I donno about our "nappa"ized leather seats.... but for my old ride, i simply use J&J baby oil which is the perfect upkeep for hard leather seats....

poadster is another forumer who has petrol card aka guna duit syarikat...
Thanks for the lovely intro.... a bit sarcasm, but thanks anyway....

Company give petrol mai use RON97 lor.... its the best fuel for our ride (leaner AFR mix and engines runs a little less hot), and some added performance.... tho dont expect improved performance by leaps and bounds from RON95....

1. windscreen with rainsensor attach (2.0) .. cost 3k for the windscreen compare 400 for 1.8 version - RM2600 for windscreen only, 1.8 cant convert as no module
2. auto cruise .. can be enable tongue.gif
3. paddle shift .. can be added (applied to CVT only) - RM700 (ish??)
4. auto headlights - (cant be add on as no module in 1.8)
5. auto climate (auto aircon) .. looks much better then 1.8 manual type. can be change as well - RM700 (ish)??
6. chrome front grill and side window - RM300 (from China)
7. bodykit with duck tail spoiler - (ok, most 2.0 owners donwan this if the add spoiler... but a RM200 value?)
8. leather seats - RM3200 for full Nappa wrap
9. 3 point seatbelt all round ... 1.8 (4 x 3point seat belt, 1x 2 point) - The middle 3 point seatbelt harness - RM700

that is about it
*
The total conversion above is RM8400, and not to mention you dont get the 2.0 engine, and the Lokatoo GPS unit (not bad after hack to Papago and Garmin)....

Add the price diff to get the 1.8 to match 2.0's gadgets and tech, you will be paying more than the RM7K in after market products, the time spent on acquiring and installing them....

And the biggest issue for me, potential warranty issue... try claim warranty on 1.8 with paddle shift and cruise control module attached to the steering stalk, the SC can easily void it.... even driving in to SC for oil change can create problem if the SC workman decides to "take note" of you added items into the service records....

I took 2.0 (and the engine is slightly more CC) for this very reason, not to mention i prefer to keep my other leg free during driving.... brows.gif brows.gif

i dun think there is issue with Plug n play items... hehe
tat day just shown proton big balls ppl ... he says tak ada masalah one la.. he says anyone with MUT III can enable those setting for you .. lolz ..

and the paddle shifter is just plug and play as well .. even 1.8 mt have that wire .. but useless lolz ..
*
I am just saying if any potential buyers wanna compare the 1.8+mod vs 2.0 diff.... if they want the gadgets then 2.0 is the better and easier buy....

Existing 1.8 owners can mod to their liking.... but the potential warranty issue will be there, just know the risks involved.... diff SC diff playbook, notice some SC cant even allow you to bring our own oil (unless its Petronas) and claims it can void warranty....

So the current discount are marketing gimmicks? as u guys can check it out at mudah
even at LYN got salesman offer discount rm5500 every model PLUS 2 year free maintenance....So after looking at these two i was thinking y not...Need not fork out xtra 5.5k for downpayment and also 2 year peace of mind

Going to get the white 1 and just keep it standard, since my every car also modified and not even 1 is comfortable due to the thin tyre and not to mention dented rims and bloated tires due to roads blackhole
*
Current discounts are mainly dependent on the dealer and the sales person, if they wan to make more or less commissions per car.... RM5000 + 2 years maintenance is pretty standard discount now...

U can tahan the poison not to mod this car meh??? There are plenty of stuff to mod, and you will start with handling (tyres, rims, suspensions) as the car is pretty floaty with stock setup....

Replica rims + thin profile (40 series) are the prefect formula for dented rims, esp our roads.... doh.gif doh.gif

Proton Customer service as they told me that if i use proton oil filter will void warranty! Holy....
This is the potential warranty issue i was talking about.... now even Proton CS is saying using Proton's own branded oil filter will void warranty.... so the warranty thingy is "suka hati dia" type of claim... not proper documentation on what can or cannot...

Just continue using the oil filter AND keep the receipt... its an authorized (i hope it is) Proton SC that changed and used the Proton oil filter.... if any problem you can sue them....

Makes no sense whatsoever that Proton branded oil filter will void warranty on engine.... ???

U konpuis pelan chaio? Our car comes with Mitsu filter mah, just change back to Mitsu filter la.
If they said u must change from the originally comes with Mitsu to Proton filter if not will void warranty, then ask them pelan chaio give us Mitsu filters in the first place?
*
Dont "slowly leave" (pelan chiao) so fast la....

Sleed car SC use Proton oil filter, then he "d1ck free" go contact Proton parts and Proton SC that now tells him his car using Proton oil filter will void warranty.....

Proton really need to get their act right... damn 9 7 tiew....

guys... do u all hv this problem?

when i drive my camry, those car beside me, most of the time, will behave in proper manner.

but when u drive your "facelifted" inspira... u tends to get more cars wanted to 'race' or 'smoke' you...especially those myvi (i dont mean no respect)...., they will just love to cut in front of you... pelan chaio??!!
*
Because they think both of you are local branded car, thus their 1.5L engine can take your Mivec powered one lor... same applies to modded Wira-lutions, Putras, and other pelan chiao makes...

