TB saids my phone not rooted, while i just flash into checkrom, full wipe!
using root check, seems like my su binary file location is not proper, even do su update also will failed.

would it void official Samsung warranty if we flash it to custom ROM?

yea, just did it, full wipe, without installing siyah 2.0, everything seems fine... but with kernel 2.0, turn on speed was like right after the samsung SII animation, while this one wait for like 20sec. :S

so can i install the siyah 2.0 now?

guys, finally got the battery performance result.

mine got 24% juice left after 2 days and 5 hour of battery use. refer to the screen shots attached.

for me, it doesn't matter what battery capacity you use. your usage is the main factor that will decide your battery juice lasting power.

so now, depends on you guys if it worth it to buy the 2000mAH extended battery kit from Samsung at RM139/set.

yeah, i use data connection intermittently. like i said before, battery longevity depends on our usage. this review is just a basic guide lines in buying the 2000mAh battery.

if the 3500mAH mugen battery is easily available in lowyat, i'll go and buy it instead of 2000mAH.

I agree with you, my single core 1ghz HD2 which is not even suppose to run android can run almost all apps/games in the market smoothly.

Just that I see no point in UC as the governor/kernel we use knows how to control the cpu. If you run 100 - 1200 mhz and look at cpuspy, 1.2 ghz usage is totally insignificant compared to 800mhz or 500mhz. So my point is there is no purpose in UC as we are not fully using 1.2ghz all the time. It won't reduce heat much as it does not stick to 1.2ghz.

Yeah beta 13 gave me similar drain of 2%. Now trying beta 14.

siyah kernel 2.1 b9, cm7.1 rc 1, airplanemode, 2 days 23 hours on battery , 77% of battery left. WTF!!!?? i'll post pictures when the battery dies.

Try brazilian wax. It is the best governor in terms of smoothness. 
But i think will not go well with your batt philosophy

I have no idea how to last 3 days because i cannot put down the phone.    Normally my batt will last just 1 day with moderate use of about 4 - 5 hours screen time.

it was dated 8 oct 11 so i tot quite recent. so if 2.3.5. can root, just root it like the normal procedure rooting other GB version right?
thanks antt, i really needd that confirmation cuz most ppl say they install wat rom wat rom ON GB 2.3.4 so i worry got requirement of wat GB version. so tonight i will go to custom roms for first time hehe

i wan beter perf so likely il go for touch x, i think fully odexed is better for me as i less appeal to customization but more perf.
