Hi guys,

I'll be getting my Saga FLX 1.3 Manual Elegant Brown very soon.

Any advice for me to reach 1000km within 3 months before the warranty period. Why? As I usually drive my motorbike to work everyday. (Save fuel cost/toll/parking). Even including going for some entertainment on Sat&Sun on my motorbike. Why? Same reason.

The only reason I can think of is going back to hometown but I'm afraid it might exceed 1000km and void the warranty.
*
1,000km or 3 months, 5,000km or 6 months, 10,000km or 9 months is the free service (labour only) interval. As long as your car is serviced by an authorized Proton service center personnel, your car will still have warranty period of 3 years or 50,000km; whichever comes first.

Thanks,and,what is "10w-40" thing?  hmm.gif
*
viscosity index. Measurement of how thick is the oil which will affect the flowing speed of the oil.

and also, not all service center allows you to bring own lube. Some permits and some will void your warranty.

The 10w refers to winter viscosity rating, which doesn't affect us in Malaysia or other tropical countries.

full syn although technically could last 10k km, but the oil filter doesn't.

In the end, it will still be damaging towards the engine. Even if using full syn, recommended is to change every 7k/8k. No matter how good is the engine oil, it will still deteriorate when accumulate mileage.

just change the filter every 5k...no problem
those good oil usually sold in 5L bottle....use 4L...change filter...add on
*
if you want to change oil filter every 5k km, but wish to change engine oil at every 10k km, wouldn't it be better if you change oil at every 5k km?

It promotes better engine longevity since fresh oil is always better than used oil.

should be FLX 1.6 vs Lagi Power Lagi Best!
*
FLX 1.6 vs LPLB
FLX 1.3 vs LB

then only it would be a fair comparison.

and Area51SE, did the person who do the comparison test in your thread owns both FLX and Myvi LB?

you will notice sudden decrease in engine and throttle response due to the ECU is readjusting the air and fuel ratio to mix.

but even after the ECU has set the optimum set up for RON95, you wont have the same vroom vroom power when using RON97. So you will feel it is a bit underpower since you're used to the performance that RON97 offers and you have to leave with it.

A little bit of both, I actually tried napping in the showroom before booking one  rclxm9.gif  I thought it was comfy enough, Last night actually sleep at RnR, need to adjust seat height. Now need to add pillow  cool2.gif
*
oh, RNR

well, that because in the Persona, you're sitting low slug style, your legs are stretches a bit further, hence a more relaxed position to sleep. In the Saga, the seating position is straight up like sitting on an office chair. Everybody should know how crappy is sleeping on an office chair. lol

and what are the basic mods to improve the car performances? blush.gif

been read alot about air filter that you all discuss at a few pages back,is it one of the basic mods?

sorry for the noob here.. blush.gif

basic ones would be air filter and exhaust system. And by exhaust system, it means the whole exhaust system, not muffler only. Nanti bunyi je ada performance tak tambah.

Correct me if i am wrong.
1st car too smile.gif

my car already arrive even before I sign the HP agreement. I guess it depends on the dealer. My dealer order first then only settle the HP and JPJ later. Some even keep stock first which explains they have ready stock.

Fix Strut bars and Anti Roll Bars lor. Can solve this matter.
*
Can't help much, maybe reduce by 10-20% only. And the suspension will koyak eventually.

Best is to change the whole suspension system if you want zero body roll, which is going to cost a bomb.
