glad it helped u...
which method are u using for battery calibration? because there are some debates saying that sgs2 variants need no oldschool battery calibration like htc or others as sgs2 has a built in battery calibration circuit.

why dont u try galaxyrom 4.1? u need to ask from the fb group link from my pdf

normally i just use mine normally and after 2-3 days it will behave again normally.
*
yeah i just thought no harm in doing it.hehe i used 2 methods.

switched off phone and full charge. remove battery 180secs. and put it back in switch on.

and also using the batterycalliberation app.

didnt notice any changes after doing it.

will need to google on that rom bro, cause im still new to all this and it seems rooting is just the beginning.

now im reading on this thunderbolt script..and try to learn more and more

when flashing firmware, there is not such thing as u must use same firmware as u are running right now.

because flashing custom firmware is just like flashing new or update firmware.

does not matter which version.

so yes, u can use any version of custom rom, besides it is recommended to do full wipe anyway, so any bugs from old firmware will not be there.
*
ahh crap. i should have done that. a full wipe 1st.

actually the method 180sec might work as it is mentioned to be useful for sgs2.

and once i read, but forgot already, there is actually a way to calibrate by deleting a file but i forgot which file, it is not the batterystats.bin, this one usually for htc phones or older samsung.

keep on learning man, maybe u can become the next dev for i9100g, we are really2 lacking of dev here. smile.gif

hmmm glad i tried one that might have did some good for the phone. dont think so i can ever be that advance bro like you guys..

guys,

i tried flashing superRom juts now, so i downloaded V1.0. the guide says i need to extract the zip file.

v1.0:

Download rom from the link below.
Extract the zip. You will find a folder.
Copy the folder to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/
Go to CWM recovery
Go to backup/restore option
Select SuperROM_v1.0_I9100G

but when i extract it says some file error. so i did the creezalird way, paste the whole zip file, boot into recovery select the zip, it comes up with an error.not sure what im doing wrong here

my question is, why do u want to flash 1.0 version? that one is really outdated and even the dev still learnt on how to create flashable file.

i suggest u get another rom, like galaxyrom or dark rom or homam g v3, these are recently updated.
*
the thread mentioned i need to instal V1 1st befoe going for superRom2 bro.

im now on superatmos 2.1.1, wanna try superRom v2

you guys referring to LA1 = XXLA1 right?

currently im on DZKL3, if i wanna change to XXLA1, just download the tar file and flash with Odin, then flash superatmos 3 via odin also, then flash the XXLA1 with odin again to remove yellow triangle. am i on the right path.

if u are rooted, u can use mobile odin pro
if u are not, u can either get rooted easily by flashing rooted kernel (void warranty, need usb jig)
or u can downgrade rom and root using doomlord and use mobile odin pro afterthat.

all in my guide like Andrewtst said.

yes, we are referring to XXLA1
*
thanks guys.

assuming i dont used mobile odin pro..i can also use the odin from pc. this will be the steps.

1. download stock firmware XXLA1 from XXLA1 provided by bro andrew.

2.flash stock firmware XXLA1 with odin V1.83(via pc)

3.Flash superatmos 3.0 to get rooted via Odin

4.Flash any custom ROM i like SUperROM2.0, Galaxy ROMRC3, or Homam via CWM.

5.Once done, flashback stock firmware via ODIN to remove yellow riangle.

6. Use USB jig reset binary counter.

7.Done.

Sifu's please correct me if im right or wrong, even though there is an easier way its ok, this is the way im comfortable with, and feel its quite easy for me. just want assurance that what im doing is right just to make sure i dont get my self in deep s**t with a bricked phone.

thanks bros

glad it helped.

just one more last note, i am not sure if u are aware or not, but some other people seems to be confused about this.

if u flashed any rom on the current rom, it will replace the current rom.

for example, u are running stock LA1, then u flashed GalaxyRom RC4 (based on KL3 maybe, if i am not mistaken), now u will be running KL3 aka Galaxyrom RC4, not LA1 patched with Galaxyrom RC4

some people thought that custom rom is something like a patch, but custom rom is actually a full working rom and it has different base and version.

hope now it clears.
*
shocking.gif ohhhhh.... that i didnt know.

ok, so assuming now i want to stay on LA1, i need to only maintain superatmos 3.0 kernel

but if i get galaxyrom RC4 ill be back to KL3 again.

now im not sure what to do, basing on what you and andrew are saying remaining on superatmos 3.0 with LA1 is the best ? can share why you prefer this compare to customr roms like RC4, or superRom2.0? so far i thought wanna try those roms

i prefer to use stock as i am modding it myself, so at least i know what to mod and what i removed.

if i use custom rom, sometimes dev removed something that i want to use and vice versa.

i never tested any of those custom rom, but honestly, if u are really new and using many stock samsung, just stay with stock especially LA1, just use superatmos 3.0, it is more than enough already.

just my 2cents.
*
roger that bro. i guess this is a journey i need to take and find my way. smile.gif

i shall experiment and see ..wish me a safe journey and no bricks thrown at me.

thanks bro notworthy.gif

bro creezalird,

im now back to LA1 with superatmos 3.0.

i tried RC4 adn superROM2.0.

rc4 really didnt like it,didnt feel smooth and felt like a bit messy.

superROM2.0 was nice, but got some bugs, like cant delete the songs in music player, my gf was really unhappy with this, so no choice revert back.

like i said, stick to stock rom, remove any app u dont want, tweak a bit around, done. much better..lols
*
yup gonna do this...will purchase titanium backup pro to start freezing apps i dont need using this Applications Safe To Remove and play around with my settings to achieve optimum bat life. realise battery draining quite fast, just playing with settings and stuff in airplane mode, maybe still calibrating.
