kinda disappointed with the price...
razr MAXX is basically dual core phone with bigger battery and same spec with razrr.
same generation with galaxy 2 but got price like new phone.

at rm1834, u can get htc 1x, the quad core phone which also got great design and superior spec. and camera or xperia s which is also good.

well, the only winning point over other phone is BIG battery so very suitable for standby phone.

razr came out with 1999 price tag. maxx priced at 1788 with double the battery power. i say the price is ok. it is not about the spec, it is about the extra battery.

what do you want to do with quad core phone anyway?

Huh. Razr spec is last year. Maxx 1788 with double battery power is much more than, say, S2 with extra battery pack. And it's not like Razr is a popular phone (at least not here). Don't see anything much going for Maxx.

I wonder what does Quad core Phone can do at this moment as we are not fully utilized dual core phone and further more dual core with extra battery, I say OOYAAAA at least we can have battery lasting at least two or three days max for our usages..

My view I will go for Razr Maxx now instead HOX because quad core consume battery like water.. not even one full day (Info that I get from fren of mine who using HOX for past two weeks or so.)

Acctually in terms of quality build moto was the best.. but again just becoz of bootloader locked it become less dev choice .. for me i really like moto quality.. just the downside on software update quiet slow .. even moto already advertise there will be delay upgrade for RAZR.. so what u think this MAXX will also delay get their ICS..sweat.gif

Buying Maxx for standby phone? You guys were richy rich. Just put it in flight mode at night or when you don't want to use it e.g when driving. I noticed battery life is doubled when in flight mode, since this phone uses my second SIM I don't receive text/calls frequently, about 2-3 calls/sms per week.

But I wonder, why even 2G network on standby uses so much power? I could get 2-3 days on regular uses (an hour playing video, an hour playing games etc.) in flight mode, in 2G mode it barely lasts 2 days on same usage. Perhaps the antenna is small so it needs more power to get signal?

RM1834 price tag is belonged to high end phone....
Like i said before, the only bragging point for razrr maxx is the batery life.
Anything else expect is mediocre with only design build and toughness is on par with other high end phone.

its understandable since like htc one s, its just got into malaysia market market so rrp should be high.

Persoalannya, laku ke tak 2-2 phone ni?

You forgot about kevlar coating, that material doesn't come cheap I believe tongue.gif

High end in specs for other phones, high end in built materials for this phone flex.gif

not rich la bro. just saying. cos it will last longer. 3g use more power than 2g.
but even if 2g with low coverage. the device will pump more power to suck the coverage.
in flight mode. the device no need pening2 to find the coverage. so they save a lot of power there smile.gif

just wait out a bit. 2-3 months price sure will drop like crazy, this is the norm for motorola phones in msia sad.gif ive been a long time motorola user since the original razr days.

i feel motorola was stupid to let details of the razr hd leak out so close to the SEA launch of the razr maxx. might as well wait out a bit more for the razr hd, which is rumored to hv the same battery capacity as the maxx.

actually interested to buy mid end phone like htc one s or razrr maxx....
so have already wait for quite some time.

but htc one s dissapointed me with its s3 processor and its high price.
then razrr maxx also got same price with high end phone(htc 1x)...

i thought its gonna be same price like xperia p which rrp is rm1500. if razrr maxx brag its battery life and its kevlar so xperia p could brag about its camera , screen and audio system. so should be same price.

well if got dropped quite alot before raya, maybe got this ones.
now just wanna see about huawei ascend p1... if also got high price, then i just go for s3 with contract then.

edit: just visit soyacincau.com. so the price is rm1788.

1 thing I hate about moto is the camera module choice. the camera performance in moto phones are always below others like sony and samsung.

razr maxx is made of the same material as razr..
so the RM300+ difference for a battery double the size is a bit off, when razr maxx is selling for around 360 euros, about 10 euro more than the razr...

but i hope that the razr price drop instead... laugh.gif
