Thanks for replying creezalird but i would try I9100G's method first to root my SGS2. doesnt matter right i still can unroot the phone regardless of the method i use to root it. ami correct? =)

the first page is outdated..see my pdf guide in my signature..it is the same method but with updated links and steps. i even implemented new method for some people.

yes, unroot is easy. just reflash stock rom. but beware with binary counter as it can only be fixed using usb jig and u need to buy those

aight thanks man. I think i'll use the longer method wouldn wanna spend money to buy another USB jig

I tried the doomlord rooting method and midway when the software wanted to push the apps to be written it cant be done. any idea how to solve this? @creelizard

no, i clearly said that with mobile odin pro, u can do upgrade/downgrade with benefit of having automatic rooted.
but if u want to use normal odin (PC), it is doable also.
ps : just google for black version

firstly, which firmware are you on right now? as i said in my guide, only certain lower firmware can be used with doomlord and sometimes need to be used together with memory crash method.

if u are getting a line like "hellions with blue flames" , this means that u have unsupported firmware and must downgrade with odin to proceed.

if u are getting a line like "nothing interested found", this means that u need to re-run with "memory crash method"

AHH I SEE I SEE sorry im really new at this. my phone is currently version 2.3.6 GingerbreadDZKL3, explains why i cant root the phone. I need advice from u @creelizard, what should i do? should i downgrade to a lower version so i can ue the doom lord method or just proceed with the flash root kernel method? SHould i upgrade to ICS too? (i think there's a new OS for SGS2 called ICS right? not too sure)

i not sure now doomlord can root dzkl3 or not..
if i am u, i will downgrade dzkj2 with odin, root it with doomlord..
ICS now available for non G from what i heard.. need go to SC to upgrade..
G version haven i think

i think i going to do that on my younger bro phone, seems ics no update on G version i think it gonna takes month..

i have 1 question, is it possible i backup his phone system data like game etc? (stock phone haven root) when i do root process as i mention early it will clear his system data..

regarding backup, i think it is not possible without root access, which firmware has the phone right now?

i think, u just use the flash rooted kernel directly as this will not wipe any data, after that u can backup everything with whatever u prefer, ie TBP.

but of course u will get the infamous yellow triangle and binary counter, just buy usb jig then, rm10 only maa..hehe

creelizard ive downgraded my version to KJ2 and tried the doomlord method using memory crash method... still isnt rooting..... any more items i can troubleshoot?

Oh i got 'nothing interesting found' initially but then it still wun work using memory crash method. need help guys!!!
