone experienced it before?
*
The possibility are your condenser fan got problem or your relay got problem. Try check your fan is spinning or not. Previously i was having the same problem. I just replace the relay and everything is working fine again... biggrin.gif

relay? is it expensive to get it replaced? and u dont think its the gas/aircond need servicing? do u know how much for normal aircond servicing?
*
If its been very long time since the last time u service, u can send for service also but that's up to you...
I just replaced with original Denso relay at RM65 each...Don't know if i kena chop or not...But their service is good, so i'm willing to pay..and they give me 6 months warranty for the relay...there is still cheaper than RM65 relay...its all up to your budget...But as for servicing only, i'm not sure how much...cause the last time i service my air con with other repair...i think should be below RM150 if no parts required to be replace...

Check Steering Rack Bush...
Original VS SuperPro
[attachmentid=2906069]

Otherwise u need to check our lower arm...even rim too big when go thru uneven road also will....
*
I'm currently on 15" rim with 195/50/R15...whats the diff between Original vs SuperPro?...how much u bought for the SuperPro?...our car need only 2 right?...

Sometime when i turn left at low speed, there is some kind of "tok tok tok" sound heard on the right side...wonder what could that be...any idea?...

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Jun 21 2012, 04:57 PM)
Sometimes due to road uneven, it'll auto-pull.
My aligned car also like that all the while. My alignment & balancing all ok.

Try on flat even road. Aligned car straight while driving 60-80.
Lift both hand from steering slightly. The car should go straight.
If not, send to tyre workshop for alignment.
*
My concern is only my wira will auto-pull...if i drive my kancil on that same road, my kancil didn't auto-pull...
