Also, how much can the rims/tyres fetch?? Its considered 2nd hand once "touch the ground", and ppl oredi know this is "sepehsial ehdihtion" rims.... which actually makes it not so sepehsial anymore.....

True as those R3 rims have its unique design only to R3 and are really limited as only X amount are produced...

While the sepehsial ed ones are off the YHI shelves Advanti M8501, which prolly can be bought at any YHI distributor shops.... and same for the AR01 Yoko tyres....

AND buying both outside will prolly be cheaper than buying from Proton, no...???

Again Malaysian are very believing on rumors and what the internet says.....

Proton have a deal with Mitsu, and this is prolly tied to minimum X numbers of engine/gearbox combo for each CC of car.... and current signs are that Proton are having trouble selling off the 1.8 now....

So, when the magical X minimum contracted amount is up, Proton will decide to continue or not.... and when the whole LGT/Inspira share platform deal expires, Proton will also have to decide to continue or not....

So the Inspira model will definitely be discontinued, its a matter of when.... as for the rumor mill, it prolly wont be one year after launch....

Thats the thing with this rim... there are plenty very similar design (with little diff in cutting) out there, even Advanti have a few such design.... this is due to the very popular ori design by BBS, which incidentally is the ori spec rims for Evo X....

However, we dont have insiders info on the actual details of the contract....

But... if based on Proton's own history, the Inspira could be selling way past 10 years... see how long they were selling the other popular Lancer based model.... the Wira...???

Discontinued or not, the good thing about shared platform products (LGT/Inspira, Lancer/Wira) is that the spare parts are plentyful as there are market for parts that fits BOTH cars.... and there are continued interest for the spare parts sellers to continue (pun intended) sourcing and procuring these parts.... makes sense right...??

Only advantage of it being discontinues earlier is for the existing owners be able to brag that their car is indeed a LIMITED EDITION lor....

Get one and make it your wedding procession car.... and then get willing owners here to join your procession with other Inspira cars.... damn yeng wan.....

Add rings, hooks and led blinking and running lights.....

Our Inspira setup is pretty good oredi... adding the struts just give you slightly better steering accuracy, for me la...

Hmmm... noticed that your struts bar welding is also not fully cover the entire length of the contact area, as per sleed.... maybe this is the new batch production...???

RM400 for a 1in water pipe welded to 2 O plates, and is sold as ori Mitsu struts..... seems all car manufacturers knows how to make good money from parts....

The current batch oredi 5 digits, starting 1XXXX, so you shld ask for the last 5 digits....

For pedal lock, u can try Shorty5 (who is in Klang) or William (JE Auto in SS2, same row as Public Bank, next to Hailam Cafe)...

Come TT if you at KL/PJ... u can do engine hood alarm switch (cheap and geed security add-on by XCInspire), flip key (also by XCInspire), strut bars, under bars, engine ECU re-mapping, Voltage Stabilizers, etc....

Again, come TT to see the mods done on each car....

Rims can get replica BBS for only RM1500.... at last TT, one JB plated Klang based car was with em 17".... damn nice....

I wont be getting the car simply for the overly hyped so called R3 bodykit (which is a rip off as they are only skirting added on, and at the price they are asking).... the same car above did a full Evo X front, side and back conversion in JB for RM3000, and its using ABS material....

Anyone had pics of this car and the rims....???

My feet is constantly heavy (ask the fellas who was tiong-ing me last Fri) when the roads are clear (at night), and I am driving the car this week to work (in AM and PM city jam), and still can achieve 500++km....

Try changing the petrol brand or station, then monitor again..... ave city+some agressive driving will give you 450 - 480km per full tank....

Added on November 6, 2011, 12:49 amIts also due to the softer suspension setup used by Proton to increase the comfort level (handling and bumpiness in LGT is pretty harsh)....

Bigger rims and tyres helps but only a bit.... Changing to harder (and lower) springs helps, using adjustable absorbers (and set it to harder) helps, or simply adding a suspension rubber damper (cheapest and most felt performance mod ever) helps....

If you wanna change rims + tyres, do it now as your trade-in value can fetch RM1000-1500 as they are very new.... if after CNY, you will cry at the trade in value and you will then wanna wait till they go botak....

Yeah.... that too.....

215/45/17 is preferred as the tyres are wider and profile is taller, makes the gap between wheels and fender look smaller...

Why dont you look at Allenzz's car, his is using 50 profile on 17" rims... the makes it look like 18" as the gap is smaller...

BTW, his rims is the BBS design, the one used in Evo X and the one being copied by Advanti M8501 used in the Inspira R3....

Potatoes.... NOOOOOOOOO....!!!!!

The sub cant produce too much bass (you will hear metal knocking sound) when volume on loud, but very little bass when volume is soft.... for the price you pay, you can find a decent 2 channel amp + sub in box oredi.....

But hope you are happy with the buy, as you prolly have bought it....