My lesson to them... no more "slow move" (pelan chiao)... i see them from the back, i pedal to the metal and let them smell fumes.... for those who cut in front, i left swipe them and cut back (then jam brakes if they were LCLY when they first did it)....

Now, my regular home routes, no one messes with me when they see inspiRED coming from the back....

Actually i can tahan not to mod car anymore since i'm already not racing boy...Gone are those days with my trusty wira then change to sentra then city and now camry
wira mod performance, sentra drive few months sold...damn lousy ride + super bad fc,
honda city vtec cvt very good n save fuel and the current camry nonit to say...

Not only imitation rim will dent,u have to see the car weight and the holes u go over
My ori SSR type C also kantoi lubang....

BTW...the new 2.0 all comes with solar and security tint?

Added on November 8, 2011, 6:32 pmAnother thing i dun understand wat u guys mean fucuk the service semi synthetic?
means they give semi only then have to top up to use fully synth is it?
can buy better oil ask them change?
*
Not only weight of car and the type/depth of holes u go over, the SPEED you enter the hole is also important... brows.gif brows.gif

Inspira comes with solar and security tint for the sides, solar only for the front and back, by EcoTint that claims its their highest range, costing RM2900.... one bro here was quoted RM550 for tinting one rear window... shocking.gif shocking.gif

As for the oil, the free service oil given is Syn800 semi syn oil, and thats supposed to last 10,000km. What some of us did was (1) top up RM to change to Syn1000 or Syn 3003 (depends on availability in the SC), or (2) BYOO - bring your own oil and take home the Syn800. These two options depends on the SC, to which they allow you to do. Take note some big SC dont allow either, so ask first before going...

RON97....

Personal experience (on other car la).... BHP best, Esso, Caltex (but very limited stations), Shell, Petronas...; in that order....

Exercise by chasing dugongs.... didnt someone oredi sworn off chasing dugongs, and yet secretly hunts them down till they rather get into accident (behind bus) than be hunted by this so called "Pemandu Berhemah"....

Or are you referring to this "magical indian oil" additives?? IMO, those stuff are crap and dont help much, esp as the engine is still new and you are already using fully syn oil....

The torque figure are really awesome...so if both accelerate and the prius lead first, mostly both will just go along all the way with inspira behind since horse power more o less same....prius has the best aerodynamic and lowest co-drag on
a mass produced car

Added on November 9, 2011, 2:54 pmBTW....do we have to top up rm 140 to chg from semi-synthetic to fully-synth oil?

Added on November 9, 2011, 3:01 pm
Another thing is that i went and test driven inspira today...was disappointed there were
no 2.0 for test drive...The sa told me there were no 2.0 for test drive only 1.8 all the while

So after testing the ride i could say well the comfort level is quite near to my camry but of course with higher NVH...quite high actually but the tires and suspension do absorb the roads imperfection nicely...And so with its high level of comfort comes high level of body-roll....this is just usual when we do fast lane switching can feel the body roll
The 1.8 unit just isnt good enuf for me so i realy hope can test drive the 2.0 but just too bad wasnt available, but still i will be buying the 2.0 one already...for its price i think my choice cant go wrong this time (findger-crossed)
My wife damn hate locals car as has bad experience with them, the rest of our honda toyota n nissan cause much problem at all
*
1. Inspira could take the Prius when both are running down a straight as it has the MIVEC powering the high end RPM, Prius IMA boost is for low end.... comparing 1.8 to 1.8 la, 2.0 Inspira will overtake Prius at high end...

2. I would top up or change to fully syn oil.... you will be running the car fast and furious.... yeah, you.... my racer boy days are looooooong over but i keep pedaling to the metal each time i am in this car... all other cars seems to drive so slow... also, ask Matrix on this too... he hunts dugongs in his Inspira...

3. For quick and easy solution to body roll... add rubber dampers to the springs... then add strut bar, suspensions, rims and tyres... in that order...

4. Refer to the bold line, these Japanese models caused you much problem, or you miss out typing one word?????? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

my friend who drives an accord 2.0 took my car for a spin the other day,

we manage to clock 24 minutes through federal highway on Sunday night at about 11pm to scott garden in old klang road...

he was impressed actually with the power..

well and i sat on his vtec, no doubt can feel the power at the end, but still..... i felt our mivec more..
*
Inspira can tapao Accord 2.0 anytime, due the weight difference.... the diff is our car is CVT gearbox, thus you wont feel the VTEC kick, but due to the weight diff, our car actually can go much faster than the accord, in drag or in high speed runs.... not to mention our car is more agile and easier to swerve than the big and slow Accord....

24 minutes from Klang to OKR??? Thats slow right??? Try it at 3 am when the roads are clear-er....
