Haiyaaa... me too....
I had reflash all to original DZKJ2 firmware and trying for last 7 hours to do this thing. Same.... unable to chmod, mount: permission denied, zergling didnt leave anything interesting... the whole same things.

I already remove droid explorer which was autostart up on pc, mobilegoservice which also has its version of adb.. and now for the final time I am going to uninstall and reinstall Kies. Geex!

Side note: I am unable to log in to Samsung account after flash back to DZKJ2 ori and also cant access samsung dive in web, anyone else can or its samsung web problem? Is it a must to have samsung account on ur phone to be able to update software via kies , since reflash ori KJ2, Kies says this phone is not supported for firmware updates thru kies. In past it will declare, the version of software is latest blah blah blah...only thing i can think off is samsung account on phone.

Tired, but no root.
*
May I suggest a factory reset and redo everything?

Weird as I just upgraded from 2.3.5 rooted to 2.3.6 rooted + mykernel + Juffo's First Custom ROM. All in ONE day.
No problem at all.

1. For the new rooting method, maybe I need to uninstall all Android stuff off the pc, android injector, etc and start with fresh phone with stock DZKJ2 and start again.
You dont need to uninstall. Just open Task Manager and End Process those Android related stuff (Kies, myphoneexplorer etc)

2. If someone is on the stock DZKJ2, how to go to Juffo Custom Rom v2 without mykernel 1.1.1 .
I think it can be done via ODIN. Need I9100G to confirm it tho.

Added on November 13, 2011, 10:22 amI've done rooting on my Nook Color but with different methods. And its my first time using ODIN. LOL.

Hmm the Juffo's Custom ROM seems to be munching on the batt quite fast.
How about you guys? Thinking of flashing back to stock ROM.

Battery seems better with Juffi's ROM actually. I just don't like the percentage battery meter and those semi-transparent pop up menus.
*
I have to say the orange color is not my thing but still, no biggie.
I'll give it another try. Maybe few days. To check on the battery.

I didnt really do anything much on the fon ever since last night. And I was sleeping most of the time.
Nothing abnormal on the betterbatterystats and running devices.

Try waveweaver method below and tell us how it goes. Good luck!
QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 22 2011, 06:59 AM)
Go to Setting > applications > manage applications > all > camera > clear cache/data
- If have Titanuim use it to clear Dalvik cache
- If still cannot then do factory/hard reset
- If lose apps after factory/hard reset, download back Titanium and use it to restore back all your missing apps

Try opening the Root needed Apps. See can use or not. If yes, good for you. If not, you need to reroot it again.

Yours updated to 2.3.6 already?
Did you closed all phone related software on the PC like Kies, myphoneexplorer etc? You can check at Task Manager and end those related processes.

hi, still can use the adfree and antutu benchmark.

if now i want to flash with the custom roms, do i need to flash it via odin directly or MyGKernel 1st?
*
Can use both but ODIN will increase your binary counter. MyGKernel, need to install it first then can use to flash Custom ROM.

So i think the update doesnt unroot ur phone, thats good smile.gif
MyGKernel is a custom kernel that support CWM (Clockwork Mod)
Ya, the orange theme is a custom rom~
So if u wan to install the custom rom, flash MyGKernel via ODIN (enter downloads mode Vol.down+home+power)
then flash the custom rom via CWM (recovery mode Vol.up+home +power)
Then u can enjoy a rooted i9100G v Orange custom rom but with the yellow triangle logo on startup~
(can use usb jig to clear it i think, correct me if I'm wrong)

I think why G version change to 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, TI OMAP 4430 chipset is because the ICS optimization OS.

Since Motorola driod razr also using exactly the same processor and according to an interview with TI guy article, the ICS is optimize for TI 4430 for droid razr and TI 4460 for Gnexus.

I am wondering the custom rom for Droid Razr can be used for S2-G version too since both running same chipset ??

*mind you the TI 4430 is able to run at 1.5Ghz*
*
Interesting info! Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure about the Droid Razr custom ROM.
Issit nice? Mind share the link?

can this custom improve battery life?

It should but as of now, cant feel much.
I'm still monitoring the battlife. I do agree that the battlife have improved but maybe not sufficient enough.
The more you explore, the more time you spend on the phone. LOL.

Guys, whoever with Juffo's Custom ROM... how is your data services?
I'm having multiple disruptions today. Stucked emails, messaging etc.
I will need to reboot, then everything went thru normally.
