their fuel memang good. At least powerful enough to counter back the heaviness of Syntium. But top end power not as good as BhP.

regardless of fuel, top speed remains the same, but the amount of time it takes to reach top speed is different.

try to observe if your throttle response is very unresponsive and exceptionally high FC (high as in maybe 6-7km/L). If you're facing both, means IAFM kong, but highly unlikely it happen on new cars unless you abuse the car kao kao like me since day 1. lol

when normal idling, the IAFM also got produce sound akin to diesel lorry, but if it is really spoilt, the sound is louder especially after morning cold start.

Refer the video on first post. Basically, the intake there got very loud tak tak tak tak sound macam diesel lorry sound when cold start. When after move a few KM, the sound will eventually be lower. Other syntomps include, sluggish engine response and exceptionally high FC.

Not limited to Persona only. Basically any Proton with IAFM memang akan kena this issue especially those 2008-2009 models.

The 1.3 can easily do 140kmh
Already done 140 a few times within a month of ownership.
But going so fast, there's a price to pay. My Saga FLX CVT biggest problem right now is having no problem at all.
