If you have choice (which you normally do), go look for another SC.... the Proton Edar ones are very strict in this policy, try going to those dealer type SC (Senaxis in Taman Mayang PJ is one that allows top up to fully syn with $$)....

u cant counter steer with an ff car, it will fish tail instead... fr car can do that, initial d anyone?  laugh.gif

Says who...??? I have countered ff and Inspira when the back wheels start to slip....

For FF cars, the key is timing... lift off pedal, start counter, then press pedal when tail bites... it will swing the back back on track (but it prolly is 2-3 ft off the road oredi... sweat.gif sweat.gif )...

For FR cars, you pedal to the metal when the back slips, then counter.... then see the smoke trail caused by burning rubber (aka drift... rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif )...

myfm already advertise it..IMHO, they just purposely want boost 1.8 version inspira sales cz some SA say they stop production for 1.8mt & cvt already..to clear stock asap b4 year end. why proton wan stop 1.8 version inspira? i tink maybe sales not as good as 2.0cvt, hear rumor that proton just sign up 5000 unit 1.8 engine frm mitsubishi & its contract going end soon & proton dont want continue, at last maybe they want give way to persona R that going to launch next year?
hmm.gif

the inspira R3 most attractive part is the 18" rim onli i tink..haha.bodykit for me is not so attractive, cn mod myself ltr. tongue.gif
*
The rim itself is normal looking BBS copy design from Advanti.... i'd prefer to find other options outside... i can do more with the added price of 1.8MT at 1.8CVT price, no..??

BUT... if you have not gotten your car, you may wanna change to this if you can, added value ma....!!

Thanks...already called up the service center, they said we can bring our own engine oil,any brand..but they will put remark,if anything happen to our engine related to the engine oil or what, they will not responsible for it.Means warranty void la?

At first planning to get Petronas syn 5000 0w-40,but SA said too thin for our car,he suggest topup to syn 3000 which is 5w-40 with additional rm139.. ^^ will go there on this saturday for my 1st service..

Btw, i just noticed the other day...my Windshield is original Mitsubishi with the logo...doh.gif...I never noticed that...only saw the side windows with Proton logos....i wonder the new batch still got Mitsubishi windshield??

2.0 still using Mitsu windscreen due to the cut out for the rain and light sensors...

1.8 long time already Proton branded.... locally made by.... errr....

2.0P still comes with Mitsu front windscreen. Sides and back are Proton.
1.8 models are now all Proton windscreen, i think.

If I'm not mistaken, the early batches (both models) had both front and rear windscreens from Mitsu.
*
You are right, all earliest batch cars have Mitsu front and back glass....

Now only 2.0 have front Mitsu glass, all others glass are Proton ones...

actually, i dont see the need for it. the plastic sheet is ugly to start with. once there is alot of finger nail scratches, just polish it off. simple, easy and cheap
*
Yeah... my main concern is will the plastic turn color after a while as its exposed to UV rays.... but seems to be ok for some who have pasted it...

The scratches cant be removed totally.... polish simply cleans off the dirt in the scratch lines, and these lines add up over time.... so best is to be careful and trim those nails... and for us to open the doors for the women... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Yes. It's YHI group that sells those non German made Breyton branded rims, quality wise I would say good & worth it, else why would Breyton risk their brand in these rims?, been into many potholes and no issue with rims dent like those replica, after regularly do balancing and alignment checking all is still good

dun think so long, get 18" rims or nothin biggrin.gif

breyton with the silver lining ring will make ur wheel looks smaller ya due to the colour effects etc.
wedsports are mostly taiwan and common also the sa55 or sa60
*
No actually so.... the silver lining is not shiny and adds to accentuate the beauty of the rims when seen close...

When viewed from a few feet away, the whole wheel looks dark and the spokes kinda disappear....

This is the experience from seeing SothysSaleShop's BE by Breyton....

Lets breakdown the added visual improvements to the R3 for the heck of it...

Front: The front is added a full skirt + bottom lip - NEW

Side skirt uses the same (cant see clearly) uses the same as 2.0 - just painted 2 tone to match the front bottom lip. I hope they added a bottom lip (like the front) else it looks strange with 2 tones painted...

Rear spoilers: Does the R3 even have it?? Diff pics saying diff things... hope the R3 gets one...

Bodykit Price: Using PP/PU materials, prolly arnd RM2000 - 2500 (market price la).... R3 price? Closer to RM3,000

Rims: Advanti M8501 18" RM2,000 - 2500 (market price), while R3 price RM3,000

Tyres: Yoko 225/40 AR01 arnd RM500 each, while R3 price is RM750 = RM3000...

Thus the "added" bonus of RM9000....

Notice that this car dont have any discounts nor free services (these adds up to almost RM5,000 - 7,000)... so you decide if this visual improvements warrants the asking price lor...

Sien lo.. Today I go service 10k at juru sc... They change to proton filter Liao.... T_T no more Mitsubishi filter... Bt the officer say he gt 1 customer change engine oil to syntium 3000 few days later engine gt weird weird sound wo... Then after that the customer change back to syntium 800. cos I bring my own syntium 3000 to change.. I bought at rm178 per 4l. ^^ any sifu Here using syntium 3000? No problem right?
*
The SC prolly trying to scare you only.... and these "approved" SC usually knows nuts about oil or its uses...

A few of us are using Syn3000, no problem so far for the engine... on the contrary, JackNg uses Syn800 and he is the one having weird engine noises when the oil is dirty, and the noises goes away when new oil is used....

So u decide if Syn800 semi oil can really last 10K as per claimed by Proton... its your car and your investment....

DRL la.... not diff, but depends on where you want to install it as you need proper sized ones to fit...

IE. If you wanna fit it next to the foglights, you need Philips 5 LED (ask the owners for size) as it fits nicely.... but at the driver side area, you need to cut holes to slot in the DRL.... so some work is needed, and careful workmanship is required to make it look nice....
