Okay time to flash Superatmos kernel 1.1 + SuperRom v 1.1 - its already out on xda.
Will check out battery life on this so called lightweight ROM.

Awesome! Gonna flash both v1.1 aswell.

Added on December 8, 2011, 7:31 pmFlashed to SuperROM v1.1.

So far so good. Doesnt feel buggy or anything. Will check on its batt life.

Any of you guys using the themes? ICS and Black Android theme.
I'm still using the ICS theme as I like it so much. It was buggy with v1.0.
Will see how it goes with this one.

not sure what's the problem...cant install any apps on v1.1...the progress bar is running for about 10s...then screen off and everything reset again... and boot loop take many times with no sound...
*
Hmm... the initial boot will take time to boot. I think superatmos removed the sound as the old sound is too short.
I'm not sure what happened to yours. I have no problem installing apps.

But, I got problem with my PC unable to detect the phone. Was trying to transfer some files.
After some troubleshooting, reinstalling and removing etc... I found out the problem lies at the latest superatmos kernel.
I'm currently using MyGKernel which is working fine.

Maybe you can try asking superatmos regarding your problem. Or you can try other kernel and see how it goes.
All the best!

Added on December 8, 2011, 10:20 pmBefore that, have you tried rebooting the phone, wipe dalvik cache?

Added on December 8, 2011, 11:22 pmAh bummer. Was so curious, I decided to try again from scratch.

Reflashed DZKJ2. OK.
Reflashed superatmos kernel v1.1. OK!
Reflashed SuperROM v1.0. OK.
Reflashed SuperROM v1.1. Not OK!

Now I've found the real culprit.

The issues are; PC cant detect the phone.
Even with or without USB Debugging.
So I cant transfer file; songs, videos etc.
And I cant open Software Update. Clicked but nothing happened.
So now, I'm reflashing back to SuperROM v1.0 and see how it goes.

Will update again later.

Added on December 8, 2011, 11:25 pmI just hope somebody kind enough to post this issues in XDA forum. Cant post due to less than 10 posts. I can spam but I need a good spam. LOL.

Similar exp .

Tried kernel 1.1 and rom 1.1. Not good. The Rom is too lightweight.many apps been removed .including search and software update components .

Kernel 1.0 drain battery but kernel 1.1 is ok .
So now running kernel 1.1 plus Rom 1.0 .good battery .put on ics theme. Really cool .only problem sometimes camera fails or hang .otherwise good .cleared dalvic .lets see if camera problem comes back
*
Yup. I also suspected superatmos deleted Samsung components for SuperROM v1.1.
Currently running on v1.0 with kernel v1.1. Looks ok for now. smile.gif

try put on ICS back on it. I have ICS running. Its awesome . Better than the ics launchers.
So far even before JD, setcpu and freeze unwanted apps, battery life is good, goes down like 2-3% per hour on standby
Yup running on ICS theme aswell. smile.gif

I think the new kernel contributed to the better battery life.

Its been a tiring day for me. Might stick to SuperROM v1.0 for some time even if the v1.1 been repaired.
Its no fun backing up/restoring back... selecting icons for home screens... etc et cetera over and over again. LOL.

Added on December 9, 2011, 1:32 amAhh superatmos replied to my problem in xda.

Try to reboot the phone once and connect to PC. USB should be detected. It does happen few times when you install a new rom and don't reboot.

I already rebooted dozens of time. Not only 1 person having this problem.

GAH! I need to spam more in xda forum.

Do read his previous posts carefully. He tried SuperROM 1.1 but got the same problem as I am, so he changed back to 1.0.

Still got problem with USB. Thought it was solved by reflashing SuperROM v1.0. But it came back this morning. Sigh. This is tiring.

Might just leave it until I'm calmer.

Thats why we flashed back the v1.0 and remove the apks ourselves. Tedious but safe. LOL.
I do think the kernel v1.1 is OK. Specially the batt life.

I'm running SuperROM v1.0 with superatmos kernel v1.1.

No problem. Very smooth. Battlife is awesome!

I'm gonna stick with this setup for awhile. smile.gif

I'm more laidback with this phone. Found "stable" Custom ROM and stick with it. Hence the decision to stick with SuperROM v1.0 and superatmos kernel v1.1.

For cooking and baking, I have Nook Color to play with.
