QUOTE(ckk125 @ Oct 29 2011, 11:50 PM)
on D without activating the manual shifters?

for 2.0 CVT, 100km/h will be around 2k rpm and at 110km/h, 2100rpm
*
yes, using D, but once reach 100km/h, i chg to +/- to peek what gear is it.

QUOTE(K3nnYkl82 @ Oct 29 2011, 11:51 PM)
its CVT ma ... of coz low lor ..

FYI.. all auto car have lower ratio at higher speed.. excluding wira 1.5 tongue.gif
*
means 1.8MT will have worse FC compare to 1.8CVT when running 110km/h at highway for eg.?

Same with 2.0. 155kmh at 3000rpm

sleed CVT no fix ratio .. unless using manual mode..
car full load or single driver .. it will have different RPM at same speed

Added on October 29, 2011, 11:54 pmlow rpm does not neccessary contribute to low FC.. during cruise yes...
its more depends on power to load ratio
*
ya..plus, manual has less power loss compared to our CVT. our cvt uses a torque converter, hence more power loss

Yes.. if u travel highway all the time...
must take into consideration of torque converter power loss compare to manual

to be honest, i never expect 1.8mt can go so high rpm at 100km/h. my myvi 1.3 manual also got 3k rpm at 100km/h, i tot 1.8 will be much better.

so we can expect worse FC and worse NVH when cruising at highway due to high rpm compare to CVT?

yap , very low, sometimes when u revv high from 160-180 the rpm goes high, you release ur pedal a little bit.. and rpm maintain very low.. nice man.. till today, no yet see Honda 2.0, CRV,Forte tapau me from behind... kah3...

tapau you at what speed? if you intend to play with them, I don't think they can tapau that easily but can try follow you as close as possible, to me tapau is when you start pushing at 150km/h up to 200km/h and they still got the muscle to push faster than you hence overtake you easily..that's my definition la...

if you want to compare you should take into consideration the weight of the car, if you put 4B10 into Myvi I think at 100km/h only 1.5k rpm..possible?

Must take into cobsideration of stop n go.
When u do that at city drive.. cvt will takes more fuel due to the power lost by torque converter. not due to ratio.

My fren 1.8cvt fc is almost same as my 1.8mt..but im mostly in city drive.. he 50/50 highway.. And most the time he drive like ah pek.. 80km/h

btw, if FC is a concern.. dun take big car la..
I would says in term of FC for this car.. not much different.. but city drive MT slightly bettrr. marginal only
